I've had my mac for about three years now and everything was working fine. After I installed lion, I notice that this started to happen. I don't lose any of my information though when it does that. It just goes into a sleep mode I guess? Anyways, is this a feature from the lion update? Something standard?

Using 24 inch iMac (purchased a year and half ago). There seemed to be moisture forming in the lower right hand corner of the iMac screen (about 6 inches wide and 2 inches tall at worst). i have read that this seems to be a common problem. Had the iMac for about a year and half and never saw this issue though. Based on forum research, the recommendation was to turn on the AC to reduce humidity. Moisture definitely disappeared after 30 minutes, however I'm concerned it will happen again. I suppose I will bring it into Apple concered (although i would rather avoid dealing with it). Has anyone else experienced this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just noticed this why my computer was booting up today because its only visible against a white background, but there is some grey textures in the lower right hand corner of my display that resemble the strands of a carpet, in that they are fine lines that do not go straight up, but curve. The other thing it kind of looks like is frost. Anyways, anyone know what this is and if I can do anything about it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had this iMac about a year now, and i have had this problem for a while but thought i'de leave it for abit and see if it heals its self. As sometimes the line is more visible than other times and sometimes it's not even there!

The line is not majorly visible, but it is just annoying considering i payed �1000 for this iMac.

I have only recently started noticing this, it is mostly visible on the white screen at boot up but just faintly noticed it now against my background.
It is a fading black line going down the left hand side of the screen, it starts at the top kind of fades in the middle then comes out again.
I honestly have no idea what this is, i will try catch a picture on my phone soon and post it up.

UPDATE: Sometimes the line is clear, sometimes it is faint and even sometimes it isn't even there!

I'm on the Mac indicated on my signature and am running Snow Leopard. The 4 finger swipes up and down are so buggy in this release. When I swipe up, I get the desktop to show, I swipe down to have the current thing come back up, but right as I let go of my 4 fingers, it jumps back to showing the desktop. I can't get out of this cycle unless I click on the lower right hand corner or something. Video of what happens

This only happens when I choose to boot into windows. The screen sort of hangs for about 20 seconds in a black screen with an underscore at the top left corner before even starting to boot into windows. I know its normal for this to happen for like 5 seconds tops, but this is happening for about 20 seconds and its dreadful trying to boot into Windows 7 because it takes so long. When windows is done starting up i don't even get any messages saying startup failed or something like that. This is so annoying that I even reinstalled everything but the same thing happened.

I spilt soda on the lower corner of my screen, which then dribbled down to the black plastic. The macbook pro 13" unibody imemediately turned off, I disconnected teh power cable. I will wait to let it dry out. any prospects?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was just dragging some items around the desktop into some folders in the Finder and I guess something got messed up. When I was finished moving things around, a small square icon appeared in the left hand corner of the screen that cannot be dragged to another location or deleted. Whenever I click, it a small screen pops up momentarily, saying that it's going to open a file (I deleted the file) and nothing happens. After I deleted the file, the small square box just contains a picture of a question mark. I'm trying to get rid of it, but I don't know how to.

I just bought a brand new Nvidia Macbook White from Amazon. Love it so far. One problem,and I will post a pic, there is a small nick on the top left corner of the casing of the screen. Its noticeable but otherwise the computer is great,no keyboard flex that I can see or any other cosmetic issues. Would it be worth it to go through the whole Amazon exchange for just this issue with no guarantee that the replacement would be any better?

So today I noticed a small black bar on the corner of my screen. I tried to get a screen shot of it, but i couldn't, like it was off the screen. However, my mouse dissapears under it when i move it there.It is a little hard to distinguish because it is the 2.4 ghz macbook aluminum, glossy screen so it has the black surrounding it, but it is definably there. This all along the right hand edge of the screen.
Although there is a chance it may have always been there, I am not so sure. I think there are lines along the top and left hand sides, but they are much smaller. again it is hard to tell. I am fairly sure that there is none on the bottom of screen. Is this normal, or what? I have applecare, and I didn't do anything to my macbook. Although it is getting me a little OCDish, and is slightly annoying, and I know these things on the screen tend to expand.
I'm just curious as to how many people use mice in their left hand. I was looking at some old macintosh pictures and a lot of them have the mouse on the 'other' side. I'm left handed, yet I have grown up with right handed mice and it feels awkward to use a mouse in my left hand now. Does anyone out there use mice in their left hand, or has everyone conformed to a right handed world?

I seem to not be able to recreate the problem at will, nor does there seem to be a correlation between what programme is running at the time. Â
I did a combo install (10.9.3) but this did not solve the problem. Swopped the mouse (silly but, you never know).?
My Mac froze. I tried rebooting and now it won't boot past the blue screen. I have a mouse pointer and there is a small black circle with three smaller blue dots inside of it in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Clicking on it does nothing. I tried booting in safe mode but it wouldn't boot past the galaxy screen. Again, I had a mouse pointer but nothing more. I've tried booting from the OS disc that came with the computer. It sounds like the disc is running but nothing ever happens.

When trying to open computer after being in sleep mode, I clicked the mouse to open the password screen, & a blank blue/black screen appeared & the mouse timer( colored circle) appeared, as if to be waiting. This just started happening a few days ago. My cursor randomly jumps to the upper left corner of the screen for no good reason. I've cleaned the optical sensor on the mouse.
I used a test account and it didn't happen there (although I probably should have given it a longer test). I'm wondering if it's a corrupted preferences issue, but I can't find any likely prefs to trash.
I just bought my macbook pro 13 inch about a 40 days ago and I have just noticed two small black dots on the on the bottom of the screen near the left side of my dock. I have done some research and they seem to be "dead pixels" They're really small but for the price I payed i didnt expect any problems. What are some suggestions to get rid of them or if i should contact tech support? Here are two pictures of the dots: They kinda change colour when i move my head around.. Not sure if theyre dead pixels or not.
