I have compiled 8 tracks in hope to put them on a CD. After a long wait the CD was supposebly done, but when I tried to play it in my CD player it did not work. could this be caused by iTunes asking me to calibrate the CD? or is it because 5 were in mp3 fromat and 3 were in mpeg-4?

I want to move just a certain few songs from my Mac Pro to my Power Book and I'd rather not waste CDs/DVDs in the process... but getting each file individually would be a huge waste of time. How can I make this process easier?

I have been looking forever and cant find a way to import a mixed cd into itunes and have it recognize the info for each individual track. View 8 Replies View RelatedEarly on after I got this G4, I messed with the settings in iTunes some and the first time I burned a disk and tried to play it in my car, it would not play. I burned about 10 different disks using 10 different settings (although I don't remember the particulars now). Never could get any of them to play. I have iTunes 9 and I wonder if anyone can tell me if it's possible to go back to default settings, or change the settings so disks will play on any standard car CD player? I just don't have the knowledge to do.
View 2 Replies View RelatedQuite often when burning CDs, The order that I have carefully set gets completely scrambled when playlist is burned. This is especially bad due when trying to burn books in my audiobook collection.
I have looked at a few Apple tech notes about this topic, but all seem to be of versions much older than that currently available.
Alphabetical orde is not the problem and one suggestion to use a Song command to set tracks in the play order, doesn't work since Song command.
Using itunes 10.6.1 and burning a playlist to 3 cd's in audio format the finished cd's have no song totles just track #'s. Thought I might have set preferences wrong, checked and seemed right but a second burn turned out the same. Last year I burned 12 cd;s in audio format to fill my auto cd cartridge and all had track names and artist. Is this just another feature or lack of in the newest version of I tunes? They are random songs so I can't even look up the album. The songs are to be used at a retirement party so they need a list of which song goes with a little skit.

I popped it into the iMac and did a Get Info only to discover that its creation and modification dates were yesterdays! I then tried it in Toast 11 under Disk Info and got no dates at all. just technical data. DVDs do display the creation date in Get Info but not CDs.

I have been burning CDs in Itunes on my iMac for a long time, but all of a sudden, the cds I burn won't play on my home stereo. They will play in my car. I've read about the 80 minute cds giving problems, but I have burned them before with no problem. Yes, I checked "Audio CD".

To burn my music collection onto a DVD I used Select All in the edit menu and dragged everything from the Music Folder into the Burn Folder. When I burned the songs onto a DVD the songs were all there but the artist names were missing.

When I reload the CD's to itunes, I'm prmpted that that itunes can't get track info. THis used to work perfectly, now fails every time. Interface errorr? Perhaps disks too old?

When I burn a playlist to a CD, the disc doesn't list track titles and artists. When I've searched the community I find posts that show how to change burning preferences, but these posts were from a couple of years ago.It appears that Lion doesn't give us the options for burning that Snow Leopard did.Are there settings that I can change to fix this problem, or is this another example of Apple becoming less user friendly.

The burned DVD plays in my iMac but will not play in a DVD player. I get a Cannot play this type of disk error message. I used a DVD-R disk (Memorex). I can provide more information if needed to figure this out, but is there a simple answer as to why this would happen? The DVD player says it plays DVD-R disks. The disk works in my computer. Any ideas from the experts?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried installing XP on my MBP using Bootcamp, but I guess the XP CD that I have is actually an upgrade CD and not the full system CD that I need for Bootcamp.
Now, I am definitely going to ask around to see if anyone I know has a XP CD, which shouldn't be a problem, but just on the off chance I can't find one(will ebay have em?) could I torrent XP and just burn it to a disc and then insert that when Bootcamp tells me to?
When I insert the DVDs I have burned from Toast 9 Titanium into both of my DVD players they display "no disk inserted." The movies play fine on my computer, though. Any tips? Can I change a setting on Toast 9 to make the DVDs able to play on my (somewhat older) DVD players?

I've tried some suggestions with no success and now everytime I sync up my ipod touch to itunes it completely erases all the songs off it and I can't get the songs to stay on the touch(I tried manually updating but the songs don't stick)

Then later on, i tried to download another app and was told my password was invalid...tried 3 more times and was still not working. So i figured it might be my phone and i tried my password on my computer and it was still invalid. I immediately checked my bank account and nothing was charged. So i did the whole "iForgot" thing and sent an email to myself to change the password, but i never received anything. So i did the second option which was to verify my birthday, but when i did, it said my information was invalid. I was hoping you guys could give me some advice on what i should do or if this has happened to anyone else.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI really like iTunes 10. Clean, uncluttered, easily usable. BUT I have an automator action set for 7:30am every day as an alarm to wake me. This action plays a playlist in iTunes called "morning alarm" and has worked for months beautifully. When I loaded the action in Automator I got an error to say that the "play iTunes playlist" action, the auto iPhone sync action and set iTune volume actions we no longer valid. Those actions appear not to exist any longer in iTunes 10. Has anyone else had similar problems? Did you get a work-around?

View 24 Replies View RelatedEver since I upgraded to Itunes 9.0.2 I cannot tag handbrake m4v video files with new artwork. Is anyone else having this same problem? If I try to drag artwork from safari to the artwork tab it doesn't do anything. If I drag the artwork to my desktop first, then into the artwork tab, it drops the artwork like normal but after I hit OK the the file's artwork reverts to the screen shot from the beginning of the file. If I then go back into the file info the artwork is gone. It's as if Itunes is rejecting the artwork. I have tried this with several different video files and several different pieces of artwork and no luck.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNobody else is talking about this problem so maybe it is not so widespread, but 3 of us cannot download any apps or access our accounts on iTunes right now (we have 3 separate computers with 3 separate accounts and separate devices). iTunes is giving the error "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection was lost. There was an error in the iTunes Store, please try your request again later" and we are completely unable to log in. When we try to download apps on our devices (iPhone 4.0, iPhone 3GS and iPad WiFi + 3G) it gives us a "waiting" status bar by the app and just never loads. Or is the iTunes store / App store actually down right now? Using OS X on iMac (late 2009) and the latest version of iTunes for Mac.

I've noticed that occasionally my IR sensor stops working, and no longer responds to changing the volume, skipping the track in iTunes, etc. It can be resolved by going into Security prefs, disabling and re-enabling the IR sensor. This is annoying, however, and I'm wondering if it's a known issue that might be fixed.
I noticed that when you disable and re-enable the IR sensor, the last few remote button pushes you made while it was broken come through in a burst.
I love AirPlay. I use it on my iPod Touch the moment I get home to play music to my speakers connected via AirPort Express. I use it on my iPad too when i'm watching a movie..
Even on my MBP when listening to music from iTunes. But Movies in iTunes don't work. The AirPlay icon in a movie playing in iTunes only shows "computer" and doesn't show any other options.
I installed 10.5.7 yesterday. Immediately after the installation was complete, my Apple bluetooth keyboard stopped working. Went into Bluetooth system settings, and it said that there was no bluetooth hardware found... (it's built into the machine!!)...

I have a problem using MAC snow leopard OSX Install DVD since my MAC mini does not contain DVD drive. And I assume external dvd drives do not get mounted properly in MAC unless it is a firewire drive which I do not have.
