Dec 21, 2010I just used Adobe Acrobat Pro, and added a 'digital signature', but really, I just want to drag and drop (or copy and paste) a scanned signature I have handy. I couldn't see how to do this in Acrobat. Is there a good little app that will make this easy for me?

Jun 26, 2012I am stumped as to why I can't figure this out. I have been trying to send an email to someone that needs a picture as an attachment. Every time I click on the attachment icon or button in the menu, it puts the picture in the body of the email. She needs to have it as an attachment that she can download onto her computer. There has to be a way to do this, I am just not figuring it out. Could someone please give me some insight? I have tried saving to a file and attaching it from there, tried view image as an icon, but nothing seems to be working. She also needs it in a bigger file, which I think will be solved once I can attach the file without being in the body of the text. How would I make a bigger file, from 131 KB to say 400 KB?

Jun 25, 2009I've done some work on Numbers and Pages (both 2008) on my MacBook. For some reason when I try to attach these documents to an email to send to my boss, they are grayed out so that I cannot click them and attach them. I've tried using my university's system as well as hotmail, ymail and gmail, so I assume it has something to do with recognition of the files. So far, I have tried to change the Numbers documents to .xls, but this does not solve my problem.
In this form, the properties ("Get Info") tell me that it is a Microsoft Excel document, but Numbers won't open it and in won't send via email. I have other .xls documents on my computer that I either received by email or downloaded, the icon on my desktop is different, Numbers reads it and they can be attached to emails. It seems that even though I change the .numbers files to .xls, there is still something missing for them to really be Excel files or at least sendable.

Jun 7, 2012I finally switched to Apple's Mail app 4 months ago after 12 years of using Eudora (because of the inevitable - that Lion or Mountain Lion, when I upgrade, will not support the foundation architecture that Eudora is built on).There are (AT LEAST) two functions available in Eudora that I very much want to do with Mail and currently cannot figure out how to do. I'm hoping that someone knows of a plugin that will do these functions, or will write such a plugin, or will tell me how to make this suggestion to Apple to include in a future update.
1) I want the freedom to EDIT a received message - to correct a subject line, or make it more relevant for my reference, or add a key word/prefix to the subject for future searching and archiving, along with being able to edit the message itself, so that it is the equivalent in a book (or an eBook) of adding comments/marginalia for future reference. (In my opinion, once I receive an email message, it is MINE - so I should be able to do what I want with it (which includes the responsibility of not rewriting a message to resend to appear as deceptive or fraudulent).
2) Write up a draft email, that would reside in the "Send" folder of Eudora, and for which I could select a time in the future that it should be mailed (dependent on the fact that Eudora would be running at that time, else it would send the next time Eudora was opened. I would LOVE to be able to do that in Apple Mail. Rationale: Often, when I receive an actionable email, I want to respond at that moment while the subject is fresh, but due to priorities or scheduling reasons, I don't want the response to go out just then. Maybe I want the response to go out after an event three days from now, but I want to process the message right now, and I don't want to have to remember to make a ToDo item to remind me in 3 days.

Mar 1, 2012I bought my Macbook Pro 13 inc, 500 GB, i5, OS X Lion, 2 days ago and this is my first Mac .I cant see my external disk (Philips), Samsung Galaxy S by using USB ports (i tried both USB enterances, but not working). I checked my Hardware by Apple Hardware Test (extended test done) and it says 'No trouble found'I checked Utilities and USB devices are not written in the list, only 500 GB SATA disk shown. I uploaded MacFuse-Tuxera and ntfs-3g-2010 softwares for using USB devices but i cant solve the problem too... My USB devices are not shown in desktop and utilities lists  How can i solve this problem, my devices work in Windows 7 - PC as usual, but in Macbook Pro, they dont work, please support me. I dont think that it can be hardware problem, Mac is new and devices are ok. Operating systems are different only.Â

Jun 2, 2010I have been working on a project in iMovie for a few days, and it has been working perfectly. Today, I opened up my project and I could not play the project (the red line would move, but no picture would show up in the upper right hand corner box) and ALL of the options in the "share" tab were gray and unable to click them. Many options in the "edit" and "file" tabs were unable to be clicked as well.
Another project i completed months ago is working perfectly. The clips in the events play/show up on the window in the upper right hand corner

Jun 4, 2014I have the latest MacBook Pro with Retina display with quad core. No attachments whether pdf, images, or documents will attach to any email program on any browser on the Maverick OS. This is a defect only with the MacBook Pro. My iMac quad core works great with attachments as would be expected.Â
Any answers as to why attachments fail to attach and gives the spinning beachball requiring a force quit. Eventually, I take the file on a memory stick to my iMac to attach it there on any browser with any email.

May 15, 2012I am using Mail 4.5 and I am experiencing a difficulty when I am trying to create a signature adding the logo in jpeg or pdf file and send it. The recipient if is not using Mac Mail receives the signature always as an attachment. I am using rich text format message since there is no html in Mac and I drag and drop the jpg to the signature creation window. I have also activated Send Windows -Friendly attachmend but the recipient keeps receiving the logo as attached and not inline.Â
