I have been trying to find a BPM (beats per minute) counter for iTunes, because you can make smart playlists with BPM as a category. I have been trying to find one that does it automatically (no tapping) and if possible, automatically ads it to iTunes, but that's not my first priority.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk, a few months ago, I posted a problem concerning songs from my ipod that, when played in my car through the car's integrated cable, would suddenly stop playing, even though the song's title and counter were still showing on the dashboard screen. This happened with a 3 year old ipod. After taking the car into the dealer, they found no problem. Subsequently, when driving a loaner or rental, the same thing would happen when the ipod was hooked up with a Belkin cable. So, I bought a new ipod. Guess what? It still happened, AND in other cars. So then I bought a new car (not for this reason; it was just time!), and it still happened, BUT...now it's doing it when I have my iphone bluetoothed!! The songs playing are coming from my iphone, which is connected to the car through bluetooth. So, my thoughts are leaning toward something wrong with my songs, in itunes. This happens inconsistently, and not necessarily with the same songs.
I've already spoken to 2 different people at Apple, spending hours on the phone.
when I try loading it in bootcamp it loads then goes to a black screen but you can still hear the mouse click when going over menu items. I hear about people running HL2 and stuff on macbooks, anything I can do to get this working?

Is there nothing that automatically sets the screen to a certain brightness, turns bluetooth and wi-fi off etc., and then adjusts it back when plugged in to the charger?
At the time it seemed very practical to use a Time Capsule to share files between the members of the company (we are just 4) and this way use it as backup and server.
As we use it as the company file server to share file between member, we found out that it would be needed to make backups every now and then (preferably on monthly basis).
I bought another normal external hard drive, plugged it into the time capsule and made the backup.
I use iTunes 8.1.1.
When i drag a music album to iTunes library, iTunes will automatically duplicate the files, so I will have two files for each song from the album that i drag to the library. I have to delete each duplicate afterwards.
Every once in a while (I think it's when I play the song or something) iTunes will change the Ablum Artists of some songs to artists I know aren't right. For instance, it keeps placing Photograph by Weezer in my Nickelback folder, and even thought the song's Artist is still under Weezer, the album artists keeps automatically changing to Nickelback, and apparently thats what iTunes organizes folders by.
It also has keeps changing some song by From Autumn To Ashes to some band named Bagman.
Yes, I do have "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" checked because I want it to keep it organized, I just don't want it to change my file information.

I just bought the HD version of Chuck Season 2 since I have seen Season 1 and looked at the download part in the iTunes and it has 44 to download. I noticed that is it downloading the SD as well. Is that really how it does it? I've bough Scrubs Seasons 3 & 4 before but those where just SD.

David was just some random name I picked when I made my email and I don't want my username to be it. However, it seems as though I am constantly having to switch my name to Trinimini whenever I log in, even though my preferences says that my display name is Trinimini. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I've got a 500 cycle loop built into an Automator workflow and I'd like to be able to monitor in real time the number of times that loop has run. Is there an Automator Action which will incrementally display the number of times a loop has run?
Also, is there a loop limit in Automator...i.e., max number of times a loop can be set to run? Five hundred works OK but how about a thousand, or two thousand or more over several days?

I had an impulse to buy Avatar on iTunes because I fancied watching an action movie in HD on my Mac, but I'm in the iTunes store an it doesn't specify what resolution the movie actually is - only that it's 'widescreen'.
I've searched on Google and not found any results, so can anyone tell me what resolution iTunes movies normally are and how I can find out?
I have 2 x 1TB WD External Hard drives which hold all my audio/video content. One of these is full and this is the one that is located in the iTunes Music Folder Location. If I change this path to a path on the other drive which has space, is it going to mess up what I already have in my tunes library? I have keep iTunes organised and copy to iTunes music folder both unticked.

View 3 Replies View RelatedTo more easily deal with the increasing number of regular document files I have, I'm wondering if the standard 'Finder', or any other software that is available, can be set up to load the most frequently used, say top 50, files into a folder where it would automatically update. This would preferably be an icon in the dock, if not a main folder in Finder.
I know the system can order folders and files according to 'last modified', but that still leaves me to search all folders. One way to do it, I guess, would be to destroy all folders then it may order them as I want, but it seems a bit drastic. To find older files, I guess I would just have to rely on 'spotlight' or search.
You know how to can go to - insert - hit counter. Can you make this invisible for other people to see? if so, how?

my problem i that when I import CDs such as the main artist but featuring someone else, the album flow wil not be sequential, instead when i sync my iphone/ipod i end up getting artists <blank> featuring <blank>. Same goes for front row.

I have been using the album art player thing in the new ITunes and now the album art unknown is really starting to get to me. I have a lot of old music I have been collecting over the years and a lot of the data was either not there or for whatever reason is not there. I am looking for a program to do either an audio scan or something to find all my album art work and information that itunes displays. I have used the ITunes find album artwork but some songs done have the album listed. What do I do from here. I am not going through 4k songs to get them all manually.
