Hey there! I don't seem to get through this Issue. I was trying to burn content to a Disc and it failed with the error code 0x8002006E, while the process was almost complete. I came across a few forums and nothing helped much to resolve this problem. Is there someone who knows the exact cause? Is this is a known-issue or anything already being addressed by Apple? Or a work-around to get this resolved? because i also read (did not try) that no third-party applications, as an alternative, solved this Issue. Disappointed! I tried to install windows through boot camp and it failed for some reason, now when I startup I get a white screen with the startup chime followed by a black screen with a blinking line in the top left of my screen. Is there a solution? (It's still under warranty, also)Â Also, if I leave the windows install disc in, it tells me to "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD" (or something similar), but my iMac doesn't to respond to my key mashing efforts.Â

I read a few old threads about this that said to check the disc permissions on disk utility and did all that. I read something else that said turn the computer off and turned it off and then on again but it didn't work. This is the first disc I have tried to burn since downloading mavericks. I haven't had any trouble before although I don't burn too many discs. I have an early 2009 iMac.

i'm trying to burn a Windows 7 ISO my brother got from some ACM subscription thing. Anyway, every time i try to burn it, it says "Unable to burn "(cd name)". (The burn failed because of a medium write error.)". Why is this happening? Is it the superdrive or the DVD-Rs? My computer is the Macbook pro with 2.4GHz intel core 2 duo cpu and with 2GB of 676MHz DDR2 SDRAM. The DVD-Rs i'm trying to use are Sony branded.

I recently received an iMac as a "gift"... turns out it has some problems. I am unable to reinstall the default OS (Mountain Lion) because I have yet to be able to partition the HDD correctly. So, yesterday I went to burn an audio cd in itunes. When I clicked burn I recieve a message that stated "Disc Burner or Software not found." I then went to About this mac in the toolbar and click "Disc Burning" and it states that there is no burning device found. Help would be appreciated, here are my specs

The other prob is that there is a disc stuck in the drive. I have tried all the various methods to eject the disc to no avail including rebooting and holding Cmd-Opt-O-F then typing eject cd but alas I "have no cd drive"

I am trying to burn a 4.2 GB project in iDVD. My project is saved onto an external hard drive, and when I start it burning, I get an error message that says "Not enough free disk space for encoding the remaining assets." It says I only have 825 MB available on my hard drive and 3.362 are needed for encoding, but I actually have 786 GB free! Any idea what could be causing this?

Since the upgrade to OS Lion, when I return to the computer I often am greeted with a message that I could not be logged out because Firefox failed to quit. Is sleep a logout? I don't intend to logout...though I do require a password to regain access after the computer enters the sleep state. This is a consistent issue with Lion, which never occurred with the earlier OS.

Im using a 17" unibody macbookpro 2.66 early 09 to make a copy of my Leopard Disc to put in an offsite storage location.
Im able to rip movies and burn movies (DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-DL), iMovie videos, iTunes cds, rip audio discs, etc.
The media is Dual-Layer DVD-R in disk utility
I burn it at the slowest possible speed (on both systems) at 2.4x
After it writes the data to the disc and finishes, i get this lovely image:
I tried doing a test install of it from the burned dvd and it installed fine.... = what the huh!?
its done this twice.
using the same media on a 15" 2.2ghz uMBP late 2008 gives me a completed successfully notification every-time.

Ive got the new iMac 2011 range, 21.5" and im purely installing windows 7 onto it for games. Im planning on playing guildwars2 when it comes out. Ive installed windows 7 perfectly fine already, it all works. However, i realised that you needed to install the drivers onto it in order for wifi, graphics etc to work. So i do so and it says right at the end of the burning process when it has to "verify" the CD and it says it fails. I tried to install the drivers anyway, most of the stuff work except a handful of really important things such as the ATI graphics, video card etc.
