Is the audio content from Final Cut Studio 2 the same as the content from Logic Studio 9
Audio Content 1
Audio Content 2
Audio Content 3
Are these the same for both Final Cut Studio 2 and Logic Studio 9? Or do the LS9 audio content DVDs contain more/different things? Also, if the LS9 content is the same and more, can i install the Audio Content for LS9 and then delete the content that came with FCS2 to free up about 20gb of disk space?
Does anybody know what the specific differences are between Logic Studio and Logic Express?
Also, is there any place where I can get Logic Studio for cheaper than the $499 retail price? The cheapest place I found I was at MacMall for only $49 cheaper.
Can anybody find anyplace cheaper, preferably around $350 or lower?
So I just got a look at the Logic Studio 2 Package and was a really interested in MainStage. I play a Gibson Les Paul 1957 Standard and an ESP Horizon FR-II. I currently only have one guitar effect pedal and a large Crate amp - those I am planning on upgrading until I saw MainStage. I saw some videos that you can select different model amps and effects to use live and for recording.
What would be the ideal device to get so I could plug my guitar in? Is there a pedal board I could use to program and change effects in MainStage?
ive been a PC user for long but recieved my macbook a cpl of days ago, and this weekend im gonna start the incredible work load of converting my Cubase SX3 projects into Logic.Since Cubase suck there is no easy way to "consolidate all tracks...", to mix down each channel to a separate track automatically. I will have to do it manually. Track by track. 50+ projects, maybe 15-20 channels in each. Anyway, that was not a question, but this is.
1. Is there any easy way to copy midi tracks from Cubase to Logic? Just the information that tells the chosen instrument how to play. Not any instrument setting, just the track information. I hope you get what im after. Maybe i should rephrase, Is there any way to copy MIDI information from Cubase to Logic?Even tho i will mix down the miditracks aswell i want to save the information in case i want to try playing it with one of Logics synthesizers instead of the instrument i used in Cubase.
Anybody on here using Logic Studio? If so, how do you find it?
I've read that logic 8 is poor on time stretching / elastic audio, anyone have first hand experience? Any sign of an update to Logic Studio, it'd be annoying to buy it only for it to be updated in a few months.
Am thinking of getting the Air and would be interested in hearing from anyone who tries Logic Studio (8 or 9) on it.
I know it won't handle as much as my 24" iMac or have nearly as much screen real estate, but it would be nice to be able to record multitrack with a compact USB audio interface and I'm curious to find out how the SSD factors in.
Can I run Logic Pro Studio on a single 1.8 G5? The specs say I need a dual processor for some of the things that need to be done. It's actually not for me but for a musician who is a relative of mine --
-- this is the 8 gig total ram single 1.8ghz.
Does anyone know if this will just choke on Logic Pro?
I am looking to do alot of recording with Logic Studio, and was wondering which would be better? are the old i5's still a lot faster than the new i3's? I will also be doing a bit of photoshopping and Premiere.
Last week I ordered my Macbook Pro with the 2.4 Ghz cpu and I was quite sure the cpu will do the application. But now I've read some threads about Logic Studio, where people say that Logic supports Hyperthreading and therefore I doubt that my macbook will last for the next years. Maybe a better cpu will last longer.
The problem is that I cannot cancel my order anymore .
What do you think about the cpu's in reference to Logic and what would you do?
I know you can drag the right 'bracket' on the bar ruler or you can type in a value in the transport under the tempo. But on my system, I can only get it to bar 21601 and no further.
You may be thinking, what am I doing? Composing a 13 hour song?
I just have some files with time stamps on them and a few say they go beyond my project end. I'm hoping there's a setting where I can extend the limit.
My imac - Running - 10.5.8 Processor - 2.5 GHz Intel core duo 2 Memory - 1 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAMÂ I run logic studio on it in my studio. For a good few months its been always having the ''system overload'' message come up on logic so ive been using my laptop instead but i really need to use my imac now as ive just finished builing my studio. About a month ago the memory on the Mac HD was completly full except 1GB. Ive been through deleting almost everything! and trasffering it all onto my new 3TB external HD. Yet still the memory on the Mac HD is still used mostly up;Capacity - 237.57 GB Avaliable -Â 24.86 GB Used - 207.71 GBÂ My questions are, how do i free up more space? I can't seem to find much saved on my computer anymore only my itunes music which is no more than 10GB. Surley Logic Pro and a few other programs dont take up loads of space. My other question is how can i speed up my computer? so it doesnt come up with the ''system overload'' messages? Â

