Jun 5, 2014I've tried six times to burn 290 photos, exported from iPhoto, to a RW DVD. The pictures export OK, the transfer to the DVD seems to go OK but it's when the disc is being verified that the problem occurs. It gets to somewhere around 25% verified then returns the message below and ejects the disc.
I only seem to have two burn settings:Â Max (2.4x) and 2.4x - I've tried both and failed.
As a test, I sent a mere 10 photos to a disc and that worked. Then I tried 100 to a new disc and it failed again. But the discs' capacity is 4.6 Gb.
In the past I've successfully burned several hundred photos onto many discs from the same manufacturer.
I'm not sure what's going on. Is it possible that the disc burner on my iMac is broken.

Aug 27, 2014I read a few old threads about this that said to check the disc permissions on disk utility and did all that. I read something else that said turn the computer off and turned it off and then on again but it didn't work. This is the first disc I have tried to burn since downloading mavericks. I haven't had any trouble before although I don't burn too many discs. I have an early 2009 iMac.

Jul 3, 2012I'm able to make DVDs from iPhoto or IMovie & I've mastered IDVD's Menus pretty well. The DVDs play ok in DVD players to that's a plus. Now, what I want to do is somehow put folders of photos .... mainly those I've used in the slideshows...... if possible, on the same DVD. The idea is I can gift a DVD with a video/slideshow & if the recipient wants the photos they can insert DVD disc into their own computer (not necessarily Apple) & download the photos.

Jun 30, 2008My .mac mail is being*received*on my blackberry but not on my mail programme on my laptop. My other email accounts are being received in mail on my laptop. Also Mail is running super slow and the only way to close it is through force quit.
The clock symbol is displayed next to the .mac account name in mail and even when i put the .mac account offline it keeps trying to download showing the ticking wheeling symbol or whatever it is called. Also when mail is open all other programmes run super slow and half the time safari does not work at all saying the system is not connected to the internet.
OS X :: Can't Burn CD - R Disc
May 26, 2010My friend ripped a CD via EAC into FLAC files, so that I could then burn a CD-R copy. I've done this multiple times without issue. However, with this current rip, the total file size is 708MB and does not fit on a regular CD-R disc. I'm a bit confused because all the files were ripped from a single Red Book CD. Is there anything I can do to reduce the total file size so that it fits on a CD-R disc (without removing one of the files)?

Oct 29, 2009I recently burned a project to DVD. It's a data disc, and seems to have worked fine, about 1.2 GB of the four available on the DVD-R I burned with a Superdrive on my G4 desktop.
I told it to write session in Toast 7 Titanium, but when i try to burn something else to the disc, Toast rejects it. With DVD's, can you only burn one data disc? No multiple sessions? It's okay if this is the case, I just want to know.

Apr 7, 2012When trying to burn a DVD via Finder, I get an error message of 'error code:- 0x8002006E and the disc wont burn. One time the disc wouldn't eject but I finally manged to do this via Disc Utilities. I have also tried to burn the DVD through Disc Utilities but it seems to get stuck when trying to create a new disk .dmg file.I recently had to have a new graphics card installed, and have had a few problems since with sleep and mounting external drives. Could this be connected?Â

OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: How To Edit Received Emails In Apple's Mail App
Jun 7, 2012I finally switched to Apple's Mail app 4 months ago after 12 years of using Eudora (because of the inevitable - that Lion or Mountain Lion, when I upgrade, will not support the foundation architecture that Eudora is built on).There are (AT LEAST) two functions available in Eudora that I very much want to do with Mail and currently cannot figure out how to do. I'm hoping that someone knows of a plugin that will do these functions, or will write such a plugin, or will tell me how to make this suggestion to Apple to include in a future update.
1) I want the freedom to EDIT a received message - to correct a subject line, or make it more relevant for my reference, or add a key word/prefix to the subject for future searching and archiving, along with being able to edit the message itself, so that it is the equivalent in a book (or an eBook) of adding comments/marginalia for future reference. (In my opinion, once I receive an email message, it is MINE - so I should be able to do what I want with it (which includes the responsibility of not rewriting a message to resend to appear as deceptive or fraudulent).
2) Write up a draft email, that would reside in the "Send" folder of Eudora, and for which I could select a time in the future that it should be mailed (dependent on the fact that Eudora would be running at that time, else it would send the next time Eudora was opened. I would LOVE to be able to do that in Apple Mail. Rationale: Often, when I receive an actionable email, I want to respond at that moment while the subject is fresh, but due to priorities or scheduling reasons, I don't want the response to go out just then. Maybe I want the response to go out after an event three days from now, but I want to process the message right now, and I don't want to have to remember to make a ToDo item to remind me in 3 days.

Sep 18, 2010I create my own music and sometimes people ask if they can have it on a CD. Since I really do not want people to be able to rip it to their computer's I have denied these requests. However as the demand apparently grows and more people start asking I feel that I would really want to be able to share my music with them, securely. What I would like to do is burn a cd containing my music that people cant rip. I know there will always be some way of doing it, but fore the average computer user preventing mediaplayer/itunes from being able to rip the music will be enough to keep them from doing it.
