Feb 8, 2010We have a Mac user trying to send attachments in an email to a PC recipient. She is using Apple's Mail app. Whenever she tries to attach a file - a JPEG for instance - it seems to attach as an inline graphic rather than a normal attachment. The PC recipient gets no paperclip symbol on their end, and can't do anything with it. I'm assuming this may be a preference setting in Mail, but can't seem to find where to change it. Turning on the "Send Windows-friendly attachments" seems to make no difference.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Email Attachment Uploader Does Not Work In 10.7.3
Apr 25, 2012The attachment uploader no longer works, either with Mac Mail, or on Google Chrome or Safari. When trying to upload, the grey area with the folder names moves all the way to the right, obscuring the white area with any files I could upload. When I clear the cache completely in Chrome, I can upload a file if it is on the desktop, but if I move to any other folder the same problem happens again, and I again have to clear the browser to have a chance at uploading something. I can still drag and drop files into the attachment window, but it's rather annoying that I can no longer upload things in the normal fashion.

ICloud :: Search In Email Doesn't Ever Work
May 22, 2012for over a month I have been unable to use search in email on the icloud. If I search for ANYTHING at all, eventually it comes back saying it can not download emails. The email list is blank. Then, even after deleting the search criterai, I can see no emails whatsoever anywhere, not in Sent, not in Trash, and not in Inbound. The only way I can see emails again is to log out and log back in again. Email on the icloud has been like going back 10 yrs in functionality. It has been painfully slow and I see the Can not Load message frequently. All of this is while using my Macbook Pro.

OS X Mavericks :: ICloud Email Will Not Work Properly On Mac
Nov 30, 2014I have set up my email on my new Mac (it is iCloud email set up in the usual way using my apple ID) and the mailbox is running so slowly, it takes 10 minutes to recognise an incoming email, even if I click get email (retrieve mail is set to 'automatic'). My iPhone and my iPad ping with a new email straight away and I have to sit and wait for it to show up on the Mac. The same email account on other devices is fine.
Even worse - when I delete emails they disappear but then show up again in the inbox straight away, nothing happens I can hit delete 5 times and it just sits there doing nothing.
I have tried removing the account from the Mac and re adding it, I've tried rebuilding the mailbox, I have tried updating the OS, I have had the apple support look at it with remote viewing and they advised I reinstall the OS which I did and so far nothing has fixed this issue.
I have had to use my iPad to go through all my emails and delete old ones in the hope that it will speed my mailbox up but its made no difference, for some reason it just will not work on the Mac.Â

Mar 26, 2012I've had this email account with AT&T for a few years and it has worked with Mac Mail with no difficulty for a few years. Recently the account has been able to receive messages. Every time I hit Get Mail it asks for a password. I have installed all the latest updates through Software Update. I have a Mac Mini with OS Lion. After struggling for awhile, my inbox eventually comes in. I have reset all the incoming and outgoing POP Server accounts, as well as used the Web-mail version through [URL] and it all works fine.
