I was using my MacBook Pro and all the sudden the screen started to flash and then went gray with lines and then black. I turned it on and off multiple times, tried to restart it but the screen will never turn back on. The computer makes the noise like it is turing on and the keys light but but the screen doesn't change.

My MacBook Pro gets a message when I first start up on my log in page. When I then go to log in i just get a blank grey screen. Any clues as to what I can do. I've been downloading quite a lot of TV shows recently from ITunes and was going to move them to a external HD but I cant see anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSomething is going bad with my computer. Recently I have been getting the startup disk is almost full, but it is not. I have over a gig left and have tossed a bunch of stuff. I feel it was an email or something that was downloaded that is causing it to eat up all the memory. I have also done the Disk Utility and fixed it a couple times in a row. what is happening or what I can do to put my finger on it?

My MacBook Pro is turning on to startup screen with apple icon and loading signal, but then after a few minutes the screen just turns white. What is wrong?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI turn on my computer and all i get is a blank white screen. No logo, no loading symbol, just a blank screen; though the start-up music still plays. I have tried almost all the solutions.

i'm getting the message that my startup disk is almost full though i was not trying to delete files or clear disk space. i realize, however, that i need to free up space on my disk. i cannot find or figure out how to begin doing that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a message that my startup disk is full. It happened while I was importing some videos. I do have a lot of videos on there. It's my daughter's macbook, but I use it for video editing. Is the startup disk the hard drive on these things? I'm not completely used to Macs yet, I was planning on deleting some of the older video files that are no longer needed, but should my daughter delete photos, etc. too?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have deleted everything on my computer except for my music and I don't see how it could possibly be full. It won't let me download anything. I just bought a movie on Itunes and i can't download it. What do I do?

The disk utility shows only 262 MB of free space available. I have 44 GB of space occupied by the "other" category. What is in this category and how can I free up some space? I can't even download necessary updates because I have no space left!

My startup disk is full, and can't even get in to anything to delete stuff, how can I get in and move things to my external hard drive (which is what I was doing when it somehow became full)? All that happens is I reset the computer, when I turn it on it says the start up disk is full, I put in my password and the screen just stays grey. I also noticed before I started moving things that the "other" storage of my 60GB macbook air was over 30GB, but not sure how that could be/what it is. Mainly just concerned with getting the photos and things from my computer to my portable hard drive
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was using my computer normally, it started to move slowly, so I properly shut it down. After leaving it off for a few minutes, I started it up again. However, every time I press the power button, it comes on and there is just a blank gray screen. No folder with a question mark on it, just a blank gray screen.

I am running OS X Lion on my startup disk is full. I checked my storage in the about this mac window. 49.72GB of my HD space is taken up by Other. Also in Disk Utility under the partition almost the entire rectangle is light blue. I am worried that my MacBook is to old to run the software. I use my machine to run Adobe CS4. The error turns up when I run Photoshop so I am unable to run the program at all.

I had my computer serviced about 7 months ago due to a "startup disk" being full issue. I received my computer back from repairs and the startup disk is now full again, despite me saving no data but photos, and very few of those (approx. 300) I have a 2010 MacBook.
