If you have a black colored desktop and a mighty mouse... does it work? A few years ago, I had to give up MS mice due to their inability to track on black surfaces. Logitech do just fine... what about the MM?

Just got the Logitech Performance Mouse MX. Awesome mouse, if anyone is in the market for one. Fits my hand perfectly.
As many of you probably know, Logitech's Control Center is horrendous. Heck, it doesn't even run in 10.6.
So, what do yall use to program your mouse buttons? USB Overdrive is no longer being updated and I have heard it's pretty buggy, and for whatever reason, I couldn't figure out Speedmouse. I may try reinstalling it one more time but, I was wondering if you all knew of any alternatives.
Odd question but would magnets affect the performance of an apple mouse.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt has been a week since I started to research a new gaming mouse for my MBP. After going through more reviews than I can remember, I boiled it up to the following 2: Razer Orochi and Logitech Performance Mouse MX.
Orochi keeps my precious USB ports free (Bluetooth) has a coolest design and better DPI, although the "sleep in 2sec + jerking" issue seems to be really annoying when gaming. The Performance Mouse MX has zero lag/jerking issues, great ergonomics and works on glass! The downside is the USB port sacrifice required by the 2.4GHZ receptor.
Before throwing the coin on this, I would like to know if anyone has MBP hands-on experience with these fellows.
If I was to hook my MacBook Pro 13inch 4GB RAM, 250 HD to a monitor and use the Magic Mouse and Apple wireless keyboard would it slow the performance of my laptop?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe story behind it - I used it a bit at home, connected to the AC adapter, then closed it and put it in a laptop bag (quite tight on both sides - like a sleeve [you have to slide the computer out - it doesn't open]).
Then it was in the bag for 10-15minutes, I took it out, opened it up and this came up! (while it was like this, I could see the black mouse pointer and move it about just fine)
I did a hard restart, and then everything was fine.

Once I open the wallpaper chooser and choose the galaxy or any other default wallpapers, it sets the background to that, but the second I reboot the machine, I lose that background. When I pull the cable out of the usb port on the imac, the computer screen comes on and then I reinsert the cable back into the usb port in the computer to use the wired mouse (wired mouse works fine after I reinsert the cable back into the usb port).Could this problem be associated with the wired mouse or with the usb ports on the imac?

However after a day of use I have all this black residue junk on my desk that I have to get out the spray cleaner and clean it up, which requires a lot of scrubbing. Has anyone else seen this? It seems like the black rubber pads are rubbing off on my desk....if anyone has had this problem what did you do to fix it? New Magic Mouse?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an early 2008, 24-inch iMac. This problem started after I installed an OS X Mavericks update (and has continued). Basically, after the screen is asleep for a while, if you come back and move the mouse / tap the keyboard, the desktop never reappears. The screen stays black but the mouse cursor shows up and you can drag it around. I've seen some similar issues that said they could get the app switcher, but that never happens for me. Just mouse cursor and black screen, no matter how long you try to wait it out or tap buttons. The only solution is a cold restart, although I think in the past I was able to fix by turning off energy saver settings for putting the display to sleep. It doesn't happen every time, I'd say it happens over 50% of the time. The problem actually kicked in with one particular App Store update of Mavericks. I believe it was 10.9.3 if I recall correctly.

I'm currently using a Razer ExactMat (dual sided aluminum with plastic coating mouse surface) and a Razer Diamondback laser mouse. I recently picked up a Apple Magic Mouse since I wanted multi-touch capabilities. My problem is the Magic Mouse works like crap with both sides of my current mouse surface (the accuracy and speed coated sides). It feels like there is too much friction and the mouse is 'scraping' instead of gliding on the surface. The Razer mouse has 3 plastic pieces that the mouse glides on while the Magic Mouse has two long plastic bars. Does anyone else encounter this problem and could recommend a better mouse surface? I'd rather not use my desk if I don't have to.

I have a 27 inch desktop. Upon turning the computer on within seconds the fan comes on. Then it goes to a high fan. Then it goes to a black screen. Then it shuts off. Then if you click the mouse it will come back on. This cycle repeats itself every 5 seconds. Only one time in the past month did it turn on normally and run for me.

I am having a problem with widget appearing on desktop when mouse hovers on bottom of dock. Down left it has a cross / manage widgets. There are no ticked widgets at all when I go into manage widgets.
