In order to install Windows 7 via bootcamp, do you have to use the full version of windows or can you use the upgrade disc to install? I figured I should ask before buying another license as I have an upgrade version of Windows 7 Pro that I don't use. I do own previous versions of Windows (all of them....just like I do Mac OS).

I have download the lastest flash version for my operating system but still can't play videos. I still get the same message - flash is not installed. If I check system preferences, flash is listed as installed. If I check for plug- ins in Safari I do not see flash. What do I need to do?

after a lot of testing we have managed to clear everything around the topic of flashing stock PC X1900XT/512Mb (256Mb is NOT working!!) with MacPro EFI ROM. Thank you all guys at Strangedogs! It WORKS prefectlly! Ofcourse flashing card with MacPro EFI rom reenders card useless in regular PC, you have to flash it back with original bios to make it work in PC again. Since PC versions of the 3870 are cheaper than the PC+Mac version, I was wondering if I'd be able to crossfire the PC+Mac version, and a regular PC version. (Obviously I'd only be looking to run Crossfire on the Windows side.) Would this setup cause problems with either the OS X or Windows side? BTW, I've got the 2008 Mac Pro with 2 PCI-E x16 slots.

I used to use Palm Desktop for Mac and know it is a little quirky and may have some issues with Leopard, so I'm trying to decide whether I should go down that path or just install Fusion and run the windows version in a VM. Anybody have any recommendations either way? She uses Palm Desktop only for syncing, so I don't need to worry about the Leopard iSync issues.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install OS X Lion on my 27" iMac.I've erased the HD using Disc Tool in recovery.HD shows no errors.I've tried Internet Recovery (it loads up, but wont start the installation)I've tried creating a recovery usb on another similar iMac, and use it on this. Same error, only differance is it keeps "loading" when installing, but nothing happens. Same error in log. When I try to start the Reinstall I get an error in the installation log that goes something like this:

I lost the ablity to login to my iCloud mail account after April 18, 2012. Not sure of the exact date but mac mail crredentials are no longer being accepted. Deleted the MobilMe account and recreated as an IMAP which is a standard protocol and should work but no luck. All my other IMAP accounts are still running fine. I can't log in from my browers either from my G5 running 10.5.8.

I am migrating my mail and archive folders from Mail to iCloud. I moved 20+ folders and over 8k messages with no problem by dragging and dropping the folder from 'On my mac' section to 'iCloud' section in Mail. The last two folders were the largest with over 1.5k in each folder. Over 1200 of the messages in each went in to iCloud without a hitch. Then I got this error:
The IMAP command “APPEND” (to [mail box name]) failed with server error: Message contains NUL characters.
There are 149 messages left in one folder and 203 in another folder. Try as I might, it will not work. I tried Rebuild mailbox option in menu and exported to Mail and mbox format and then re-importing. Still does not work.
