I'm going to type the equations in on Grapher, then drag and drop them into my Pages file.
However, I have a kind of OCD when it comes to college work, and everything has to be in the same font. What font does grapher use?!

Nov 21, 2004I am making a presentation for one of my classes and I need to insert equations into Keynote. The type of equations I need are one's that use theta's, delta's, lots of greek symbols, and they have to be in variable form with stuff on both sides of the equal sign. I can't find a way to do this. I've tried creating them with Word then cutting and pasting, but they don't show up. Anyone able to do this or have an idea?
I am using the latest Keynote version and office Mac X.
P.S., I thought about using PowerPoint, but everyone will be using that so I want have my presentation stand out, so I am going to use Keynote.

Feb 5, 2010I want to insert numbered equations into pages that are centered with Mathtype. In pages there is only an insert Mathtype Equation command, not a full toolbar with different alignment and numbering options as in Word. There seems to be nowhere within Mathtype itself I can see where I can make the equation centered and numbered. Inside Pages I cant center the equation as the option is greyed out and no visible option for numbering.

Jul 17, 2010I've been ripping my hair out trying to find the answer to this.
In Numbers for Mac, I need to fill a column automatically with a series of integers (1 - 50) and then the next column with a function that interacts with the first column.
For example:
Column A - 1 - 5
Column B - (value in Column A * 5)
I can't figure out how to do it in Numbers When I try to fill column a with 1 - 50 all it does is fill all 1's and I cant find an option how to make that change so it automatically numbers when I highlight them.
The best I can describe is how in Excel you can type 1 in the first cell, then highlight a bunch of cells and the little box appears that lets you click "Fill Series"

Apr 8, 2010I need to put equations into a powerpoint file with a dark background. Simple enough using the supplied equation editor. Problem is equation editor only give you a black font. I need to recolor it white in Powerpointless. No longer possible in Office 2008 as far as I know.

I open it and it says that the document cointains Word 2007 for Windows equations, which is not supported by Word 2008 for Mac.
I have never had this problem before, and I have downloaded a lot of these documents, containing equations from Equation Editor.
Is there any way I can make it accept them? I am pretty sure there isn't a 2007 edition of Word, and it sounds crazy that a Word document contains something that Word for Mac can't read.

Feb 28, 2009So recently my mac has decided to hide my Cursor/Pointer while typing, it doesn't really bother me much when i am browsing the web, But when i start to talk to my friends online then i have problems.
So when I'm typing to a friend the IM ( MSN ) hides the cursor so after i finished typing and press Enter then the message will send then realizing i have made a mistake or want to add a quick message on to the IM then i must have to click on the type box again because it dont keep init for some reason.
So i have looked in System Preferences and can't find nothing to turn this off.

Jun 12, 2012My imac starts typing by itself it usually starts in safari and if I open any other program it will continue in that. It also continuously toggles rapidly between items in the lists of drop down menus. Other weird stuff happening too like if I put it to sleep and re-login it will delete any text I try to put in the password box.

Dec 29, 2009I am trying to see if anyone else has this problem. I am a two finger typer, but type fairly fast. I write a lot on my computer, every day. Generally, I look at the keyboard when typing. I also tend to type hard, but this issue is there even when I try to type softer.
My problem is that I'll type a paragraph and then look up to proof my text and a significant number of characters are missing. This has continued with three different systems and multiple keyboards (wired and wireless). Apparently, the problem is me, but I am still fascinated by this matter.
I spent a tremendous amount of wasted time adding characters that are missing. Given I type with two fingers, AND I stare at the keyboard, I cannot fathom how so many characters do not appear.
So far on this posting, I have had to add five missing characters. Just imagine how many corrections I have to make in a year. This single problem must cost me days of wasted time.
If you have any suggestions, I am open to anything. I have even thought of filming my typing to assure I hit each key, but could not get a good camera angle. I would need to use at least two cameras.
IMac :: USB Keyboard Not Typing Letters
Apr 6, 2009I've already tried basic methods of resolving this issue i.e. resetting and unplugging and replugging the keyboard and my keyboard still won't type letters or numbers. The only kind of response I get by typing the keys is the keyboard will performing shortcut commands like save and open, etc. without holding control or alt, it does it when I press the letter keys by themselves.

May 30, 2009The MBP is such a beautiful machine made of aluminium, that I'd feel bad if I happened to scratch up the palm rests with my watch. When I was trying out a machine in the store yesterday, I noticed I had to pay special attention to weather or not my watch (with a metal band) would scratch the palm rests. Do any of you who wear watches with metal bands have issues with scratches/damage? And no, I won't stop wearing a watch or switch to a band made of silk to accommodate the MBP.
