When I turn my computer on nothing happens. You can hear the drive or cooling fans but there is nothing on the screen. Normally there is the spinning wheel but now nothing.

I have a problem with my mini/quicktime setup and i was hoping for some help from you all at macrumors...
Here is the setup
This system is setup for a admissions office in which we have a mac mini set up to a LCD screen that is all mounted on a wall.
we have the mini on timer to come on from 1230-5pm and when the mini comes on, quicktime is set to automatically open and play the admissions video.
Now here is the problem:
when I turn on the LCD every day, the screen is blank but Ican still hear the video, I figured it was in hibernation so i move the mouse and hit the keyboard and nothing. i need to push the power button and hold it for a couple seconds then the movie comes on but the video is choppy.
here are the specs on the mini: 1.25 power pc G4, 512 Ram.
its old but its only function is to play this video...
So my quicksilver has been working great up until this afternoon. i had to restart and now whenever i turn it on all i get is a blank grey screen and nothing else. i dont hear a startup chime or anything.

I turned it on and off multiple times, tried to restart it but the screen will never turn back on. The computer makes the noise like it is turing on and the keys light but but the screen doesn't change.

New to Mac computers. When trying to open computer after being in sleep mode, I clicked the mouse to open the password screen, & a blank blue/black screen appeared & the mouse timer( colored circle) appeared, as if to be waiting. I had to unplug the computer to reboot it. This has happened twice in 2 days.

A small (about 1 inch square) blank, white box has appeared at top left-hand corner of my screen. Nothing seems to shift or remove it - cursor doesn't seem to recognise or register on it. Recently my iMac display goes black in the middle of using it. Initially I thought it froze up and I had to force it to reboot. But after this happned a couple of times I realized that I could stil hear the hard drive working and my peripheral lights (keyboard, etc) were still on. On a hunch I put it to sleep (Option-Cmd-Eject). After it goes silent I can press a key and the display comes back up and everything is normal (for a while).Â
It's now been doing this regularly for the last 3 weeks. Sometimes three or four times a day this occurs. When the screen goes black nothing seems to work except the sleep-wake thing. I've tried the screen brightness keys too - but that doesn't work either.Â
My software is up to date (Lion 10.7.4). This is a Mid 2010 iMac 27" with 12GB of RAM and the ATI Radeon HD5750.The regular software that I have running is:

Our iMac is starting up.....I can hear it loading. However the monitor screen is completely blank/dead with no backlight.

I restarted my mac this morning after the time was broken (as far as I know, I cannot manually change it). When it booted, it booted normally. It logged me in (I am automatically logged in) then it threw errors at me. The 2 errors were from Steam and Skype, but none from the mac itself. Steam error: " Steam failed to load: *SteamStartEngine(0xbfffdea4) failed with error 1: Failed create pipe: 28". I forgot to record the skype error, but it was something to do with it not being able to find a file. At this point, the background is blue, I can see the top bar but not the dock. I then close Steam and Skype windows and the bar disappears leaving me with nothing. A blank blue screen. The dock wont come up.Â
I would take this to support, but they want a serial code that i cannot access because its not on the hardware and I cant access 'About this Mac" because it disappears.

a blank white screen appears whens i start the imac up, it doesnt seem to respond to anything i press on the keypad or the mouse. it just simply stays on a white screen and wont let me log in or anything. when i turn the imac on it just pops up straight away without the loading sign and bluescreen that appears after the white.

I did a pram reset but that did nothing (I heard the initial chime and the one after the reset....still the same problem.) I'm a bit worried because I don't hear the hard drive starting up.
Some more info... Intel Imac 17" (late 2006 model), 512 mb of RAM, running 10.4 (I think). I am not familiar troubleshooting macs but I am troubleshooting PCs.
My iMAC is stuck on blank grey screen at startup. Keyboard is not active, won't function at all.

I have a mid 2007 iMac that seems to, for no apparent reason at all, just randomly go to a blank screen, locking up my Mac requiring a hard shutdown. This happens sometimes right after I start it up or after I'm on for hours at a time. Or not at all, I simply don't get it. I reinstalled Lion (after I redownloaded it to be safe) and it didn't seem to work.

my imac is about 3months out of the box and a few days ago i went to turn it on and....nothing. i could hear the start-up chime and the mac clicking and making "doing" noises, also i could clearly hear the volume toggle up and down. That said, the screen remained, well, dead and just black.So, the first thing on my agenda for the weekend was to take my imac into the shop. As i was organising the equipment, i tried one more time to turn it on.It worked.For me, that's a bad thing as my mac may do this again. It was out of action for 3 days now it's back. So now i am on here.Â

My daughter's old I Mac won't start. It is not backed up. We want to get some things off of it if we can. When we turn it on, we get the Apple logo with spinning wheel for awhile, then a question mark briefly and then a sky blue blank screen. Is there any hope of getting this to work? This computer is out of warranty. Does it seem that if we reinstall the Operating System we might find old data? Â

For three weeks now, the windows on my desktop turn blue and separate when I click on a link or open another window. I had the hard drive replaced; Apple diagnostic found nothing. Accidentally discovered it happened when I used my mouse. Scroll only worked forwards, not back or to the side. Replaced mouse with new, identical model. Still happens. Then I used an old mouse from 2003, no scroll wheel, but it seems to work fine.

My parents recently bought an iMac. Yesterday my mom was playing a game when the computer froze. Neither force quit or holding the power button was doing anything so in her frustration she unplugged the system. Today, after plugging in the system again, it won't turn on.
I press the power button on the side of the wireless keyboard and the green light on the keyboard turns on for about 3 sec and then starts flashing. No fans start up and the screen does nothing.

Most of the time when I turn on the Mac I get the white screen and question mark appear. Sometimes it will turn on and work. But often the coloured spinning wheel starts up especially after trying to use iphoto it freezes and a couple of times the screen has then gone black. The computer seemed pretty warm yesterday when this happened.Â
