App Store :: Stuck On (Would You Like To Get Your Copy Of IBooks Now?)
Mar 22, 2012
When i enter the app store, a message says: "Would you like to get your copy of iBooks now?" And i cannot press "Not Now" nor "Get iBooks", so I am stuck.
This has happened over the past few days. I've attempted to make new purchases both in the App Store and on iTunes. I'm queried for my Apple ID, then I'm asked to enter three new security questions and answers. When I complete this step, I receive a message that the App Store (or iTunes, depending on where I am) is "temporarily unable to process" my request and to try later. I've even reset my Apple ID password, logged out, logged back in, and attempted a purchase, but to no avail. I've run into the same problem attempting to purchase new apps on my iPhone and iPad as well. Updates to previously-purchased apps work, but not new purchases.
I have downloaded a number of apps to a pc and synced a number of ipads (16) to this machine. I have now bought a charge and syncing cabinet and wish to copy my apps from the pc to a macbook air to sync and add apps more efficiently to up to 32 ipads. How do I copy the apps and any other necessary info from my pc to the macbook air?
I bought my macbook pro about 10 month ago and I have started facing a few problems. When I tried to search my receipt I realized that I already lost it. it is possible to go back to apple store and get a copy of my receipt ? and will they repair my macbook pro if I don't have the receipt ?
Im Using OS X Lion and i can not Paste copied items to my External Hard Drive. PAste Option doesnt appear when i tried to paste it. I Tried Pasting it into my System but its ok.
How can I delete Apps and iBooks from iTunes so that do not constantly re-sync with iPad or iPhone even though I specifically un-check them NOT to sync? I have to go thru this every time! I don't even want them any longer on iTunes (or iPad) but I can't find a way to remove them from iTunes! Apple used to be so easy and intuitive but now so much is hidden/fixed).
Info: MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.7.4), 4GB SDRAM; 500GB HD
When I try to do this using itunes sync, I get the message that my iphone will be replaced with macbook ibooks and that is not what I want to do. I want to do the opposite. I tried downloading different things from my Macbook and it does to " downloads" whereby when I do the same thing on my iphone it goes straight to "ibooks" like I want it to.
I can sync my iPad to my iTunes on my macbook pro but on the library in iTunes it does not show an app for the ibooks therefor i cannot sync my ibooks onto iTunes. is there a way of saving my ibooks on my macbook pro ? also i am looking to get a matchbook air to replace the iPad can i read them on the macbook air ?
I fully understand the separate iBooks app in Mavericks. The problem I have is that my iTunes library still shows books available when I go to sync my iPad. The books are NOT in the iBooks app library, yet they still appear as available for syncing (See below). How do I remove them permanently?? I have tried to find a definitive answer, but haven't had any luck.
have a working email address for iTunes / iBooks support? We've been trying to upload books through iTunes Producer and have never had a confirmation that the books have been approved. After waiting a month,we emailed ibookstore@apple.com a few weeks ago but have never heard back.I've been told that Apple take ages to deal with customers but I think 4 weeks is long enough.
I have several books purchased on my iPhone or iPad. I enjoy reading Kindle books on the 27 inch display on my iMac Intel. I can't seem to find a way to read my iBooks in the same way.
In Mavericks, I transferred all of my books from iTunes to iBooks (File > Move Books from iTunes). However, none of the books appear in my bookshelf/library when viewing in iBooks. I tried buying a new book while in iTunes, it downloaded, but it does not appear in my library either. These books are accessible in iBooks via a search but cannot be seen in the library.
Info: Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), 2.6 GHz i7
I have a dot ibooks file created in ibooks Author. I have used Export to put it in a folder on my Mac (Mavericks) and then used Add to Library to put the dot ibooks file into iBooks. It appears in iBooks on the Mac and I can open it and read it. It does not automatically synch with connected ipad. I have tried putting it into a "Collection" and making sure that "Synch Collections" is checked but it still does not automatically synch. What am I doing wrong? How can I get iBooks on Mac to synch with iBooks on iPad?
i mean seriously, if they are going to put notes, reminders, and imessage they might as well put i books on their, what if someone doesnt have an ipad and wants a textbook on their laptop for a class? or if they just dont have an ipad..
I was using iwork.com to upload Keynotes and other Mac app files to clients. I see now that icloud will be used for this and I need to know how and if I can upload IBooks Author, IBook and Keynote files to the icloud server so a client of mine can download.
I just purchased a new MacBook Pro with Mavericks and transferred my files from an earlier laptop with an earlier OP. I had two files of MS Word documents, each file a title ending in "Book". Mavericks apparently automatically converted both file folders to iBooks, and now when I double-click on them the Terminal launches.
How can I get my folders back with their MS Word content?
An iBook purchased text book no longer displays diagrams so I have tried to restore a previous backup but when I open my iBook library and then enter Time Machine it opens a Finder window for the Desktop, if I then navigate to iBooks app I just get info on the app no access to content. I am using a late 2012 iMac running OSX Mavericks 10.9.4.
