I've got a few vids that I shot while on my honeymoon in a gallery of pics in iPhoto and they seem to be taking FOREVER to upload to my mobileme galleries.

Jun 6, 2009Having a Time machine backup is all good and such - but it's all in one location, so if something like a fire were to strike at home.. Well, both copies would be gone. So I'm looking for a solution to backup my large iPhoto library - I've searched on this forum and on Google and didn't really come up with a solution.. Anyone have any ideas? I'm aware the inital backup will take forever, but it'll be much quicker afterwards..
Price isn't an issue - but rather, if I need to retrive my data, I don't want to be paying out of the nose..

Dec 15, 2009So I love the iPhoto "ken burns" slideshows, and I had created a cute one set to the "Linus and Lucy" theme song. However, when I exported it to a .mp4 and uploaded it to YouTube to share on my site, I got the "copyright" warning and the audio is disabled. So anyone know what the copyright limits are as far as slideshows are concerned? What's the point of allowing us to use it if we can't share it? I also noticed that the quality is degraded due to compression... would it be better just to make my own slideshow in iMovie and share that instead (quality-wise)? Or is there a better way to share the slideshow?

Jul 8, 2010My daughter has a separate user account on my iMac. If I upload photos from my camera to iPhoto, they are then available on my user account.
I haven't found an easy way to make the same photos, or selected photos, available to my daughter when she opens iPhoto on her user account.
I have only found cumbersome ways involving exporting individual photos, but there must be an easy way to make a group of 30 or so available to her.
MacBook Pro :: Making Making Cracking Sounds While Opening
Sep 27, 2009Since about the 3rd day after I got my macbook pro the computer has been making cracking sounds when I open it. When it first started it just simply made one clicking sound when the hinge is halfway open. Now however, When it is open it makes cracking sounds that don't stop ( open 15 cracking sounds per open). Is this a serious issue that I need to address with my local (and very mean) genius or is this issue not going to continue to get progressively worse. If this does continue to get worse will the hinge crack open? what is this worst that could happen?

May 10, 2012I am looking for web photo gallery software that will automate the creation of a web site. I searched the web, and could find anything that worked right. I tried the Photoshop option for this, but it does not make a nested site.I wanted to try the Dreamweaver option for this, but it is not available in CS6 now. I simply want to be able to drag a series of folders (full of images) into an empty home page, and have the software make an index.htm home page that contains links (using the folder names) to other new automatically created pages, which the software makes using the folder names, and which contain links to the images in those folders. Yes, I can build such a thing manually, but I want an automated way to do it, since I will have to do it again and again with different folder sets.Â

It is even more maddening as we have been paying customers for several years. I know we can redownload the pictures, but what the point? We uploaded the to share with loved ones. Safari :: Can't Get All Images In Gallery To Load
Jun 27, 2012Ok, over the last week a problem has been occurring in my gallery where all my images won't load (or fully load). I have tested the page in Firefox and ie7 and they load fine. I checked in the activity window in safari and a few images get stuck when they're about 98% loaded. This only happens when I clear my cache or someone is visiting the page for the first time. The images that don't load are completely random (different ones every time). Is there something in my code that safari doesn't like? Below is the link to the gallery page.Â

Jun 11, 2012I've been paying for my Mobile Me account and use My Gallery to store movies for business, but now I need to 'move' everything to my iCloud. I have several Apple devices: my Mac [OS 10.7.4], my iPhone and my iPad. All seem to have iCloud on them, but I can't access my movies in iCloud. However, I can still see them in My Gallery, which I presume will 'go away' soon. So I need a place to put them to be able to link customers to them. It takes forever to put one into my 'dropbox' app. I thought they would automatically transition to iCloud? But they don't seem to be doing that?

How To Save MobileMe Gallery Photos And Movies
Jun 12, 2012Each of my MobileMe Gallery albums have been synced to my Mac, I see all of them in my iPhoto v8.1.2 (Snow Leopard). I'm not clear if they will still be on my Mac when MobileMe expires on June 30 so I want to move the albums to Photos in my iPhoto. The instructions I found in Apple's Support area say once photos are downloaded I can drag & drop them to Photos in the left hand column to ensure they are in my main iPhoto library. I can't seem to make that happen. Tried clicking on one album and dragging it to Photos - didn't work. Tried selecting all photos in one album and dragging the group to Photos - didn't work. I'm sure this is basic stuff to most but I am still fairly new to Mac.  will the contacts & calendar in my iPhone & iPad continue to sync using iTunes after MobileMe expires? Presently not going to upgrade to iCloud or Lion.

May 6, 2009editing my iWeb page and the "mobileme gallery" widget isn't loading onto the page. It says that I can't display any albums or movies. I've read that it's because either I'm not connected to the internet (not true) or that I don't have any albums published to mobileme. This isn't true because I do have albums that are published. Aug 2, 2010The selection of Apple approved extensions is dismal at best. Am I the only one who was expecting a bit more selection, especially given the additional wait time after the launch of Safari 5? How does Apple expect Safari 5 to compete with Firefox when it has so few (approved) extensions? Since the launch of the extensions gallery, I haven't seen much change in the available offerings, even though there is still a wealth of non-approved extensions out there. So what gives? Is it a lack of developers? Is Apple being too stringent in its method of approving extensions?
