Intel Mac :: 21.5 Wi-fi Doesn't Work, Says Connected But Doesn't Work
Jun 23, 2012I experience this problem for 2 days now. The wi fi says it is connected and all the bars are full but id doesn't load a single page!
The internet i've got is vergin so normally is very fast.Downstairs where we have a desktop computer connected to the D-link is working as normal.
When I open the network diagnostics in mac it shows : wi fi is green , wi-fi settings is green, network settings is failed(red), ISP failed(red), Internet failed (red), server failed red.

Mar 6, 2009I have an Intel based Macbook running Bootcamp (Windows XP Home SP2). Option/Alt key periodically does not work under both Mac OS and Windows. It will work for a while, then stop working for a few hours. I have all of the latest updates installed on the computer. When the Option key is not working, I cannot select to boot to windows, or reset PRAM to try and fix it. I know I can boot into the Mac OS and have it reboot into Windows. This has been happening for a week now. I have not spilled anything on the keyboard, and it seemed to just startup after a week of non-use.

Feb 25, 2012Am living in Malaysia with my MAC OS X (version 10.68). Our provider just replaced our modem because we had internet access issues. This solved the problem for about a day and now we can't access the internet. It seems that the network configuration has changed and although we enter the new password assigned we are we can't access.
We have tried 'restarting the device', as was suggested. We restarted the modem, then later tried, resetting the router, doing both of those at the same time, and eventually restarting the computer.

Mar 13, 2012I'm a relatively new Mac user so I'm not sure if it's user ignorance or something is wrong with my computer but nothing happens when I insert a cd into the drive. Nothing shows up in iTunes, Finder, or on my desktop. Shouldn't I see an audio CD in iTunes? And if I put a blank DVD into the drive, shouldn't it show up in Finder so I can burn files to it?

Apr 14, 2012I turn off Imac, using apple menu. Sometimes the power button will work to turn it on, other times it won't. Been to 2 authorized dealers, they can't find problem. Sometimes jiggling or shaking computer will allow me to start using power button. Sometimes I open up case, plug and unplug everything, and then power button will work. Never know when it will work or not. Power button has had continuity check. It checks fine. Power plug is fine, outlet is fine.

Apr 14, 2012I have an iMac 24 running OS 10.6.8 and I can no longer load .pdf files from internet sites. I can load them when they are on my local HDD. I deleted Adobe Reader a couple times and re-installed version 10.1 and then ver 9. All I get when I try to load a .pdf from an internet site using Safari 5.1.5 or Firefox version 11.0 is a blank grey screen.

Intel Mac :: Some Usb Devices Won't Work But Others Are Fine?
Jun 2, 2012I'm new to using a Mac (and thus the forums), however, I am generally PC literate. I have recently purchased an Elgato eyetv DTT TV tuner stick but for some reason can't get it to work. I have tried all the troubleshooting tips from the manufacturer (including software updates and resetting the PRAMS) but nothing seems to fix it. It keeps coming up with the error message 'Device Not Found In Setup Assistant' and therefore I can't watch any TV with it. The only thing I haven't done is tried plugging my mac directly into the wall, as opposed to the surge protected power board its in (it wont reach my wall powerpoint without great difficulty anyway). The product comes from a Mac authorised seller.
The other product i've been having trouble with is a trickle saver (TrickleStar brand). I connected it all up (including with and without the added trickle switch) but my Mac wouldn't power up. I tried plugging the trickle switch in at the wall, not just the surge protected powerboard (with individual switches) but the Mac still wouldn't power up. The product states that it is PC & Mac compatible. However, i've had NO trouble connecting my Seagate external hard drive. I've also switched around my mouse/keyboard into different USB ports to test that they all work and they are fine.So I'm wondering if these products are made for/compatible with Mac, why doesn't my iMac like them?
