I want to print iCal with Mondays in the left hand side column. My calendar prints with Tuesday in the left hand column even though it displays Mondays in the left hand column when in normal use.

I've had this iMac about a year now, and i have had this problem for a while but thought i'de leave it for abit and see if it heals its self. As sometimes the line is more visible than other times and sometimes it's not even there!
I have 2 pictures which i snapped with my iPhone, so i will link you too them.
The line is not majorly visible, but it is just annoying considering i payed �1000 for this iMac.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have only recently started noticing this, it is mostly visible on the white screen at boot up but just faintly noticed it now against my background.
It is a fading black line going down the left hand side of the screen, it starts at the top kind of fades in the middle then comes out again.
I honestly have no idea what this is, i will try catch a picture on my phone soon and post it up.

UPDATE: Sometimes the line is clear, sometimes it is faint and even sometimes it isn't even there!
What are the little widgety things under our usernames to the left hand side of the message windows? Why are they labelled "Rule '1'" and similar? When did they appear? I'm sure they weren't there last time I logged in...
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt's only today that I noticed my MacBook's right speaker is considerably louder than the one on the left. I opened Sound panel in System Preferences to see if the balance was off, but it was set at dead center. Then, I dragged the balance slider all the way to the left to see if the sound coming from the left speaker was okay at all. Well, it sure isn't. Very muffled, muddy sound. No highs at all. Dragging the slider to the right side reveals a very different sound texture. Very crisp, as it should be. Really weird. Anybody else experiencing this odd speaker behaviour?
I googled for this problem and found this thread, right here on Mac Forums. It's a thread for the MacBook Pros, though. The people with a MacBook Pro think it's because there's a subwoofer on the right side. Well, the MacBook doesn't have a subwoofer, so it can't be that. Any ideas? Is it repair time?
By the way, I have a late 2008 unibody MacBook, the 2,4GHz model.
I am a new Mac user, have just purchased an Imac 2.66 core 2 duo, 4gb ran, 750 gb HDD, trying to get to grips with the OS X, when opening a torrent file with bit torrent it opens and appears in the windows however cannot connect in the bottom right hand side of the window message 'checking for firewall' have checked built in firewall its set to allow all incoming, i do not know anything about this system Windows yes but OS X.

I'm just curious as to how many people use mice in their left hand. I was looking at some old macintosh pictures and a lot of them have the mouse on the 'other' side. I'm left handed, yet I have grown up with right handed mice and it feels awkward to use a mouse in my left hand now. View 3 Replies View RelatedI was just dragging some items around the desktop into some folders in the Finder and I guess something got messed up. When I was finished moving things around, a small square icon appeared in the left hand corner of the screen that cannot be dragged to another location or deleted. Whenever I click, it a small screen pops up momentarily, saying that it's going to open a file (I deleted the file) and nothing happens. After I deleted the file, the small square box just contains a picture of a question mark. I'm trying to get rid of it, but I don't know how to.

Only noticed this problem recently when I was using the computer in bright daylight last weekend. My i5 27" iMac has an annoying hand print right in the centre of the INSIDE of the glass. Obviously this has come from the manufacturer handling the glass incorrectly during installation. From day to day use I do not notice this because I use the computer at night with low-lighting, and the majority of the time my blinds/curtains are closed.Regardless, this is my first Mac, I have saved up long and hard for this machine. I am disappointed that such an error could occur. I paid �1760 for this computer which is a lot of money for me, and at that price you expect near perfection. I don't think I will ask for a new machine because I can't do without my Mac, is there an easy way to fix the screen problem, and if so, will it void my warranty?

For a while I've been running a Beta version of iTunes, the one that worked with the iOS 4.2 Beta. So with the final release of iOS 4.2.1, I decided to uninstall and install the final version of iTunes. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get handoff/continuity to work with my Macbook Pro 15" Retina (Mid 2012--2.3Ghz--8G Ram--256GB SSD/Yosemite 10.10.1 ) and iPhone 6 (4.7" 128GB Space Gray/iOS 8.1.1) I said partly because browser continuity works with browsing but it does not work with everything else.
- When I open a webpage in IOS Safari, the left side of my MBPr's dock does show up that "continuity" icon Chrome/Safari and when I click on that, it does bring me to the webpage I am checking on my iPhone.
- When I open a webpage on my MBPr's Safari, a little Safari icon does show up on the downleft of my iPhone lock screen, I pull it up. It does bring me to the webpage I was checking on my MBRr What does not work with Handoff/continuity
- Mail (when I open Mail in MBPr, Mail doesn't show on the other device. Same applies to open Mail in iPhone)
- Messages (When I open Messages in MBPr, Messages doesn't show on the other device. Same applies to open Messages in iPhone)
- Incoming Call (When my iPhone have incoming call, doesn't have incoming call notification show on my MBPr screen)
What I tried/made sure
- Made sure both device have bluetooth turned on and both under the same WiFi network.
- Both MBPr and iPhone installed the lastest version OS and all patches available from app store.
- Both MBPr and iPhone signed in with the same iCloud ID
- Both MBPr and iPhone enabled Handoff.
- Uncheck "iPhone Celluar Call" in my MBPr's facetime
- Turn off and on Handoff/Suggest APPs in my iPhone
- Restart both MBPr and iPhone multiple times
- Cleared MBPr PRAM
- Verified and Repair disk permission in my MBPr
- Enabled Text Message Forwarding
- Able to see my iPhone's personal hotspot under MacOS Wifi pulldown menu.

I noticed that....on SMC Fan Control...it only shows that I have a "Left Side" fan. Are Macbook Pros suppose to have only 1 fan ? Or is mine not functioning? Here is a screenshot [URL].
