Jun 12, 2010After you register Logic 9, are you meant to receive an email saying it's registered etc (?) As I haven't got one yet.

Software :: Can't Send Email But Can Recieve It?
Dec 9, 2008just got my new 24 inch imac. and i cant get my email set up. i use road runner for my email. i can recieve email fine, but when i go to send it, the message goes to the outbox and never gets sent. i have double check all the setting in the smtp outgoing area and nothing seems to make it work.

Sep 26, 2009I'm helping my mother who has an old mac laptop. I'm not familiar with macs so please bear with me. Her email has stopped working. She's using OS 10.3.9. It's apple's email app. I notice that when trying to send it sometimes says that it timed out on port 25. She seems to receive items but can't send. She's sent things to me which haven't gotten through. She used to have a percentage bar and a sound when mail was sent which has stopped. She has full bars for her wireless connection and safari browses the internet fine. What should I be looking for?

Jan 9, 2011Is it likely? Aperture is a pro app and is on there, and it'd make sense if they also added Logic and Final Cut - it'd be like a professional version of iWork with the whole set.

Mar 16, 2008So, yesterday I went to burn an audio cd in itunes. When I clicked burn I recieve a message that stated "Disc Burner or Software not found." I then went to About this mac in the toolbar and click "Disc Burning" and it states that there is no burning device found. Help would be appreciated, here are my specs
Mac mini C2D 1.6Ghz
2Gb Ram
OSX 10.4.11
I know its there(Combo CD burner/DVD reader drive.)
The other prob is that there is a disc stuck in the drive. I have tried all the various methods to eject the disc to no avail including rebooting and holding Cmd-Opt-O-F then typing eject cd but alas I "have no cd drive"

Sep 22, 2009So I just got a look at the Logic Studio 2 Package and was a really interested in MainStage. I play a Gibson Les Paul 1957 Standard and an ESP Horizon FR-II. I currently only have one guitar effect pedal and a large Crate amp - those I am planning on upgrading until I saw MainStage. I saw some videos that you can select different model amps and effects to use live and for recording.
What would be the ideal device to get so I could plug my guitar in? Is there a pedal board I could use to program and change effects in MainStage?

I'm eagerly waiting for the new MBP updates and when it finally arrives, i will be purchasing it for 2 reasons, school work and recording software. i have done i little bit of research on both Logic and Pro Tools and they equally interest me, but i was wondering which one would be more versatile for my needs: ill be recording guitar, bass, and vocals and mixing them, mostly Death Metal genre, but i dont want to drag my amp to school so i was going to use a USB interface, which program has better/more realistic amp tones?

MacBook :: Clicks Not Registering
May 29, 2009Sometimes in ALL programs (so far) I am not able to click certain stuff. For example, when I'm in Safari (4.0) I try to click a link but nothing happens. It shows me the clicking finger thing and I am able to scroll (I can not use the two finger scroll on the trackpad only the sidebar) and I am able to move the window around. I have found that I can fix it sort of by clicking the link millions of times. Oh also I can not right click the link but I can right click everywhere else.
I thought maybe it might be some of my 3rd party software but I doubt it. The only things I have installed are geekTool and this Cleardock replacement called Mirage.

MacBook :: Not Registering Drags - How To Fix It
Nov 10, 2009my macbook aluminum seems to be very weird. It recognises all the other gestures (two fingers, click, tap, drag-lock, etc) but i can not drag it the way i did before =(
so when i drag like pretending there is a button on my trackpad, the item got released very easily! I don't know why this is happening! If it isn't clear, i'll post a video later.
I have done all the updates, the trackpad update and performance update and 10.6.2 update. I don't know how to fix it!

Nov 28, 2007ive been a PC user for long but recieved my macbook a cpl of days ago, and this weekend im gonna start the incredible work load of converting my Cubase SX3 projects into Logic.Since Cubase suck there is no easy way to "consolidate all tracks...", to mix down each channel to a separate track automatically. I will have to do it manually. Track by track. 50+ projects, maybe 15-20 channels in each. Anyway, that was not a question, but this is.
1. Is there any easy way to copy midi tracks from Cubase to Logic? Just the information that tells the chosen instrument how to play. Not any instrument setting, just the track information. I hope you get what im after. Maybe i should rephrase, Is there any way to copy MIDI information from Cubase to Logic?Even tho i will mix down the miditracks aswell i want to save the information in case i want to try playing it with one of Logics synthesizers instead of the instrument i used in Cubase.
