Mar 24, 2012I am running iTunes 10.6 on my iMac with OS X Lion. iTunes has worked flawlessly for years. Then yesterday it refused to sync either my iPod Nano or iPod Classic. It quits unexpectedly if you push the "sync" button. I was going to uninstall and reinstall iTunes, but I can't figure out how to uninstall. How to stop this crashing issue?

Safari :: "YouTube" Closes Unexpectedly Every Time
Jun 23, 2012It is Sat 6/23/12 @ 8pm EST and I can't access "You Tube" on Safari or Firefox. They both open on You Tube for 3 seconds and then crash.
(continually) Does this mean there's lot's of traffic on You Tube or is there something I need to do to my computer to make it more efficient?

Jun 13, 2010So my itunes randomly changed colours(it's a really dark grey now, can post ss if needed), lags, and closes itself anytime I try to add a song to it or do anything on it.I've tried reinstalling it many times but have had 0 luck with it. I found a few other similar threads to this one and tried the things listed in them but again had no luck with it so I decided to post my own.
At first when it started happening I had songs on it, whenever I tried to make it go to the next song it would close itself. If I didn't try and pick another song it would randomly close itself after playing for a bit.After reinstalling it would not even let me add songs, anytime I try and select movies, or anything other then the main music thing it closes itself.By the way, it's a macbook OS X version 10.4.11

Mar 25, 2012My Itunes works properly, except for everytime i watch movies and I want to try to go to full-screen modus.My Itunes either closes or there is just a black display with sound. The problem is then cannot exit with esc or apple Q,or even pushing the start-button of my macbook.

OS X :: Preference Sync Client Unexpectedly Quits Every Hour?
Dec 1, 2007After upgrading my MacBook Pro to Leopard I get an alert every single hour that says 'Preference Sync Client' has unexpectedly quit. Searching around Google and the Apple site I can find absolutely no reference for this application/service. I'm assuming it must be an Apple file ... I am wondering if I just need to track down a copy of it and replace mine -- is that safe?
File is located here:/System/Library/CoreServices/PreferenceSyncClient.app/Contents/MacOS/PreferenceSyncClient

ITunes :: Sync Contacts Empty And Sync Mail Accounts Empty/dimmed?
Apr 11, 2012I use iCloud for syning Mail & Notes. Contacts, Calendars and Documents & Data. I am 100% sure that in the past in iTunes/Info tab "Sync contacts" and "Sync Mail Accounts" showed all my different Address Book groups and different email account to be synced. Since recently they seem disappeared and I only see my different Calendars to be synced. Why are both Sync contacts empty and Sync Mail Accounts both emtpy/dimmed. BTW if I check Sync contacts I get a message that they are synced through iCloud etc. etc. Now if I enable on my Mac another email account in Apple Mail it is not added to my iPhone/iPad anymore. How can I change that ?Â

Jun 21, 2009For the past few days, whenever I try to open itunes, a dialogue box pops up and says, "The application iTunes quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple."
I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it using a new dmg, but it still says this. I also tried uninstalling Flip4Mac and taking out the plug-ins from users/*user*/library/itunes/itunes plug-ins.
OS X :: Itunes And Adium Unexpectedly Quit?
Sep 10, 2009I've been having some issues with my itunes AND adium...for some reason they won't launch, they load for a second and then immediately go to the "....quit unexpectedly" message, when I try to send an error report, it fails as well...I feel like I'm being hacked or something... I was wondering if maybe I have too much on my hard drive and that is why my most commonly used applications have suddenly begun to close mid-use. I've never had this problem before and have recently uploaded quite a bit of music/photos to my MacBook, so it seems to be the only logical explanation for it? Or, I don't think I could've gotten a virus because 1. I'm very cautious about the files I download and 2. I don't think Macs are susceptible to most viruses. I could be wrong, though.
Nonetheless, does anyone know of any solution for this?

Apr 1, 2009So here is what I'm trying to do, I've got a 160 gb of music in itunes on my macbook pro, but I need to decrease that number, b/c my I'm running out of hard drive space and my library is only getting larger. I want to have it set up so that I've got my entire library on my external hard drive (1 TB, space is not an issue), and while I'm at home I can access the entire library. However, while I'm out of the house, I'd like to only have about half of my current collection with me on my macbook pro..
I tried to set it up using the 'itunes manage multiple libraries' method, but this didn't transfer any of my ratings or playlists. Then I realized that with having these two libraries completely separate, this will be a re-occurring theme. The playlist and ratings between the two separate libraries in two separate locations, would continue to get more and more askew from each other depending on which library I'm accessing when I import new music, change ratings, or modify playlists...........

Mar 13, 2012I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â
