The image goes from one side of the screen to the other, and I would like to use the ease controls to smooth the movement, but the program does not allow me to do it in the control + J window. I can do it with a video clip, but not with this single frame animation. Is there a way a can do that?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOpen a Terminal Window and type the following: defaults write -g com.apple.mouse.scaling 5.0. "5.0" being the number designating the speed. Change that number to whatever you like. I've got my Magic Mouse set to 150 or so. This does not change the acceleration, just the scaling. Altering the setting via the preferences pane overrides the Terminal command. Log out and back in to activate. For a more complete solution, get USB Overdrive.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust purchased myself a magic mouse, adjusted the slow tracking speed MagicPrefs, a really nice tool over all but it doesn't allow me to get rid of the varying tracking speed. I could probably get used to it in the end but it is very annoying and would prefer not to use it. Does anybody know of a tool which allows for constant tracking speed?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just opened my brand new 2009 24inch IMac! The Mouse pointer speed is very very slow. I adjusted the tracking speed to the fastest possible, but this is still under par. I typed my question in google and it directed me to download a program called "Mouse Zoom" which was downloaded onto my... "Desktop." I didn't click the icon to run it because I am afraid of a virus. Is "Mouse Zoom" safe to click on? Will it fix the problem, or is there an alternative to this issue? I cant imagine something so nice being crippled by something as simple as mouse speed.
View 24 Replies View RelatedMy Mac's cursor tracking speed keeps resetting itself whenever I reboot. I can set the preference again but as soon as I shut down or restart it's right back to being super-sensitive. At first I thought it was interference from my other (bluetooth) mouse. But I disconnected it and am still having the issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just recently upgraded to SL and have a few issues. I am still kinda new to OSX even though I've had an iMac for a a few years. I mainly was using Windows 7 on Bootcamp, but now want to really get to know OSX.
First, in Leopard there were icons on the desktop for my MAC hard drive and my Windows hard drive. But after installing SL they aren't on there. I liked the idea of having them on the desktop for quick access. Can someone let me know how to get them back on the desktop?
Second I have a Razer DeathAdder mouse I use. I have the latest OSX drivers installed. This problem I've had with Leopard and Snow Leopard is that even though I've set the tracking speed under System Preferences, after rebooting the tracking goes all the way back to down the the lowest setting. I've tried setting it in the DeathAdder's software and in the regular preferences in OSX but after reboot it always goes back down. It is annoying cause it tracks way to slow and I have to manually up it a few notches whenever I boot up.
I know there's been a problem with tracking speed, and MagicPrefs takes care of that, but is there a way to change the momentum (I don't know if that's the proper term) tracking, I'm not talking about scrolling.
The magic mouse somehow takes into account the velocity? Like if you move it the same distance on your desk, depending on how fast you did that action, the mouse arrow moves a farther distance. Does that make sense? I don't want that. I don't know if you can change that, but my old mouse worked the other way, where if you moved a certain distance on the desk, the mouse arrow would travel the same distance, no matter what speed you move your physical mouse mouse at.
Any one have any ideas or know what I'm talking about? Other than that, I like the magic mouse, otherwise I think I might just switch back.
I have Seagate external drive. In the past few days a message pops up "The disc was not ejected properly", in spite the icon is still on the desktop.
I restarted the finder and nothing showed up, empty desktop. I forced shot down, and I could not log in with my password, because the keyboard would not type. I shot down the computer holding the power button, and disconected the external drive. I could login, bot my outlook 2011 would not start and Adobe acrobat would crash. I rebuild the outlook, and restarted the computer. Went back to normal so far.
Question, what caused all this mess,
a) is external Seagate drive duying (Disk utility said that the drive is OK)?
b) Did I catch a virus?
Also every time I force shot down, I have to rebuilf identity for outlook 2011. Very disturbing. I never had these issues with Snow Leopard.

I installed XP onto Boot Camp, so I can run some Windows games on it. At first, it didn't seem like it was that bad but after loading Sims 2, 2 expansion packs and 1 stuff pack it was a little... different. Windows still starts up pretty quick and everything, but in OS X... the performance has been decreasing slowly. Doesn't the things only affect the things in the Windows partition instead of OS X? Safari's performance wasn't as smooth as it used to be.
View 14 Replies View RelatedCould anyone recommend a program for tracking daily sales? My company sells about 50 different items, and I'm looking for a program that can track the daily sales of each item and then generate reports and graphs that detail the daily, weekly and yearly sales for each of the items. We also have about 30-40 different marketing initiatives, and the program would ideally be able to track those as well and prepare ROI tables.
I currently have something setup in Excel using PivotTables but it's not very robust, and the Excel file can get easily corrupted. I was thinking FileMaker might be a good solution, but I'm not sure if I'm knowledgeable enough to create the charts and graphs that I need, so I'm sort of hoping for a solution that comes ready made. I'm open to both software and webapps solutions.
I've (very) recently become interested in buying shares on the stock markets. I would like some software (can be web based) for tracking trends, making predictions, possibly buying through the software. I'd prefer Mac Compatible software but if there is good windows software I'd like to hear about that too. What do the 'professionals' use? Is that either very expensive or bespoke?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am currently using automator to make folders named after the large numbers of images. I have everything set up and its working great but I am trying to make it more efficient.
The images follow a filename structure such as:
bmz12345_black_1.jpg
bmz83762_blue_3.jpg
bmz83762_blue_1.jpg
bmz09990_yellow_5.jpg
I strip the filename to just the first part of the code eg "bmz12345" and make the folder from that.
However, In order to do this I have to create a dummy text file or folder somewhere named after the fulle code (bmz12345_black_1) and then strip it down (bmz12345) set a varible of the new filename and then create the folder in the desired location with the right name.
After getting the name of a finder item, Is it possible to change the text that is passed to it without creating a file out of it first?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a real odd problem with safari 4. For some reason it is cutting my download speeds in about 1/2 from my server and many other places.
If I restart safari I will be able to download close to my 18 Mbps for a little bit but then it will just start to slow down and after about 30 minutes it will be down to about 6 - 8 Mbps.
I downloaded Catalyst Control Center and the latest XP Pro drivers for the 2600XT from ATI's site. In XP I installed the new drivers and ran CCC's built-in overclocking utility which tests the card and makes recommendations for boosting the speeds. The program recommended increasing the clock/memory from 700/800 to 760/860.
