I have Office 2008 Home and Student installed on my MBP. I recently upgraded to a hosted Exchange solution and they offer a download of Entourage 2008 that will allow Exchange Server interaction. When I loaded that version over top of my install, Entourage will not open. It gives me an error about the identity not being able to open the item.
Since upgrading to Leopard, I am unable to open .eml attachments in Entourage 04. They try to open in Mail. I didn't have this problem before upgrading.

I tried removing and re-installing Office, but each time I open Entourage I keep getting the same message: the Database Daemon has encountered an unknown error. View 6 Replies View RelatedI suddenly can't open office documents (ppt, word or excel docs) in entourage when people send them to me as attachments. i think there was a software update recently, and maybe it was this that caused it. But, it is driving me crazy. I can open the attachments inside mac mail fine. In Entourage, says they may not be a ppt, or word, etc. doc, or that they may be "in-use."

Then I just now started using it as my primary computer and I have noticed that iPhoto is no longer on it. That is wrong if I have to purchase these programs myself that should already be installed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have never used Entourage before but I am on an imac using OS X version 10.4.11 2008 Office edition.
When ever I go to open anything in my inbox in crashes on me then restarts.
After I did an update it stopped for a bit then just started crashing again.
Other people in my office are having similar issues, either they cant even open Entourage or its giving them a data error message.
I am convinced my user profile has some sort of error. There are programs I cannot open on that profile but can open on another tested one.

I have tried to rebuild the database by holding down the option key at launch and selecting both the typical and advanced rebuilds and neither one will go - the rebuild never starts. I am on a PowerBook G4, running MS Office 10.1.4. I am so frustrated - I get the mail dialogue box, but I can't see messages in my in box. I can sometimes see emails that have been filed, but it is not consistent.

When opening Entourage I received the error 'Could not open that feature. End of file reached' I tried Utility and rebuild. when attempting to rebuild a pane came up stating 'preparing to rebuild 0 of 0' and the pane has been stuck there for 8 hours. Every other office product works though.

I have macBookPro 15''. When i open my applications, they open separately.
for example, if i am using safari and decide to open itunes the two doesn't overlap. And i want them to overlap. its annoying when im on aim and skype and i have to click the icon every time when someone talks to me. But i can make the applications open overlapping "holding alt/option key and clicking the application at the same time". but this is really annoying.

When I went to open it today it would not open and I got the message "the file could not be opened because it is not in the right format". I don't remember saving it any differently, last time. The only thing I did was change the font to a larger size, a few minutes before I last saved it. Could it be that it then became such a large document that text edit can't open it or is there something else I might have accidently done.

I've uninstalled appdelete as I now use cleanapp. Anyway, I have uninstalled it but the contextual menu is still present. I have tried looking at the services and libraries but cannot locate the specific item needed to be deleted to remove the appdelete contextual menu item.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I tried opening my keynotes presentation file to make amendments to it and when I double clicked on it, the program loading bar only loaded up a third of the way and then hanged. I then tried to save it to a flash drive and use it on a different computer, but when I tried to copy it over to the flash drive it gave me this error: "the finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "garment styles" could not be read or written error code - 36".
I have tried changing the file extension to a zip, then unzipping it and then renaming it but that did not work.(It wouldn't let me unzip it). I have also looked at the index file name to see if that was the problem, but that is as it should be.
I have also tried uploading it to a website and emailing it and it will not let me.
Is there anyway I can recover this file as I have been working on it for over a month and it is due next week, or will I need to start again?
Alright so I was making this video that was really really really difficult to do and I got to like 3:00 of it today and I've been saving, then it just freezes and refuses to do anything. I then realise my external drive somehow turned off for a random reason, so I plugged it back in and it started working again, but then I reopened my project and I get this error

I click on ignore all and it's all in the trash, and what really pisses me off about this is that it took me weeks and weeks and weeks of time to do, there's no way I can redo this all over again. What can I do to get rid of the skipped message and make it all work again�
