Applications :: Unable To Use Safari/Firefox While Runing Flash Programs?
I have the New MacBook Pro 13inch with Snow Leopard. I have the latest Safari, Firefox, and Flash. Recently I have been noticing that while running flash programs on Safari my browser will freeze and then I have to force quit the application. Thinking this might just be a Safari problem, I downloaded Firefox but I am experiencing the same problems. I tried running Safari using 32-bit and Rosetta but still experiencing crashing.

MacBook Air :: Browser Won't Open Pages (neither Firefox Nor Safari)
I began to have this same problem on my old MacBook within the last year...but I now have a brand spanking new MacBook Air (as in 1 week old) and it's worse than ever. Â Extremely often - sometimes 2 out of 3 webpages, it seems - the browzer says it can't find the server or otherwise won't open a page (takes veeeery long to do so. Then eventually gives me a "can't find" screen when I try to click around.). There's nothing wrong w the internet - it works just fine on my husband's computer. Sometimes it helps to switch browzers but mostly not. Info: MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2012), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Safari :: Unable To Load Pages That Firefox & Chrome Do Easily?
I'm running Safari 5.02 on a 15" Macbook Pro running 10.6.6. ALL TOO OFTEN I will attempt to access a page [URL] and it will not load. All I get is an eternal spinning wheel. I have to launch Chrome or Firefox to achieve success and they load the page without any difficulty.  I've suspected flash content conflict but have installed all the latest updates, but still no success. Applications :: Safari Loading Pages Slower Than Firefox?
Has anyone else noticed that Safari is painfully slow the last few weeks? Mostly the problems are with gmail and facebook, but all sites are slower than Firefox. With both gmail and facebook, I can login fine, but when I click on something (a mail message, a person, a picture), it times out. I've tried resetting safari several times to no luck. Firefox works fine. I'm having the same issues on my mac mini as well as my MBP. Both have 4GB Ram.

Applications :: Safari / FireFox And Chrome Freezes On Some Pages
I used to have a name on this site but haven't used it in 4 or 5 years so I had to create a new one. Anyway, I started having a problem with Safari today. Every time I would go to ESPN or gmail it would freeze up, the spinning rainbow would come up and I would have to force quite the app. I thought it may just be a problem with Safari so I downloaded the latest FireFox and Chrome and to my surprise they began freezing up too doing the same thing. I've got a 13" MBP w/ the 2.53 GHz Core 2 duo and 4GB RAM. I ran a software update yesterday afternoon/evening when prompted to, but didn't check to see what it was. I do know it was one that didn't force me to do a restart.

Applications :: Way To Make Safari Load Pages More Efficiently Like Firefox
Firefox' site rendering is much more fluid than Safari's. Safari loads the BACKGROUND again and again with each click completely upsetting the eye. Firefox has the background steadily black as it is and loads the randomized image properly without any kind of irritation. Is there a way to make Safari load pages more efficiently like Firefox?Or is it just a rendering of all WebKit browsers that behaves like that?

MacBook :: Unable To Use Internet Applications Skype/Safari/Firefox?
I have a macbook 2.2GHz Core 2 Due with 4GB of ram... Skype is the app that keeps crashing the most, Safari and Firefox crash from time to time as well... and Mail.app crashes sometimes when Skype and Safari crash... I already perform a fresh installation of the OS and no luck. I also kept on doing "repair disk permissions" with Disk Utility but also no luck... The last time I performed a Tech Deluxe check and all test passed... I think the problem can be either disk issues or faulty memory... in the worst of the worst motherboard .

