Hardware ::ipod Connect To An PC Now It Gets Corrupt And Cannot Connect To Any Other System?
Apr 7, 2009
What i did was open the ipod through mycomputer (windows XP) and cut the folder that contains all my music and pasted it into mydocuments so i had full amount of memory on my ipod to use it as a memory device. I gave it to my friend to put some videos into my ipod again through mycomputer. He didnt allow the ipod to sync on his itunes. Now i have it back i plugged it into my pc and my itunes couldnt pick it up and neither can mycomputer. I left it plugged in and restarted my pc when it booted up i opened itunes and it was sort of froze, after leaving it for a minute or two my ipod cam e up on itunes but it said it was corrupt. I ran the restore over night as it was taking along time and when i cam back this morning it was still doing it! Whats wrong with my ipod?! is there any other way to system reset it? do you think my mate should have synced it with his pc?
Today my ipod started to act up. I cant seem to connect it to my computer anymore. When I plug it into my FireWire port, all it does is charge the battery. I am thinking there might be a problem with the FireWire cable itself (i hope, cause thats a cheap and easy fix). I know it isn't a problem with the FireWire port on my computer, because my CD Burner works fine.
My MacBook won't connect to my university's WEP network. It can connect to the guest network but that doesn't ever really work, even when I can connect to the secure network. Anyway, my iPod touch has no problem connecting. I've rebooted multiple times and nothing.
I have an old Blackberry which is horrible to type on and has an incredible battery life of 5 hours. So, I was wondering if there was some sort of way that I could connect the Blackberry to my Mac/iPod and text using Apple hardware, but transmit through the Blackberry. I don't have enough money to pay for the $100/month iPhone fee, so don't ask. If there is any App/widget/program for Mac or iPod which will allow me to do this, please recommend it to me. And it doesn't matter whether it is paid or free.
My 160GB Video Ipod is saying that it is corrupt and osx doesn't seem to be ablt to read it. It is still functioning fine as an ipod though and has been for a few weeks since it happened.
I have a lot of data files stored on it that I don't have backed up, is it possible to retrieve these in anyway? Or do I have to restore it and lose everything?
I have a blackbook (intel core 2 duo) and I can connect to my landlord's wireless network (they have a netgear wgt624) but I can't actually use the web (Safari or Firefox will just "think"). I've tested the diagnostics and it confirms that my mac can connect to the network, but it cannot connect to the internet. The network uses WPA personal and it has a 19-aphanumeric passphrase.
*Also - would it be possible for me to extend the wireless range (and make it possible to browse the web) if I used my own 2wire wireless modem to connect to the netgear wgt624?
Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL I just started to receive this message, when I try to go to this one website. What caused this? and how can I fix this problem? I an geet to website using other browsers.
I don't know what's wrong with it.My ipod touch connects just fine and yet when i try to connect my new macbook it won't allow me to connect.I've never owned a macbook - so i have no idea how to fix this.
I currently have the network setup assistant running and configuring - but it's been about an hour and it hasn't done anything. Is there something else i need to do?
I have two old hard drives from windows xp machines (one laptop, one desktop). the desktop is so slow it is unusable and the laptop is dead (wont turn on). I want to move data from both drives to my new macbook. Is there any way to do this. I've heard of, and may not understand, how to slave a hard drive, but I have not learned if this is possible between different operating systems.
I recently having this problem with slow boot with mac os lion. I'm using macbook unibody 5,1 , with 2GB ram. Below is the system log. what is actually hogging my system to start slow? It load slow with apple gray screen, and loading circle..Â
As im googling around, many say it is the network & huawei usb modem that make it slow. Im using huawei USB modem, and automatic connect for my system.
I just purchased a new macbook pro that is running OS 10.7.4. When trying to set up my iCloud acount through system preferences i got an error message saying "You can not login at this time, please try again later." Later, it still didn't work. I can access the icloud website where info from my iphone is so i know neither the password nor the username is the issue. I even changed my password to apple's new standards and that did not work. Â
It is on my home network which I have been using for months. I have made no changes to my router or network setting. Other devices will still connect to the wifi with no problem and I connect through the ethernet connection with no problem. I have disabled the wifi and restarted my computer with no luck.
How can I connect my network path when i am switch on(booting) my machine. Actually my requirement is I want to execute a applescript when my machine is logged in. I given that script in Login items in Account Preferences. Its working fine. In my script I save a file in network path. So before running that script I need to open the network path.
I have succeeded at this in the past but no luck now. My MyBook is attached to my Mac Mini (10.4.11) but it doesn't announce itself on the desktop.FYI, MyBook blue circle is lighted but not swirling.
I have an original Mac Mini (bought the day it came out). Is there a way that I can connect it to two HD tv's and show the same thing on both TV's without buying an expensive DVI or HDMI amp?
I just orderd the new iMac and wondering if i could hook it up with my S/PDIF speakers.I have a Logitech Z-5500 (5.1 speakers) ..which is currently connected to my PC via S/PDIF cable.I know the imac has s/pdif option.. but as in a different port? ..suppose to connect the s/pdif cable to the ' iMac headphone slot '?! that supports s/pdif
I'd like to use the "Bose Acoustimass 10 speaker system" [URL] for iTunes music out of my iMac and somehow be able to switch the audio over to my T.V. whenever to play Xbox and watch movies through it as well.
i have a G4 with an m-audio revolution 7.1 sound card. the speakers are cambridge soundworks 510D and the receiver is an old denon avr-1403. i have an spdif cable but the problem is my speakers are "computer" speakers so i cant just go from the digital out on my sound card to the digital in on the receiver and plug my speakers/sub into the receiver. and here's a pic of the back of the sub on the 510D showing the inputs
I've been using flock which gets the job done but safari has me scratching my head. I downloaded the latest copy. Several times just to make sure. It won't open. It gets as far as putting the icon in the dock then it crashes with the message: "The application Safari quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. It'd be nice to use safari again and my software update says this when I run it. "A networking error has occurred: Error NSURLError Domain -1100 (-1100). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again. Software Update can't check for updates because of a network problem."
The first time I connected to my HDTV using a mini displayport-dvi and a dvi-hdmi adapter, it worked flawlessly. Stupidly, I set my TV to a resolution it couldn't support. Now the screen only turns blue until System Preferences eventually crashes and the TV gets no signal.
I've tried clearing my PRAM, deleting the profile in the colorsync folder, and even deleting /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist out of desperation. I've confirmed that it's not a problem with the adapters by successfully getting another HDTV to work. Where could could OS X be storing the display's settings?