My 15" MBP Santa Rosa finally packed it in, and I'm about to sell it on Craiglist for parts but I want to know how to retrieve the hard drive contents off of the computer before selling it. Does anyone know how this can be done?
With the impending demise of Mobile Me, I'll be making some changes. In order to utilize the full capabiliteis of new Mobile Me I'd need to upgrade to OS X.I have not yet done so because I have and use FCS 3 and Logic 9, both of which have been reported as having compatibility problems with Lion. I write to ask the status especially of compatibility between Lion and Logic 9. With sadness I understand that FCS 3 will never work with Lion, so I'll also ask of any FCS 3 users who have upgraded: what have you done to be able to work with your video created in FCS 3?
Info: iMac 3.16 Ghz 4 GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.5.8), also use MB 2.06 Ghz 2 GB RAM & iMac 2 Ghz 2 GB RAM
Im working off my laptop with a monitor. My immediate issue is that I have been editing fine this morning and then all of a sudden I could hear the audio for my clips but I can't see the footage in the viewer or the canvas. I can double clip on each clip individually and see what the footage is however. I've shut my computer down a few times and its not fixing itself. Also a lot lately when I sit down to do some editing the footage flickers on one clip and wont proceed to the next clips footage but I can still hear the sound.
I recorded some gameplay footage using Yosemite's Quicktime Movie Recording feature. The audio is there when I play the quicktime, but when I drop it into Final Cut Pro 7, it wants to render the audio. I render it, but the audio is gone. Any way to have it convert the audio?Â
I am running an M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 MIDI controller via USB into Logic Express 7. I use Mac OSX. I'm going straight from the Keystation Pro 88 into the MIDI port of my MacBook Pro. I use a Pre Sonus Firepod as my audio interface (not sure if that's even relevantWhen I begin playing too many notes (especially after pressing the sustain), the piano (Garage Band grand piano .exs) starts to cut out. It sounds like BAD static, as if the MIDI were overloading Logic. I've tried changing the buffer size in audio preferences - it gets no better, only worse when I lower the size (32 being nothing but static).
Is it likely? Aperture is a pro app and is on there, and it'd make sense if they also added Logic and Final Cut - it'd be like a professional version of iWork with the whole set.
I have just had my logic board replaced by apple via the extended warranty covering the nvida issue. I use the machine to run some audio applications and have noticed since the replacement board was added the machine is now prone to audio glicthes and drop out of some audio.Â

For some reason, I can't get Logic Express 8 to output audio to my Mac's attached speakers. It outputs fine through my M-Audio interface, though, but I'd just like to listen without headphones.
I'm running Lion on an 27" iMac (first i7 iteration), and have a folder on an external HDD that contains a couple of hundred subfolders.Â
However - when viewing them in Finder, only the first hundred or so display.Â
The others are there - searching the disc finds the folders and their contents and, once, the contents are located, they'll display in the expanded view.Â
I copied the offending folder across to the Mac's main HD, but this behaviour came across with it. This, by the way, was happening on Snow Leopard too before I upgraded to Lion.Â

When I use some powerpoint presentation containing audio-visual info keynote always seems to prematurely end the audio part. Have tinkered with it a little, but can't seem to sort it out
I want to convert some video files (specifically swf in this case) to audio files so I can listen on my iPod. I looked everywhere and can't find some free software that does that. There are tons that have trial periods with lots of limitations (like it won't convert anything larger than a 5k size file) so I don't want those because I won't know if the thing works well unless I pay for it. I'm not opposed to paying for a converter IF I know it works awesome on a Mac.
