OS X :: Won't Upload 700 MB HD To Youtube
Mar 4, 2009I have a very reliable connection, mediacom online broadband and I've been trying to upload this .mov video that's about 700 MB in size and it hasn't been working. I've been leaving my computer on at night and I would wake up with it saying error. I've tried the beta version the regular version it just ends up stopping somewhere and not working anymore. I'm now trying to upload with plugging it into my router via ethernet instead of using wifi if that makes it any faster. I'm getting real tired of trying to upload time after time after time. Is there any freeware that I can use to upload to youtube so it's more reliable? I don't want to make the file smaller and have worse picture so it can upload faster.

Feb 2, 2009I know it has YouTube support, but can you it directly export true HD videos at 720p? I know that it has high-quality settings. And if it doesn't .. is this something that can be changed with a patch or update to iMovie or would it have to wait until iMovie '10?

Mar 2, 2009i have tried everything to get videos uploaded to youtube but nothing works imovie gives me a communication error timeout thin and in safari i use the beta uploader and it crashes safari after ti gets like 5% done and i tried the reg uploader on youtube and it started at 1 and i checked it at4 30 and it still didnt budge or upload idk.

Aug 28, 2009today I updated my system to 10.6.0 which is Snow Leopard. I post videos over on http://youtube.com/xpxvistaxosx and wanted to post an unboxing of Snow Leopard and a couple of other related videos about Snow Leopard. I have one problem, when ever I go to the Youtube upload page the video page just loads and never finishes rendering the web page, It isn't the web browser because I have tried Safari, Firefox and Omniweb and still no luck. I did have Glims for Safari and thought that could have been interfering but all traces of Glims are gone from my computer. Also the cache on all the web browsers have been reset so I really don't know what the problem could me. I really want to upload these videos on to the web and would greatly appreciate any help I could get.

Feb 16, 2010Whenever i upload a video to youtube, it stops about halfway through or part way through and literally STOPS. the progress bar just wont move or change. it is very frustrating. i use a wireless connection, and even when i literally sit right next to the wireless box, the problem occurs, the videos have ranged from 5 mins to 10 mins. it has occured on both safari and firefox.

Jun 26, 2010I have a video from my iPhone playing in Quicktime, i hit the little share button ( on my iMac thru Quicktime ) i enter in all the YouTube info, the status bar goes and it does it things by always hands at the end where it says "waiting for youtube to process video" it can sit there for hours and still nothing will happen?
New i7 iMac, everything is updated...

The tools for altering photos only has a fraction of the tools currently available in Aperture (and even less than available in platforms like Lightroom. There had been hope that with the new iMac Pro that there was going to be a supercharged version of Aperture...but no mention at that role out, nor in today's WWDC.

Jan 16, 2010So i've recently gotten in the uploading to YouTube craze with my Flip Mino HD but i'm not too happy at the way i've been doing this and am hoping there is an easier way.
As of late i've been importing what i film into iMovie. In iMovie i'll edit the video to my liking. In iMovie i'll "export" to the media browser so it'll show up in GarageBand. Then i'll open GarageBand and edit my film further, dealing with sound; adding music. After that i'll export it as a .MOV to my desktop. Then i'll open iMovie again and import that .MOV file and from there in iMovie will have it upload to YouTube in its original HD format.

I need to upload from these discs to a New Project or a New Event in iMovie. I cannot figure a way to upload for editing and produce a finished movie. Oct 4, 2009my dad has Pro Tools 8 (the mbox) and he is wanting to plug it into his Mac Pro,
however it seems there is only one FireWire port on the back of the Mac Pro,
which is currently being used to power a 30" and 23" ACD.
How can this work? is there a firewire splitter, allowing you to use two firewire ports from one?Or anything else you can do, does anyone have any idea's?

Jun 2, 2010As it's a .exe file, only able to be executed using Windows through BootCamp or Parallels, would you be able to run it and overclock gpu/cpu through profile options and have them take effect in Mac OSX or would they only take effect when running Windows on the mac? Trying to find a way to clock my Mac OSX 10.5 2.2ghz 9400 chipset. Have read about it on forums, though i've not read if it will work when just running OSX as I don't regularly use windows.

Jul 24, 2010I am working on a Mac Powerbook with OS 10.5.8. I thought I was confused, but when I use MS Word I could not locate certain functions. I discovered that when I open a new document the TOOL functions (between FONT and TABLE) located on the top of the screen disappears. As soon as I hit the button to open the new document it leaves the screen. It is there before I open the new document. I am not talking about the TOOLBOX. I have no problems with that. TOOLS includes things such as spelling check, creating envelopes etc.

OS X :: Keyboard Remapping - Available Hints / Tools?
Feb 26, 2008I'm new to osx, and need windows for my work too. After playing a few days with the apple keyboard, I exchanged it for my old logitech keyboard. After a few weeks I got used to the Ctrl/Alt/Command key differences, but one think kept bothering me:
- Home / End Keys.
I know I can use Ctrl + Left or Ctrl+Right, to have the same effect as the home/end keys in windows. But I had to disable Spaces, because it also uses those keys. What kind of programs or hints are available to remap such behaviour. I found DoubleCommand, which says it works in Leopard 10.5.2, and it has this one option, but I can't seem to get it working.

Apr 23, 2010Everything. Nothing works. They're all selectable, sure, but the cursor looks like the old Control-Click arrow and they do absolutely nothing. Photoshop CS5. Clearing out all preferences and secondary files doesn't work. Restoring from a once-working Time Machine backup doesn't work.
