I like to organize my collections of photos. I HATE how iPhoto reorganize the whole stuff on its own. And I think the file sizes of the photos are different. ANYWAY, What I want to know is:::Is there any other application that is similar to windows photo gallery in mac?
I am looking for web photo gallery software that will automate the creation of a web site. I searched the web, and could find anything that worked right. I tried the Photoshop option for this, but it does not make a nested site.I wanted to try the Dreamweaver option for this, but it is not available in CS6 now. I simply want to be able to drag a series of folders (full of images) into an empty home page, and have the software make an index.htm home page that contains links (using the folder names) to other new automatically created pages, which the software makes using the folder names, and which contain links to the images in those folders. Yes, I can build such a thing manually, but I want an automated way to do it, since I will have to do it again and again with different folder sets.Â

I have a new 27" desktop Mac with the latest software.
I'm trying to send a photo by email without any loss of image size or resolution.
I've tried three ways of doing this:-
- from within the IPHOTO page and clicking on email at bottom
- from within an email in MAIL and clicking on 'Attach' paperclip
- by dragging a photo from IPHOTOS into the mail message
No matter what I do the 2.0 MB photo is automatically reduced to 23 KB even though I click on 'Actual Size (Full Quality)'
There has to be something I'm doing wrong.
I have this problem, yesterday I tried to upload some photo's... Because this camera (a HP M440) is quiet windows-orientated, I used image capture to import my photo's and video's of it... First I uploaded the video's to the Finder and after that I tried to upload the photo's and import it to iPhoto automatically... Of course, I was quiet stupid as well, I shouldn't have used the automatic option to delete these 'imported' photo's... What I've already tried: 3 Of the possible solutions for recovering with iPhoto:
1. Used the Finder, iPhoto Library, show contents, and searched for them... Weren't there...
2. Use iPhoto Library Manager to recover the .xml-file, also no effect...
3. Used Option-Command with start-up and tried to recover them....................
Is there a way to embed a caption into an image file using Preview, or by using the Get Info box? Get Info can read captions already embedded, e.g. using Photoshop, but is there a way I can put in a caption without spending $$$ to buy Photoshop?Â

I've been playing with Photo Booth on my new Mac, and most of the effects work. However, when I try the background effects (included and custom) the back ground image is not showing in the background, but instead in parts of the picture I'm trying to capture. Is there a way to adjust those settings?

I've got a few vids that I shot while on my honeymoon in a gallery of pics in iPhoto and they seem to be taking FOREVER to upload to my mobileme galleries.
editing my iWeb page and the "mobileme gallery" widget isn't loading onto the page. It says that I can't display any albums or movies. I've read that it's because either I'm not connected to the internet (not true) or that I don't have any albums published to mobileme. This isn't true because I do have albums that are published. Does anyone have the same problem and know how to get it to work?

Am I the only one who was expecting a bit more selection, especially given the additional wait time after the launch of Safari 5? How does Apple expect Safari 5 to compete with Firefox when it has so few (approved) extensions? Since the launch of the extensions gallery, I haven't seen much change in the available offerings, even though there is still a wealth of non-approved extensions out there. So what gives? Is it a lack of developers? Is Apple being too stringent in its method of approving extensions?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI don't want just anyone to have immediate access to my gallery via my iWeb site. Ideally I'd like my entire Mobile Me gallery to be password protected. I had a look at password protecting individual albums but that's just a horrible implementation, each album just comes up as a grey thumbnail in the albums view even if you enter login details. I thought an alternative (although far less secure) would be to have the link to the mobile me gallery on a password protected iWeb page as part of my iWeb site but I can't find any options to let me password protect just one page.
Am I right in assuming that Web Gallery only supports password protecting of individual items whereas Apple have gone the opposite route with iWeb where you can only password protect your entire site? If that's the case then it seems like they're really trying to make things hard for us!
Every time I open a document in word, the elements gallery automatically opens. I don't use this feature. Anyone know how to turn it off? I tried finding a way in preferences but didn't see anything.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently running iMovie '09 on my Powerbook G4 and everything is running fine except the export to MobileMe gallery. When ever I create a movie and click the publish to MobileMe, it checks with MobileMe for a second then takes me to a sign-in or try free for 60 days even though I am signed-in in system preferences. Even when I logout and log back in the sys. prefs. it still doesn't recognize that I am logged in to MobileMe.
I'm thinking that when It "checks with MobileMe", it detects I am running on the "non supported" G4 processor and won't let me proceed to upload.
Before I buy it with a new lappy, I want to see what it looks like.

For example I downloaded wondershare dvd ripper and everytime I open it the disc image shows up on my desktop and I cant eject it without quitting the application. I don't really want to use iPhoto at all. I want to use PSE. How do I set my computer to open PSE when I insert my memory card or when I plug in my iPhone or for any other thing that uses photos? It is even more maddening as we have been paying customers for several years. I know we can redownload the pictures, but what the point? We uploaded the to share with loved ones. Â How can iCloud not have a gallery function? Why is there not a way to migrate photos in MobileMe Gallery to iCloud?

Ok, over the last week a problem has been occurring in my gallery where all my images won't load (or fully load). I have tested the page in Firefox and ie7 and they load fine. I checked in the activity window in safari and a few images get stuck when they're about 98% loaded. This only happens when I clear my cache or someone is visiting the page for the first time. The images that don't load are completely random (different ones every time). Is there something in my code that safari doesn't like? Below is the link to the gallery page.Â

Safari used to let me drag an image from a webpage to the finder and have the dragged file be saved as an actual image but now all that's saved is a webloc file. I want the image saved, not a reference to the image's URL - do I now have to always use "save as" to save it?Â
I can understand Safari creating a webloc file if I dragged the site icon from the location bar to the finder, but to make the default behavior for dragging things that are parts of a page (not the page itself) as webloc files seems like a HUGE step backwards for usability.Â
Does anyone know if there's, say, a key to hold when dragging to avoid saving a webloc file or a defaults command or something to make Safari revert back to sane draging behavior?

One software says I cannot upload an image because the image or the container folder does not have permission. Indeed there is one "unknown" in permissions, that I cannot get to a read write no matter how hard I try -- both on the folder, the desktop, and the file (this is all on my laptop)Â I've done a repair permission.

When a user copies an image from a browser into PowerPoint 2011 he gets text of a link back to the image, not the image itself. But if he copies from a browser into Word he gets the image, and can then copy the image from Word to PowerPoint. Same results with both Firefox and Safari. Behavior is new so I assume it relates to recent software updates but user does not recall accepting any.

I was wondering if there is any applescripts out there that are able to download a whole picture gallery from a web site. This means I would lead it to the first page of the gallery, and then I'd click go and it would go to the next page and download each photo.
