Aperture shows no adjustments from the left-hand panel, not WB, not exposure, contrast, color, nada. I can crop, rotate, clone, straighten, take out the red-eye, but that's it.

I have just been looking at the presentation video "Advance in Core Images" from WDC: URL....What I have just realised, is that although images, folder structure and metadata can be migrated from Aperture to Photo - Images adjustments very likely cannot be migrated - Apple are changing the underlying mechanism by which image adjustments are being made and the stage in image processing where they are being made. For example, even if both tools have a "Brightness" adjustment, the effect of a 14% change in brightness may well be different.
Also, the set of editing adjustments in Photo will different than Aperture - even if you could migrate some adjustments - what would be the value of migrating some adjustments, but not all?In an Aperture to Lightroom migration metadata and folder structure information can be retained, original and final images can be retained, but the sticking point for may is that the adjustments and the reversibility of those adjustments cannot be retained. You cannot say, I want the same image, but with a little less sharpening and no noise reduction.It will be no different in the Aperture to Photo migration.
Is there anyway to make the transition from Aperture 3 to Lightroom 5 where my adjustments to my photos also make the transition? Without having to export all my adjusted photos as TIFFs from Aperture?
I have over 20,000 photos in Aperture. I have Lightroom 5 and have read through this [URL] ... but am a little freaked out about the paragraph about adjustments not making the transition. And yes, I can keep Aperture on my computer, but eventually it will no longer work with an OS or a chip or something as computers continue to progress.
Is there a plugin that allows you to make HSL adjustments to individual RGB channels in FCPX, much as you can in Lightroom and (now discontinued) Aperture?

I'm left handed, yet I have grown up with right handed mice and it feels awkward to use a mouse in my left hand now. I was just dragging some items around the desktop into some folders in the Finder and I guess something got messed up. When I was finished moving things around, a small square icon appeared in the left hand corner of the screen that cannot be dragged to another location or deleted. Whenever I click, it a small screen pops up momentarily, saying that it's going to open a file (I deleted the file) and nothing happens. After I deleted the file, the small square box just contains a picture of a question mark. I'm trying to get rid of it, but I don't know how to.

I have 2 pictures which i snapped with my iPhone, so i will link you too them.
The line is not majorly visible, but it is just annoying considering i payed �1000 for this iMac.

Having now added a GMail IMAP account to Mail, I find that it's folders come at the bottom of the window, with 'Mailboxes', 'Trash', 'Reminders', 'On My MAc', RSS above the GMail Top level mailbox and therfore the subsequent cascaded mailboxes...

I'm trying to use iphoto but when I put my cursor over a photo it has a small flag in the upper left hand corner and a downward arrow in the lower right corner.I've used it lots but it just started doing this. My events pull up just not a single photo.

I usually don't complain about stuff but I noticed last night on my MBP (one below) that I have some light leakage on the left and right side of the panel. When I have a dark wallpaper you can defiantly notice it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have only recently started noticing this, it is mostly visible on the white screen at boot up but just faintly noticed it now against my background.
It is a fading black line going down the left hand side of the screen, it starts at the top kind of fades in the middle then comes out again.
I honestly have no idea what this is, i will try catch a picture on my phone soon and post it up.

UPDATE: Sometimes the line is clear, sometimes it is faint and even sometimes it isn't even there!

The Bottom panel, on the left side, under the wasd keys, for example, if I press under there, it makes a clicky noise, like the panel is loose. Does anyone else have this? When I'm in the Itunes store with version 9, the left side panel is gone where you would choose genre's for music or select from a list of categories for apps.

OK, brand new to Aperture from iPhoto.Not a professional just a frequent traveller with lots of pictures.In iPhoto we had Folders say "Travel" then Sub-Folders like "Turkey" then folders in there for various cities, so "Istanbul" for example.Then inside there we have an album.
Projects is unimportant to us because we do such a good job of organizing our photos, usually at the end of the day, but certainly on the plane ride home.I have Projects hidden in Aperture so that is fine.But today we tried to make a new Folder and it placed it at the bottom of Projects, if we make an album it places it at the bottom of all the other Folders in our Picture library.
Our work around was go back to iPhoto which works the way we want it to.Short of dragging the Folder that Aperture made in Projects down or working in iPhoto is there any other way to make a Folder appear automatically in the Pictures area vs. Projects?
I can't make the left/right audio edge command working. I set it up in my custom way but any command I set for it, it doesn't work here (if I type the command the audio clip is simply deselected).
