I got my open item computer at Best Buy and was using it as a back up computer. Then I just now started using it as my primary computer and I have noticed that iPhoto is no longer on it. That is wrong if I have to purchase these programs myself that should already be installed.

When I loaded that version over top of my install, Entourage will not open. It gives me an error about the identity not being able to open the item.

I have iPhoto 09 running on Snow Leopard and a Canon 50D DSLR. When I connect it to the computer using the USB cable, it does not show up under the devices item on the left side pane of iPhoto. I've tried changing USB cables as well as the USB slot to which the cable is plugged, but to no effect. The funny thing is if I select the option to automatically start iPhoto when a camera is connected, then iPhoto starts automatically when I connect the camera, but still the camera does not show up under devices. Occasionally, it does show up when I connect it, usually taking a long time to appear.

The App store is downloading at 105kb/s (that is Bytes per second, not Bits per second). If I download something from iTunes or dropbox I get about 800kb/s. Why is the App store so slow?

The Photo Library nees to be upgraded to work with this version of IPhoto.

I tried to download the update from the website but it ends up kicking me back to the App Store and then I'm at a dead end again since I didn't use my account to originally purchase iPhoto.Â

On my first boot I noticed that the Mac App Store popped up a few updates and one of the updates was iPhoto 9.2.3. When I attempted to install the update, I was prompted to first update my Mac OS as the update was not applicable to my (then) Mac OS version. Â
I promptly updated my Lion version to 10.7.3 through Software Updates and attempted the iPhoto update again - nada! Mac App Store now says: "This update is not available", "You Must have previously purchased this item ..." and then prompts me to 'buy' the item (iPhoto 11?). Â
I haven't clicked on the 'buy' button in the fear of being charged to my linked Apple ID account and I am wondering why I am supposed to buy iPhoto when my MBA came preinstalled with iLife 11.Â

I can't update from the appstore and I can't update from the program itself. When I use software update it will say all software is up to date.
I checked the versions of the software that I have installed and they are not the new, current versions so yes i do need to update
App store says I need to update Garage Band and Iphoto but I need to use the other account that was used to purchase the software.

I recently bought a 2nd hand Macbook Air and it already had Lion installed. It didn't come with the Lion USB so I can't do a reinstall if I wanted. Now when I sign in to the App Store and try to download iPhoto or Garageband, I can't. It says something about my profile not being allowed to download it as the download is attached to another account, presumably the previous owner.So how am I able to download iPhoto? I don't mind paying for it, but it still won't let me as the only option I get is "Download".Â
