Some Googling and some searches here have led me to a bunch of discontinued products from Adesso, and a bunch of crappy keyboards that state they're only compatible with Windows/Vista. I need to find something that has a built-in touchpad that's Mac compatible like the DiNovo edge touchpad is, but with a plug-in USB option rather than Bluetooth.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't find one anywhere! the closet thing to what I was looking for was the dinovo edge by logitech but only the media control buttons were illuminated. (I believe). Its very important that I find a wireless illuminated keyboard.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been a Mac convert for the last 18 months and am the proud owner of a Macbook 4.1 Dual Core, 2.4GHz using MAC OSX v 10.5.8. For no apparent reason, neither the Keyboard or the Touchpad respond and I end up using a Mighty Mouse and Wireless Keyboard which work perfectly ok. To make matters worse, this issue comes and go's without warning. I can go two months with everything ok, then suddenly it all stops working and then suddenly it's all ok again. It is almost as if there is a way of disabling these functions which I have inadvertently done. I have re-loaded the operating system which has not achieved anything.

She is putting MBA into sleep mode on battery, and the next time when MBA wakes up from sleep mode, the trackpad and keyboard does not work at all. She restarted the MBA and nothing has changed. Luckily the logitech bluetooth mouse and the usb port is still working. We are running OSX leopard dual boot with Vista ultimate 32 bits using bootcamp. But because the "option" key is not working, we don't know how to boot into windows. It is only 8 month old and we have bought the three year apple care. However, she is in China now, I am not sure if the warranty service there is as good.
What do your guys think the problem might be and what should I do about it? She don't have a superdrive with her and if we want to re-install OS, we don't want to lose the windows partition.
Well I finally got an adapter to attach my Macbook to my TV. Although now I need a keyboard so I don't have to get up to type (In my defense It is really a hassle to walk across the room to hit pause). I wanted to get one with a built in mouse so it isn't a hassle.
I was looking at many but only found some that worked with Windows. So I am asking if anyone here has one and do you recommend it? And I want to stay away from the joysticks and lean towards a touchpad or trackball.
I'm installing OS X on my Apple TV (because I got sick of the regular ATV OS being stupid about network mounts), so I thought I'd take advantage of having a real OS on there and toss a keyboard in the living room in case we want to browse the web or something. I don't want a mouse laying around, just a slim wireless (RF) keyboard with a built-in touchpad. Anyone have any recommendations?

This machine after rebate is $1499 from Mac Connection, which makes it only $200 more than the high end 13. Yes, you only gain the screen on this configuration, but $1499 is an attractive price for a 15. However is this model seen as a bit of an odd model, in that it only has integrated graphics? The user would never play games, so it seems paying for the second graphics card would be unnecessary ? Whereas the benefit of the extra screen real estate, would be nice for them surely.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I have iTunes in focus and enter Time Machine, it opens a Finder window behind iTunes, brings it into focus, then goes into Time Machine for Finder. Same with iPhoto. The only thing that seems to work properly is Mail (I can have it in focus, enter Time Machine, and use the Mail interface to restore e-mail).

As the author notes, it also validates AMD's approach with ATI.The article says to expect a 2x improvement over current Intel graphics for the early 2011 chips, and another 2x for the following chips.

My Mail and Address Book do not appear to be talking very well. Out of the box, the mail application does not appear to let me select recipients from the Address Book when composing a message. I added the "Address Book" button to the toolbar for composing a message. I can click this and bring up the address book, but there is still seemingly no way to select recipients from the Address Book.
I read somewhere that the "auto complete" function is supposed to reach out to Address Book when entering recipients' names in the "To" line. This is not working. I found some suggestions to go and delete a file in the Library that governs this function. I did that, but it has not worked.
What am I missing? Why is it so difficult to select people from your address book and send them an email from the Mail application? Is something broken here or is this a reality for this Mac? My wife is ready to kill me for throwing out her beloved PC.
I have a mid 2010 MacBook, and I recently upgraded my RAM to 8 GB. Given I have this awesome amount of RAM, I am curious if I can allocate some of this to my Nvidia 320M from 256 MB to 1 GB?

I may have sold a PC user on buying a mac and she's interested in the MBP. I noticed that some models of the MPB have a "NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB" while others have the "NVIDIA GeForce 9400M." Are either of these integrated graphics? And what is the advantage of the models with "NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB?" That sounds to me like it has two video boards. Why would Apple do this? And is there a big difference in video processing power between the models with one video board and two?

How do I know whether or not I have the apple firmware updates from this site [URL]. Is there any way of checking or have they just be integrated with the snow leopard install. Also is it still ok the drive makes a noise when you either turn the macbook on and / or when the macbook comes out of sleep. When i try and login via webmail to my account it will not login. When i look in the logs it shows that its trying to authenticate to the local server and not the AD server for the user. how i can fix this so that it uses my AD credentials and such for email also?

See the new Macbook Pro that I recently got has two graphics cards. One, the integrated, standard issue Intel HD4000 and the other one, a Nvidea GT650M. Personally, I was thrilled to learn this. However, my Macbook Pro seems to switch in between these two and I really don't want it to do that. I would rather just make the GT 650M the main graphics card and avoid using the integrated graphics.

I'm already planning on getting a Moshi palmrest to keep the top of the bottom case from getting all oily and shiny.
I'm also thinking of getting a Radtech Screensaverz to keep the keyboard from imprinting onto the screen and to wipe down the screen and case.
I would like something to keep my keyboard clean as well.

I noticed on the iSkin site that they say the pre-printed covers (which is what I think I'd like) do not fit the MacBook revision that came out in November, though.
I own an eMac (my first one) and overall, I'm extremely pleased with the machine. However, the fancy-appearing keyboard leaves much to be desired, and I'm looking for a new one. The Matias tactile pro keyboard looks promising, as does the Kensington, but I would be interested in everyone's opinion as to which keyboard has the best "feel." I'm not interested in bells and whistles, just basic utility and keyboard keys striking quality for long sessions on my word processor.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've seen a few threads regarding changing apple keyboards to the 'dvorak' stup. I looked into it a little bit, and was thinking about trying it out just for fun. I type about 70-80 words per minute with the qwerty setup.
What are the main advantages of dvorak, and how long does it take most people to learn? Would it be worth me mastering, even though I am pretty fast on a regular keyboard?
I use my laptop on a stand and when typing (only small tasks, i.e. a bit of facebook) I find it a normal to reach up and uncomfortably hit the keys. Is there software that would allow me to type say, with my mouse by hitting on screen letters/numbers. I googled for this but couldn't find anything. Does such software exist?

I am getting a new IMac with a new aluminum keyboard and it looks perfect. When i start using it I realize that my shortcut key does not work anymore. My shortcut key consists of F1 - F12 is now assigned to the Mac OS function, I don't find a way to them off.
