How to photosteam a smart album in aperture?
I have a 4-star smart album. Is there a way to sync this folder automatically? I have been doing this manually by moving the photos to photosteam.

Im creating a Pyramid graph. Im using Microsoft word for macs. I can't seem to enlarge my final product to fit page size. adding a second smart graph (circular arrows). I need the pyramid to be the background and insert the arrows within the pyramid without interfering with the text.

I have been getting emails from a subscribed content provider and now I realize that I'd like to have a Smart Mailbox with all of the past and future mailings from them. Is there any way to select just one (or all) of the emails I have received and create a Smart Mailbox with a single menu selection? I have tried selecting one of them, then 'New Smart Mailbox...' bt it doesn't recognize I have a selection...or doesn't put the sender of the email nto the recipient field (which is the default criteria in a new Smart Mailbox'). If it doesn't now do this, hey, Apple, future feature?

I have an iPhone 4S and the latest iMac. I manually manage my content on my iPhone - I don't have anything automatically sync on it. But when I drag music over to my iPhone the album art does not travel with it. I have most of my audio in AIFF format in iTunes - other than stuff I buy digitally. I have found that once the audio is over on my phone, I then have to copy the artwork over not once but TWICE before it will update on the phone and show up. It does work though and that is fine.
My problem now is I purchase digital 'compilations' where each track has a different album cover because they come from different albums. I just dragged over 250+ tracks and I'm not going to go in 1 by 1 and copy the album covers over twice for each track.My phone used to update properly but in the last few months it stopped doing it properly so I'm wondering if there is something that needs to be reset on it to get it to work properly again.I have all the files on my iPhone coverted to 128K for size issues and all my files in iTunes are at least 320K or higher so they all get down-converted when they are moved onto the iPhone. I assume the artwork is somehow getting 'lost' in this conversion process.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOK, brand new to Aperture from iPhoto.Not a professional just a frequent traveller with lots of pictures.In iPhoto we had Folders say "Travel" then Sub-Folders like "Turkey" then folders in there for various cities, so "Istanbul" for example.Then inside there we have an album.
Projects is unimportant to us because we do such a good job of organizing our photos, usually at the end of the day, but certainly on the plane ride home.I have Projects hidden in Aperture so that is fine.But today we tried to make a new Folder and it placed it at the bottom of Projects, if we make an album it places it at the bottom of all the other Folders in our Picture library.
Our work around was go back to iPhoto which works the way we want it to.Short of dragging the Folder that Aperture made in Projects down or working in iPhoto is there any other way to make a Folder appear automatically in the Pictures area vs. Projects?
I was importing some photos into Aperture when my battery unexpectedly died (that's a separate issue). I started the computer (a black MacBook) up again and opened Aperture only to have it be momentarily unresponsive followed endlessly by the rainbow spinning ball. Force quitting and restarting gives more of the same.
Any ideas on how I can make Aperture usable again? It's quite important to me.

I keep my large music collection on an external drive connected to an Airport Extreme in my home. I've embedded all my album artwork in the music files, and previously all the album artwork was displaying perfectly in iTunes. After upgrading to iTunes 10.5, however, most of my albums are missing the album art in the album list and Cover Flow. I know that the art is still in the file because it shows up in the "Now Playing" box in the lower left corner of the screen. The only way I have found to get the album art to show up again in the album list and Cover Flow is to go through the following steps: Control-click the first track of an album for which the cover art is not displaying correctly. From the context menu that appears, select Get Info.Click on the Artwork tab, then click Cancel.
Now the artwork shows up in iTunes in all views. I called Apple Support and asked if there's a faster way to fix the issue with the database. Manually fixing each album for hundreds of albums is no fun. Telling iTunes to Get Album Artwork doesn't work because most of my music was not purchased from iTunes but was ripped from CDs I already own. It's very frustrating because I already spent hours finding and embedding the hi-res album art in my files. I paid extra for Apple products because I expect them to at least avoid corrupting my databases.
Usually a CD comes with more artwork than just the cover. It has a CD cover w/ lyrics and other artwork. Is it possible to download this via itunes? If not, who?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, when I download the album artwork from iTunes for "Music from and Inspired by Spider-Man," it instead shows artwork for "Ethnicali: Music Inspired by the Golden State." I don't even have that album. There was another album of mine that iTunes applied the wrong artwork to as well, but I can't remember it off-hand. In any case, does anybody have any suggestions as to what I could do to fix this issue. I already submitted feedback to Apple about the problem as well.

I've got quite a few albums that need the album covers and when I click on all of the songs on the album and let iTunes try and retrieve the album covers it comes back with nothing. So what I've done in the past is go to [URL] and copy and paste the covers but it seems like I've got to go thru each song individually to get them to take.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just finished an original rock album, registered it with Gracenote, and it is being sold through itunes and many other places via cdbaby. The album is also available to download via Dropcards to people that buy or receive a download crad from us in person. PROBLEM is, when you download the cd, the tracks are in the proper order as on the album when they are in a folder from Dropcards, then you drag them into itunes and they are in ALPHABETICAL order in the RECENTLY ADDED folder! Under the MUSIC tab, they however are in proper album order. ?? It's good that the cd is properly registered and is in the right order in peoples main MUSIC list, but when I download albums, the easiest way to find the new album is under RECENTLY ADDED, which in my case would have people clicking on the wrong song to start listening to our record (not the intended feel we wanted to start the record with)

Just playing around with smart mailboxes to organise my emails.
I have set a couple up and the correct mails go to the correct smart mailbox, but they also remain in my inbox. Also when i tried deleting them from the inbox they were also deleted from the smart mailbox.
Am I doing something wrong, or is that just how it works? I'm just trying to have them be automatically moved to the desired smart mailbox and not in inbox.
I purchased a smart ups 1000 to protect my mac pro from power cuts and I currently have it on charge the only thing is I am not sure how to connect my mac pro to it (as it is my first time setting one up) I get that I have to plug the ups into the mains but then how do I connect the mac pro to the ups do I simply plug the 3 pin plug (I live in the UK) into the ups so the connections go cable plugged into mains>other end plugged into ups>mains end of mac pro power cable plugged into ups.other end of mac pro mains cable plugged into mac pro.
If this is correct the reason I have not realised it is because the holes on the back of the ups look a bit to close together for UK plug holes.
i just started using Mail 4.2 on OS X 10.6.3. Every so often, I forward email that I receive at work on my Lotus Notes email account. Especially, my payroll information. I created a Smart Mailbox with the rule that looks for consistent string in the subject line. The original email is in the Inbox, but it does not appear in the Smart Mailbox I created.
I must be doing something wrong. I've googled, I've looked in Apple Support, I searched here. I don't see the answer to my question.
