Apparently Flickr has made another change & Aperture will no longer upload multiple images to an existing Flickr acct. I've tried 3 times & each time the 1st image gets posted but not the rest. Activity monitor shows all the files were uploaded but they don't show in my albums.Â
Apparently a switch from API to SSL (whatever that is) has also affected Adobe Bridge uploads.Â
Other than exporting & then using the Flickr uploader? Are the Flickr upload plug-ins still working?Â
I am very disappointed to find that iPhoto only uploads photos to Facebook & Flickr in complete sets. I was really looking forward to this feature as I use both websites regularly, and assumed I would be able to upload just one picture, and choose what album I would add that photo to online. But no, iPhoto needs me to have an entirely new Flickr album matching an entire iPhoto event.
I've just bought Aperture 2, and during installation blithely told it to import all my 10,000 or so iphoto images. After several hours I'm just looking at it in browser view with 10,000 grey rectangles, and a little "thumbnails" flash appearing every few seconds on the bottom bar of the browser. 24" IMac 3.06 with 4GB RAM
I have an old version of Aperture (3.1.2) that no longer works on my mac following my update to OSX (10.9.4). I would like to update my Aperture version so that its compatible with OSX but am unable to do so. All the aperture downloads tell me I have to update through the App Store but the App Store does not recognize that I have a valid, if outdated, version of Aperture on my computer and wants me to buy the software again. Is there a way to update Aperture (for free) and keep my library of photos?
I'm on a new MacBook Pro and when I ask aperture to mirror on the secondary display it just dumps the mirror display over the main screen and the secondary display is untouched. is this a software uninstall/instal.
I need to download some of my photos from Flickr to my Mac and I'm wondering if there is any free/cheap software to do this on the Mac. I believe I could do this with Download on Windows but I'd rather not.
I am currently developing an application which will be able to sync your iPhoto content with Flickr. First shot will be one-way, i.e. iPhoto will be the master and all images will be uploaded to Flickr and added to Sets. The application will use the capture date to keep track of images and so it should work even if you already manually uploaded some of your images. With this post I hope to gather some feedback on the idea.
I hope to have a version ready for beta test in a few weeks. If you would like to participate in such a test, let me know. My email: Here are a few more things for you to comment on:
1. Currently I sync everything, but I expect to have an option where you can filter out images which should not be synced. 2. Currently an iPhoto Album = a Flickr set. What about events? 3. Currently all keywords from iPhoto are added as keywords on Flickr. Would filtering be nice to have?
I want to maintain and update the set on my Mac from now on. I don't want to delete and upload new photos as I'll loose comments and what not. The photos in the existing set are currently in iPhoto, they were just manually uploaded. Is there any way to do this?
I updated to Safari 5.1.7 a couple of days ago - and everything worked fine, as it always has done in Safari for me, until today. Now all images on Flickr flash white for a second after loading. Nothing has changed on the system in the meantime.
Info:Mac OS X (10.6.6), 2.53 GHz, 8GB RAM, 500GB, 7200rpm
I'm using iPhoto 8.0.2 and want to upload to Flickr, but the login data are incorrect in iPhoto, and I see no way of changing the info.Clicking "Flickr" just shows a message "Login failed - The login details or auth token passed were invalid." and no way to change anything. Same happens if I choose "Flickr" from the menu under "share".
I have a Samsung external drive from which I can play and view these small discs that are not compatable with iMac. I need to upload from these discs to a New Project or a New Event in iMovie. I cannot figure a way to upload for editing and produce a finished movie. My iMac forced me to get a Canon HF-R100 camcorder with an SD card for the iMac SD slot.
I noticed that Aperture 3 is priced really, REALLY low on the Mac App Store. So I made the decision to buy it. But... I already have Aperture 2 installed. So what happens when I buy Aperture 3? Does it recognize that I have Aperture 2 installed, and upgrade it, or will it install Aperture 3 alongside Aperture 2?
I just got my Mac a while ago, and I don't know tons about Mac.
