This never used to be a problem before the latest Safari update:When I try to open a window of the other Gmail account that I am logged into (multiple sign in), it always freezes close to the end of loading it.All the more reasons to use Chrome.Always forced to use basic HTML mode but it has very limited functionality.

I'm new to this site . anyway, when I log out of gmail and want to sign in on a different gmail account, the area where one usually types the username is always filled with the original account and I cannot edit the box containing the username. there is a button that says "Sign in as different user". (this is all on safari by the way). When i click the "sign in as different user" it just refreshes the page and my original email is still in the username box. the same thing happens with youtube. my only solution to this problem is clearing all my cookies, but as soon as i log in again it happens again. what is my next move?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy issue was that my wife and I both have separate Gmail accounts, but when she would use the Mac Mail program on our MBP, when she would send emails, it showed her name, but came from my Gmail account, and when people would respond to her emails, they would come to my email address. The issue is that according to MacMail, you are using the same outgoing Gmail smtp server, so you need to differentiate the two.
Go to Mail > Preferences
In your accounts, click the drop down that has Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), and click "Edit SMTP Server List...". When that window comes up, you'll see two different entries for Gmail, with the same outbound SMTP. Click on them individually, and you'll see the different Gmail account credentials.
Change the description of each (I changed mine to my and my wife's names, to easily identify which SMTP went with which mail account) and ensure that your Gmail credentials are accurate. Click Ok. Now, under each of the Gmail accounts, change the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) drop down to match each of your Gmail accounts, and click the "Use only this server" box.

I am not sure how it happened but after upgrading the gmail account, the user accounts were changed from standard users to Mobile Me users. None of the users has ever had that type of account, and I am trying to figure out how to get it back to a standard user account. When the user attempts to log in, it asks for the user name, but also the Mobile Me user name (which they do not have). to make it worse, Mobile Me is no longer accpting new users, so I annot just add an account and log in using the new info.

I tried Google Chrome but it doesn't have a bookmarks manager which is just stupid. I hear that Firefox takes a while to start up.

Anyway, on my mac, when I want to reply to ads in craigslist, it automatically set up a connection to my gmail account which is fine. Heres the problem: i cant log off or get out. I can close it, but when i click on the stamp icon in on the mac desktop it pops up with all my emails right there--even after i "quit" mail. Then I shut down the comp and turned it back on and theres all my emails still--dont have to sign in or anything. I even tried deleting the password from the setup options. So how do I log off or out so that anyone just cant sit down and pull up my emails?

well heres my problem, i will be surfing the internet like a speed demon.. pages loading in an insanly short period of time (much fast than mozilla)
but every.. 1 in 10 i would say, pages just get stuck whilst loading (just infront of the http:// area) and i would need to go back a page and re click the link..
its not a major problem it just gets on my nerves sometimes whilst surfing.
During the past week or so, I've had difficulty accessing YouTube videos. At first, they would not load at all; now, in the past couple of days, they have been loading after a couple of minutes of leaving the page open. I have installed the lastest version of the flash play and emptied my cache on Safari.Â

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am running a MacPro 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 8 GB RAM and OS 10.6.6 that is connected to an AirPort Extreme connected to a Westell DSL modem. Lately I have been experiencing strange behavior that I can not solve. When I first start up, Safari and Mail generally launch and work properly. But after a while, from 10 minutes to an hour, I get strange behavior. In Safari, pages take a long time to load- with a spinning beach ball for several minutes. Or they don't load at all. In Mail, I can't get new mail- a get a message that I'm not connected to the internet. When I go to System Preferences and check the Network, it says I am connected.
Rebooting usually solves the problem, but I am forced to reboot once an hour or so. Also, other programs show strange behavior- either failing to launch or crashing. This happens frequently with Photoshop Elements 9 and occasionally with Pages. I am also running a PowerPC Dual 2.3 GHz using OS 10.5.8 off the AirPort Extreme that runs fine and experiences none of these problems. Both machines are connected by ethernet cables to the AirPort Extreme.
One of the first things I did after I installed Lion was to see if I was able to bring up my gmail, and it worked. Now, 24 hrs. later, I've done the iCloud thing, mac mail and yahoo mail work, but gmail doesn't. What happened?

I have several email domains all managed as aliases by gmail (e.g, me@aaa.com and me@bbb.com). Mac Mail appears to allow me only one signature per account. So when I set up Mac mail with multiple email addresses in the address field (me@aaa.com,me@bbb.com) it separates them into "smart" mailboxes nicely, but those mailboxes cannot be associated with a signature as far as I can tell. it is a very common requirement, since many people use google to host multiple domains.

The way I understand it, is that it is possible to set difference languages for different accounts. I set up an account for my girl and set her language, Slovenian to the top of the list, with English next. However, only the calendar showing dayname is in Slovenian, rest remains in English. To be clear, we have separate accounts and separate iTunes libraries within our respective accounts, each containing some movies.
I've read several threads that say "turn on sharing in iTunes" so I did that, but it isn't working. I can see the content in iTunes itself, but nothing is showing up in Front Row. Does anyone know A) if this is possible and B) how to do it?

I dont particularly get on with Apple Mail. I find it crashes fairly frequently and really struggles when I am out and about using the mobile dongle.
I currently have itunes on two accounts set to access a library at /Users/shared/iTunes/. The problem is if iTunes is running on one account and I try to launch it on the other, it gives an error saying it doesn't have write access. It needs to stay running on one for my appletv. Is there a way to start it and have all accounts have access to it as a single process? Run it as root?

I have an apple ID and iTunes account for personal use where I purchase books and music and I have an office apple ID and iTunes account to share calendars with colleagues using iCloud and purchase work related apps like upgrades to operating systems, etc.
I have an iPhone that is set up with my personal apple ID so that my music is on my phone and so that the photo streaming is attached to personal photos, etc. Is there a way to sync my personal contacts with my contacts that are registered with my professional apple ID? Ideally, I would like to have my iOS devices syncing my calendar and contacts with my work apple ID and my music and photos with my personal ID.
