I recorded the show using Garage Band by plugging in an external sound card and getting the music that was send to the speakers in the room. Now I'm trying to edit the show but when I put my recorded music under the filmed video the doesn't seem to match... I'ts just like the audio is a little faster, which makes it unable to get the playing in sinc...

When I export my sequence into a Quicktime movie the quality is much worse than it appears in the editor. More specifically, it looks washed out.

I have some live footage of musical performance. I have footage from two cameras and the sound off the desk that I need to sync up. I had hoped I could sync the sound to both cameras, then put in which shots I chose at any given point, but I don't know if the system will do that.

(Both dialog and music tracks) Is there a way to copy the library to a new drive and not have problems? Should I "copy events to to a new library"?Â
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a wav file that I've imported, which sounds completely fine on regular playback but becomes very poor quality when imported into the timeline. I know on FCP7 you had to convert to an AIFF but I've not had this issue before on X.Â

I have Final Cut Express 4 running on an iMac with Leopard 10.3.5. The problem I have is I cannot hear a music track & the sound track on the film clip at the same time when I run the clip. I only hear the clip sound track until it finishes then the music track plays. If I drag the scrubber bar along the time line I can hear both the music & the Clip sound track together. This only happens when I logon to the Mac as an Administrator. (I have never managed to hear both sound tracks together whilst logged on as Administrator.)
In desperation I created a user account on my iMac. If I logon as a user Final Cut Express 4 works ok ? I hear both sound tracks together when I play the clip. Any ideas how I can make the Administrator account work as the User account does? As the iMac is only used by myself I don?t need any user accounts.
Everywhere I look I find comples answers about the best way to use the Match service, etc.I am starting simple.if possible I do NOT want to get ICloud. I just want my music world to work about as well as it has until now:
1) I have my CDs on my IMac.
2) I sync what I need to my IPad using a cable. (I hear you an do it wirelessly, but I have not seen how to do that.)
We are told we have to hurry as MM will end and then we will not be able to carry over stuff to the Cloud.
1) Will Itunes sync still work as it does if I do not choose to go over to the cloud?
2) Will I still be able to move some or all pictures over to the IPad the same way I do now?
If so, then I don't think I need the Cloud or Match (I am in Japan and not sure we even have the Match program).I do not need my mobile me address.I do not need to have documents duplicated across devices. I just want to go on as I have.I understand you can have stuff in the cloud so you can have access to it all the time. But I don't travel. I just want my muisc selection in the living room and upstairs in my room.Plus I have many GB of musc, so I think I would go righth over the 5GB limit right away.

Whenever I work from home on my Mac I always have a slight bit more difficulty in selecting the cells I want in Excel and I do attribute this in the slight differences between how the Mac mouse and PC mouse work.
I've used USB Overdrive for as long as I can remember but I only started thinking about what settings would give me the same mouse movement as a PC on my Mac. I am mainly interested in what Speed and Acceleration setting you have to best mimic a PC. I currently am using 400 dpi and 150% accel.
I have altered the metadata in most of my songs by either changing the genre or album art. Will itunes change this data back to the original if I sign up for the Match service?

i'm cloning my mac hd (mac book pro, snow leopard) and though i've made successful clones, the sum of the hard drives (mac hd and external hd) don't match. for instance, my mac hd reads at: 233.71 GB, however the cloned external hd reads at: 216.54 GB. can anyone explain this discrepancy? are there certain things that don't go into the clone that are on the mac hd?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this 1.42GHz G4 Mac Mini that my mother uses for very basic stuff but still gets bogged down by skype videoconferencing or by having more than a couple of tabs open on the browser. I was thinking of adding some RAM to its original 512MB (DDR 3200 on 1 module).
I checked prices on Ebuyer and 1GB of DDR3200 SODIMM will set me back �26 while a DDR4200 module of the same capacity will cost �13. I was wondering if it would be OK to mix the 2 memory types and get 1.5GB, or if I should replace the original RAM completely.

I have the older keyboard on my macbook which has the volume keys assigned to F3, F4, & F5 and so on with the other F-Keys of the older layout and just got a silicone keyboard skin which has the same layout of my iMac's BT keyboard (eg. volume on F10, F11, & F12 and you hit the function key to use the original assignments of these keys). I want to assign these keys to match what is printed in the skin and also so that I will always do the same thing on both my computers to just simplify my typing rather than having to type one way on my MacBook and another on my iMac. Can someone help me with the reassigning of all the F-Keys on my MacBook? BTW I'm running OS X 10.6.3 on my MacBook if that makes a difference.

I added two CDs to my iTunes library and they are not updating into iCloud (they don't show on my iPhone 4S). I checked the iTunes store and they do have the two CDs available to purchase so it's not that they can't match them.
I've tried deleting them and then re-importing them into iTunes and still nothing. They work fine on my computer but are not available to my iPhone 4S which is the whole point of iTunes Match for me.The only information I was able to find online is to go in iTunes under Store and select "update iTunes Match" which doesn't exist in my latest version of iTunes 10.6.1 (7).

I checked my Computer and network names under Settings> Sharing. (I have Web sharing enabled and and my computer's website is also called "00231224". I do not know why this is happening. I have had a number issues with my iTunes setup on my new Mac Mini so thought I would start again. I deleted my iTunes folders and then intended to set up again, downloading the 10,000 tracks that were previously on Match. When I log in to my account and update Match, there isn't any content. how I can retrieve it, or has deleting the folders on my local drive somehow wiped my Match account?
