Intel Mac :: Permanently Remove Cookies - Remove Them And Then They Reappear The Next Time When Open Safari?
Mar 31, 2012I just removed over 1000 cookies. They were bogging the system down to the point of having some pages freeze. I then closed Safari. I launched Safari again a few minutes later and all the cookies were back, even though the only site I went to was the Apple open page.

Sep 5, 2014I used to be able to use various shopping websites (Land's End, Nordstrom, etc.) without a problem. Recently I tightened the privacy and security settings on my computer and now these sites no longer work. I can access them, but when I go to choose a size or color, or put an item in my shopping cart, it doesn't work. Is this problem related to cookies, to plug-ins, to the firewall, to other browser settings? I changed a few different settings, so I'm not sure which change might be causing these and similar shopping websites not to work properly.Â
I'm using an iMac (OSX 10.8.5) running Safari 6.1.6.Â

May 9, 2012More than 100 cookies instantly reappear. I tried emptying cache. I tried deleting individual cookies. I changed the setting to always block instead of just third party. I changed plugin settings and auto fill settings. I don't know what else to try. Still, the cookies persist. Â

Apr 12, 2012Yesterday, Safari began crashing every 45 minutes. I get a message that says Safari quit unexpectedly because of a plug-in called .MasterofDefense.tmp. I used finder to search my computer, and I cannot find this file.  PlugIn Path: /Users/<myname>/Library/Application Support/.MasterofDefense.tmpPlugIn Identifier: .MasterofDefense.tmpPlugIn Version:   ??? (???) The file is NOT in that location mentioned in the crash log. According to web searches, MasterofDefense is some game, but I have never installed any games on my machine.Â

Jun 12, 2010I was wondering if there was a way to use the iPhone's audio jack as an external jack for the macbook pro via USB or so, as i own the 13 inch model, that only offers one jack.
I want to use garage band just trying out a bit and i'd need an extra jack for the headphones, otherwise the microphone will record what's played over the internal speakers.
EDIT: I forgot to say that I already tried things like AirPhones, meaning wireless stream to iphone. But there's unfortunately few moments of latency, so i hardly can use it for recording.

Dec 3, 2014I recently bought a1tb USB HDD . When I connect this to my late 2012, 27"Â 2.9Ghz Mac my Time Machine 2tb USB HDD disappears.
When I remove the 1tb USB HDD the Time Machine repairs. I have checked Finder and Disk Utility and it does not show there either.
How i can stop this from happening?

Sep 8, 2014For some reason safari isn't recognising flash player or silverlight plug-ins despite uninstalling an reinstalling (seemingly successfully) a couple of times. I was prompted a couple of weeks ago to update flash player, and having done this I am unable to use it at all. In addition my netflix account prompted me to download silverlight (must have been previously present) and since will not play any netflix films at all. Im running an iMac intel on 10.9.4.
