I just used Adobe Acrobat Pro, and added a 'digital signature', but really, I just want to drag and drop (or copy and paste) a scanned signature I have handy. I couldn't see how to do this in Acrobat. Is there a good little app that will make this easy for me?

View 5 Replies View RelatedHow the heck to I stop Lion from launching old docs when I open a new doc in MS Word, Excel, Preview, etc? I HATE this feature. Twice now I've edited the wrong document because when I click on a new Word doc, one that I worked on last automatic pops up on top of it. This is a ridiculous feature! Also, I don't need photos that I looked at yesterday magically opening when I open a new photo in Preview. That can be embarrassing if is someone is looking over my shoulder, if you know what I mean. Do I need to make sure I close all old docs instead of just quitting. Is there a way to just turn this frustrating auto open feature off?

I have been working on a project in iMovie for a few days, and it has been working perfectly. Today, I opened up my project and I could not play the project (the red line would move, but no picture would show up in the upper right hand corner box) and ALL of the options in the "share" tab were gray and unable to click them. Many options in the "edit" and "file" tabs were unable to be clicked as well.
Another project i completed months ago is working perfectly. The clips in the events play/show up on the window in the upper right hand corner
My dad was saving a bunch of Word docs on his Mac - he had one large file that he split up into twenty-some smaller files, which he then saved onto both his desktop and on a flash drive. Somehow along the way (neither he nor I had any clue how) but 4 of those files saved as an alias that point to nowhere. In other words, I can't find the originals anywhere on his computer or flash drives.
Even stranger is that one of those files aliased to the Applications folder. Keep in mind these are all supposed to be word documents. They all still end with .doc, but their type is an alias. I have no clue how they were created as an alias, but they were. It's probably a longshot without knowing where the original is located, but do any of you guys know how to possibly retrieve this?
I have mail Version 3.6 (936) on my macbook. I have created 8 different signatures. However when I write a new mail and go to the drop down window to choose a sig. I am only given 3 to choose from. How do I get all 8 in the drop down window?
I have to fill out a W-9 form for my job and I was sent a pdf. I have my digital signature set up but have no idea how I can import it into the w-9 form through preview.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to put a small image into one of my standard signatures for outgoing mail. In the Mail.app pref pane this works fine. Just drag the image into the field and its there. However, when I send an email with the signature at the bottom, the image is just received as an attachment. Is there a way to "embed" the image into the signature and subsequently the email? The image is a 60kb jpg image by the way.
I am fairly new to the wonder that is Entourage.
Can anyone tell me how to set up my auto sig so that it only appears once in an email trail or alternatively only in new messages?
I'm recently reintroduced to Macs after living in PC land for 20 years. Haven't found a capability to have an email signature that only posts to "new" mails, or "forwards" in chain. Outlook has the capability to not add signature in replies - is there something similar in Mac?

I use entourage for email, and want to include a LinkedIn image in my auto-signature, and have that hyperlink to my public linkedin profile (linkedin provides the html for this). However, I can't seem to get that to work...just like I can't get the link to my website to hyperlink.
I am having difficulty with the Mail signature function. I have been able to make one however I am having the following problems:
- When I add an attachment the images I have (business logo and signature) also attach as an attachment and are removed from the body of the email.
- The images do not show all the time when I send these to my business email.
Today, after using a signature in Apple Mail for the past few months, I discovered that my signature is HUGE when read by non Apple Mail users and that the text in my emails is in Times New Roman even though I set it to Helvectia by default.
Turns out this is a problem in Apple Mail, as setting a default font only affects what YOU see, not what the email recipient sees. This seems backwards to me. My emails have apparently been all unorganized for months now. I've sent out job applications thinking I had a sleek format...
Anyways, researching this, I read nearly every post in this google search, but still don't understand how to fix the problem. Apparently there's one "fix" involving stationary, and another fix where you begin typing right at the beginning of the sig...?
Can anyone tell me how to make my emails that I send from Apple Mail show up for my recipients in Helvectia and have the signature be in the same font size and Helvectia as well ? And no, clicking the "always match my default message font" button didn't do this, just in case.
I love using Google Docs and would love to have all my school documents online rather than just on my computer in case one day i run out the door and forget to print out an assignment due that day. What options do I have to upload my documents quickly as opposed to uploading them 1 by 1?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't mind iWork, but one thing that bugs me is having to specify all the time that i'd like to save the document as the microsoft version (ppt, doc, excel etc) instead of the apple formats. It also isn't that fun to then have to navigate to where the original file is and overwrite it. Any way to just have the apps default save your documents (whether new or old) as microsoft versions?

Does anyone know of an easy way to migrate all my apps, email folders, settings, docs, etc...? I used to use retrospect express in the past when I have migrated from one comp to another because it was easy... backup complete volume to external drive... restore complete volume to new comp from external drive, but in this case I don't have that option because I bought the new comp on ebay and would like to keep the new operating system with all my stuff from my old comp. I can't seem to figure it out with backup.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a .mkv file on my iMac and when I rename it, it works but it also doesn't work.
I rename it by clicking on the .mkv file and clicking Get Info, then I can enter in the new file name there.
But then when I did open the file in VLC Player, it shows the original file name which is something stupid like "dizo".
I'm looking for a program which will let me edit this file name properly (hope that made sense).
I can not find where to edit the url and right now it is just sitting there.is there a account or something I can change so that I am able to MOVE ON dealing with godaddy as well.