My computer has never had a problem with uploading anything before. It would always open the window (Finder?), I would select the file, and it would upload it. Today, it just stopped letting that window open. It will flash the window for a second, and then it would disappear. It's not hiding behind the safari window, nor is it in any of my spaces. I've tried restarting my computer, and resetting everything that I know to reset in Safari (pop up settings, cookies, cache, etc.)
Im new to the Mac so please excuse me if this has allready been answered. We have just purchased Apple Macs for our School and I am having a few problems. I can't get FTP to connect to my website. I have put all settings in correct as it works under Windows fine.
We use a proxy server to connect to the internet and originally I had a problem getting the email to work after some lengthy phone calls (which where of no use) I managed to get it working by putting in the ip address of the mail server under bypass settings.
I was given these instructions: export out as a PNG sequence, import the image sequence into quicktime pro, and then you can export as whatever you want.
I'm confused. I exported already as PNG (on adobe flash) and I cannot find where I can import the images into quicktime.
I normally just drag from iPhoto to desktop, then when the web asks to "upload file" I just nav to desktop and upload, then delete.
My buddy just switched from PC and is trying to delve into the iphoto library to find the files and upload which is about to make him pull his hair out.
I have a very reliable connection, mediacom online broadband and I've been trying to upload this .mov video that's about 700 MB in size and it hasn't been working. I've been leaving my computer on at night and I would wake up with it saying error. I've tried the beta version the regular version it just ends up stopping somewhere and not working anymore. I'm now trying to upload with plugging it into my router via ethernet instead of using wifi if that makes it any faster. I'm getting real tired of trying to upload time after time after time. Is there any freeware that I can use to upload to youtube so it's more reliable? I don't want to make the file smaller and have worse picture so it can upload faster.
This really pisses me off - when I view pics on my MBP they always get displayed properly (which in general is a good thing), but when I upload them on Facebook I realize a great portion of them still need to be rotated, which makes it extremely annoying!!
How can I tell in advance which pics actually need to be rotated so to avoid inconvenience?
I have connected to my server through terminal and made my way to the administrator/videos directory where I want to upload the rared directory to so I type put directory name.rar and press enter and I get the following message usage: put local-file [remote-file]
I have only been a Mac owner for a couple of months, and I'm trying to figure out how to do basic video editing. I just bought a Canon Vixia HF s100 to replace a miniDVD type camcorder that was arbitrarily corrupting entire disks of video. Just now I tried to upload the first few clips that I've taken with the camcorder, and I think I somehow lost all the info that was on the card.
I have a card reader that I use for my photos, so I used that with the SDHC card based off of info someone had posted on this forum. Then I watched the imovie tutorial and decided I should've just plugged in the camcorder with the card in it and uploaded that way. When I put the card back in the camcorder it shows zero clips where there had been several.
I hope this makes some sense. . . does anyone know what I did wrong and if my video is lost forever??
I am trying to upload some photos to email and flickr - and only some of my photos are available (others are "greyed" out) I have done the apple key + I on my photos folder to change the permission so that everyone can read & write, and still half of my photos remain greyed out unless I change each one individually. How can I get it so that ALL of my photos are able to be uploaded?
Won't recognize it when i connect both sources. in my documents it realized that it was uploading something but put the photos into a text file (ipmeta) How would i convert this into my iPhoto Gallery?
I let a friend use my computer and was wondering if there is anyway to determine what files she may have uploaded using her own AOL account on my machine. Is there any upload file record or upload manager that can detect all uploads? Is there some sort of MAC OS Up-Load Manager that can show all uploads regardless of what account was used to perform the upload? This might be a Safari question I suppose?
I have an old digital Sony cyber DSC-F717 camera. that uses Memory Stick to record photos. Will i be able to upload my photos to a new Imac? ALSO,What is the difference betw. IMac(PPC) and the IMac(intel based)?
How do you get an outside Power Point Presentation, made by Microsoft office to upload into iwork, or keynote, so I can present to a meeting using my ipod remote?
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7), heaps of duplicate pics in iphoto
