However, I've searched this forum and read about people having core shut down problems and how when playing any type of streaming video or media, the computer slows down. If they do slow down and over-heat... is it because of an issue that can be fixed? Or is the MBA simply not a machine to use for streaming media?

Nov 30, 2008I'm having an issue with iMovie '08 and YouTube. I recorded my iMac unboxing and even short clips using the iSight Camera, and tried to publish them to youtube. The videos say "Published to YouTube" beside them and all, but when I goto YouTube, the videos are not there. They don't even say "Awaiting Review" or whatever. They just aren't there. I'm entering correct account information and all. I'm annoyed, because one of the reasons I decided to get a mac was to engage in YouTube.

May 20, 2012Trying to view a YourTube video on a new current iMac running 10.7.4.Video is embedded in site that I administer, so I need to check the link when I update. Get the dreaded " This video is currently unavailable" tag.The video played fine before the Safari 5.1.7 update, and plays fine on my Air and on my iPod.No other updates or software changes - only the Safari update. So the Safari upgrade broke the part where the browser identifies itself to YouTube so I get the HTML feed instead of Flash?No Flash loaded on this iMac, ever.

Mar 31, 2010i'm having this minor but annoying problem with Firefox. every now any then when I move my mouse over the volume button while I'm watching a Youtube video in order to get the volume bar to pop up, nothing happens. if i click repeatedly on the button and go crazy it will pop up, but it will not let me slide the volume bar up and down. i don't remember having this problem with Safari. it's sort of like the browser isn't recognizing my mouse cursor hovering over the volume area in order for it to trigger the bar to pop up, if that makes any sense.

Aug 21, 2014I noticed that my Messages on youtube are instantly deleted when I comment on some peoples Youtube channels. I don't think its the person that owns the youtube channels doing it because it is deleted almost instantly after I log out. It's very odd and I don't think its youtube censoring my comment because I'm not cursing in the comment and I don't believe cursing is against the TOS on Youtube anyways.
Another thing I notice is that when I'm on a flash based chatroom that when someone I am talking to has left the chatroom it will still say they are in the chatroom until I click on my friendlist and than they turn red as if they are gone. It is very odd that I am noticing these strange bugs. However the chatroom thing could be a chatroom problem because it might do that on my Windows side which I never checked because I'm usually on that chatroom on my Mac side.

When we studied Paul's travels, I found a video of how the Romans built their roads with video of still usable Roman roads. It made the drier history come to life. That is, it did until YouTube changed their policies last month. I had a program simply called Downloader that worked wonderfully on my iPad to download videos, and then I could AirPlay them out. There now seems to be nothing working for iPad, so I am trying to find an iMac Downloader for YouTube. It doesn't have to be a free one, just a working one.

May 28, 2012Is there any way to save stuff from YouTube to a USB device for later playback? On my IMac, I guess it's "saved as" an archive link. So, it's just a shortcut when hooked to the internet for playback. When I work @ various places; I have computer access, maybe a Win, maybe a Mac; a lot of times no internet access. So, it would be cool to access music/stuff to pass the time. Usually I can't bring an IPod or such in (paranoia) - so it's maybe a CD or a USB-Wav or MP3.