Mac Safari :: Safari/Firefox Displays Text As Gibberish At Sites That Use Flash
Text displays as gibberish at some sites using Flash, such as YouTube. This appears to be strictly a display issue, since the text reads just fine when I copy/paste it into TextEdit. I've attempted some trouble shooting to no avail: Updated Flash Player, Reset Safari, opened in 32-bit, removed duplicate fonts (using FontBook...didn't manually remove), emptied the cache. Applications :: Unable To Open Safari Window / Safari Not Working Fine
I put off doing the software update on Safari... I just HAD a feeling something would go wrong and I didn't have time to mess with it if it did. So today I ran and update. And it messed up. Now Safari will "open"... it looks like it is open and I have access to all the menus. But a Safari window will not open. I am surprised that I haven't seen others with this problem. I have tried deleting the cache and deleting the preferences file. Neither seem to have made ANY difference. I'm at a loss as to what to do. And I am feeling like I'm missing a body part. I need my Safari back!

OS X :: Safari / Firefox Beachball With Flash In SL
Like the title says since Snow Leopard when I go to websites with a flash video player built in it beachballs my internet browser endlessly until I force quit. It is very frustrating. I have reinstalled flash player many times. Youtube works fine, but Hulu is impossible to watch. This makes a good portion of websites I visit not even functional.

OS X Leopard :: Flash Crashing Both Firefox And Safari
I've been having problems with Flash crashing both Firefox and Safari for some time now. I've archived and installed, erased and installed, installed OnyX and "cleaned" per a now closed thread here on the same topic. my last resort is to replace the RAM. I'm sure someone else has had this problem and I'm really hoping that someone has figured out how to fix it (short of replacing hardware, of course). Here is the complete crash report from Home> Library

Software :: Firefox And Safari Not Loading Pages?
I went to log my little sister on webkinz and it just stopped loading. It's worked for months in the past in both Safari & Firefox. Now all of a sudden it's just stopped loading. It tells me the page isn't found. I have tried google and clicking on the links that way and it still comes up with the page can't be found. My adobe flash player is updated to 10. something I'm running on Firefox 3.0 & the latest Safari. All other pages load with out any issues. It's just webkinz that doesn't work. I've also cleared my catche, cookies all of that. The only thing I haven't done is uninstall & reinstall it all.

IWeb 09 :: Pages Have Different Lengths In Safari Versus Firefox
I have a website created with iWeb '09 that contains some rather long HTML tables that I inserted using HTML snippets. These tables display properly in Safari v 5.0.2 and Chrome (6.0.472.59), but get cut off at the bottom when I use Firefox 3.6.9. Alternatively, if I force the web page to be long enough to satisfy Firefox, then I have too much dead (i.e., empty) space with Safari and Chrome. OS X :: Open Specific Website In Safari When Firefox Is Default?
I have a website that I need to open with Safari as it won't display properly in Firefox 3.6.3. From the Address Bar in Safari, I dragged a link to my desktop, right-clicked and checked it to always open with Safari. The name of the link is something like "PITA.webloc" When it opens that first time, it dose open in Safari, but subsequently, always opens in FF. I also right-clicked to "Get Info" and indicated it to always open with Safari. While "Get Info" shows that correctly, it still always opens in FF.

Software :: Safari And Firefox Errors Loading Links Within Pages?
I am running MAC OSX 10.6.3 and are having the following issues About a Week ago I noticed I was having issues on certain web pages with opening links within the page. Example: A webpage im having a lot of errors on is Gunbroker.com If I click "add to my watch list" safari just sits there and does not open the page. Same for Firefox. Other links on the page work fine. I tried this site and others on my other macbook and it works just fine. Random links within webpages seem not to work. I have tried to reset safari, clear caches, verify permissions and fix errors on Disk Utility still no fix. I also reinstalled firefox just not safari because of my favorites. Any Ideas? If this has already been discussed please let me know I will try to find a thread. I did do a search but could not really find much pertaining to this issue.

Snow Leopard :: Safari / Firefox - Failed To Open Page
Since I upgraded to Snow Leopard there have been a radical increase in the amount of times Safari AND Firefox cannot find the server of a webpage, to the point where 3 out of 10 pages load first time. It is incredibly annoying especially when I am trying to access a secure page. Another problem would be that in some cases when a webpage does connect, none of the images or fonts load, making it difficult to navigate. And the iTunes Store has a similar problem where a network connection error is constantly coming up. Information: Sony Viao Windows Vista
