I use my AOL screen name as my Apple ID to buy things from iTUnes. Today, it keeps saying I am putting in the wrong password, when it fact I am putting in the CORRECT password.
View 4 RepliesSo earlier today i was able to download apps via my iphone off of the app store by verifying my password and everything was completely fine. Then later on, i tried to download another app and was told my password was invalid...tried 3 more times and was still not working. So i figured it might be my phone and i tried my password on my computer and it was still invalid. I immediately checked my bank account and nothing was charged. So i did the whole "iForgot" thing and sent an email to myself to change the password, but i never received anything. So i did the second option which was to verify my birthday, but when i did, it said my information was invalid. I was hoping you guys could give me some advice on what i should do or if this has happened to anyone else.

(like a transparent screen lock app) I think you got the idea, can you recommend me a software that does this?

I am thinking about upgrading to a bigger drive but I do not have the password to the authorize. If I use disk image of the itunes folder, will that help me transfer the authorization to a new hard drive.

I'd try to do a reinstall from the Time Machine again to see if it still is a problematic, but I was an idiot and deleted it and backing up fresh. I've repaired permissions. I've gotten album artwork. My music folder reads like this. User/Music/iTunes. Inside are two folders. One "Album Artwork" the other "iTunes Media." Inside the "Album Artwork" folder is "Cache" and "Download."

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy dad just bought the $1999 model of the new MacBook Pro a few days ago. Previously he had a MacBook Pro with a 2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo processor in it. We used target disk mode to transfer all of the data over and everything went fine. The only problem now is in System Preferences when using the screen savers his favorite iTunes album artwork screen saver is not working saying there is no album artwork in iTunes which isn't true (I checked ). When in that preference it causes System Preferences to slow down to the point where I need to force quit it and it causes the application to crash.

I went into preferences and clicked "reset warnings" and all that, but it still remembers my password when making purchases. Anyone know how to disable this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedCan someone please help me figure out why it is that iTunes is now requiring that I enter my iTunes password seemingly every day for any new purchases I make, even though I've checked the checkbox to "remember password". I can't be sure but this behavior either started happening when I upgraded to Snow Leopard, or when I upgraded iTunes to version 9. I know this must have been addressed on these forums somewhere, but I wasn't able to come up with any thing meaningful when I did some searching for the answer.

After a long wait the CD was supposebly done, but when I tried to play it in my CD player it did not work. could this be caused by iTunes asking me to calibrate the CD? or is it because 5 were in mp3 fromat and 3 were in mpeg-4?

I've tried some suggestions with no success and now everytime I sync up my ipod touch to itunes it completely erases all the songs off it and I can't get the songs to stay on the touch(I tried manually updating but the songs don't stick)
View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay, I know that when iTunes LPs and iTunes Extras first came out, iTunes could not play them full screen.
I don't know when it happened, but I just noticed that I *CAN* play them full screen now. (Either by selecting "View" -> "Full Screen"; hitting Command-F, or clicking a new "Full screen" widget at the upper-right on the "title bar" for the LP/Extra within the content pane of iTunes.)
But, strangely, this only appears on one of my computers, even though both are running the same version of OS X (10.6.2,) and the same version of iTunes (9.0.2.)
Does anyone know the secret to enabling this? I have checked every single setting in iTunes, both menus and preferences, and they are all perfectly matched between the two computers.
I really like iTunes 10. Clean, uncluttered, easily usable. BUT I have an automator action set for 7:30am every day as an alarm to wake me. This action plays a playlist in iTunes called "morning alarm" and has worked for months beautifully. When I loaded the action in Automator I got an error to say that the "play iTunes playlist" action, the auto iPhone sync action and set iTune volume actions we no longer valid. Those actions appear not to exist any longer in iTunes 10. Has anyone else had similar problems? Did you get a work-around?
View 5 Replies View RelatedQuite bizarrely, in iTunes 10, shortcuts to skip next song (command - right arrow) or adjust volume (command - down arrow/up arrow) don't appear to work in shuffle (iTunes DJ). The shortcuts work fine in every other playlist other than iTunes DJ.

View 24 Replies View RelatedEver since I upgraded to Itunes 9.0.2 I cannot tag handbrake m4v video files with new artwork. Is anyone else having this same problem? If I try to drag artwork from safari to the artwork tab it doesn't do anything. If I drag the artwork to my desktop first, then into the artwork tab, it drops the artwork like normal but after I hit OK the the file's artwork reverts to the screen shot from the beginning of the file. If I then go back into the file info the artwork is gone. It's as if Itunes is rejecting the artwork. I have tried this with several different video files and several different pieces of artwork and no luck.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNobody else is talking about this problem so maybe it is not so widespread, but 3 of us cannot download any apps or access our accounts on iTunes right now (we have 3 separate computers with 3 separate accounts and separate devices). iTunes is giving the error "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection was lost. There was an error in the iTunes Store, please try your request again later" and we are completely unable to log in. When we try to download apps on our devices (iPhone 4.0, iPhone 3GS and iPad WiFi + 3G) it gives us a "waiting" status bar by the app and just never loads. Or is the iTunes store / App store actually down right now? Using OS X on iMac (late 2009) and the latest version of iTunes for Mac.

New to Mac computers. When trying to open computer after being in sleep mode, I clicked the mouse to open the password screen, & a blank blue/black screen appeared & the mouse timer( colored circle) appeared, as if to be waiting. I had to unplug the computer to reboot it. This has happened twice in 2 days.

I am trying to uninstall Virex 7.5. I have got the Terminal uninstall command which opens Terminal. So far, so good. However, Terminal is asking me for my admin password but it's not allowing me to enter it. The cursor is not blinking it's just a solid black oblong - just bl**dy sitting there! Absolutely no response to any key except the enter key - then terminal helpfully says, 'Sorry, try again' What's going on? I just wanna get rid of Virex!!!

Well I do not actually have a password set so usually I just hit enter with it blank but when I do that in Terminal it says sorry wrong password or something until I hit the 3rd try and it boots me.

Is there any way to do this when watching movies in iTunes or via Front Row? I watch a lot of TV shows on my MacBook when away and would prefer to have a full screen even if it cost me the top and bottom of the picture or some stretching.
I just bought a Mac and I'm loving it but I can't seem to make iTune fill up the screen. I've done the zoom thing and it just takes me between the mini-player and a screen that fills up about 1/2 my screen.
