This process deleted all my current text history, call history, photos, music, ringtones and apps! It replaced all of that data with my old iphone 3G data (data being music, texts, call history, photos, music.) It's like my phone went back in time.. This all happened when I backed my phone up last night. I guess I accidentally backed my phone up to my old stuff. I don't know if I have my iPhone 4 info backed up somewhere..

Im trying to check my contacts and photos recently backed up from my mobile and wanted to know how to access them on the web?
For some reason they don't show up in icloud online.
I use a shared Mac, on which I would like to have also some of my personal iCloud data (reminders, calendars, etc.).A Time Machine backup of this Mac is made on a regular basis, and I want to know if my iCloud data would be saved into the backup drive via Time Machine.
In other words, when I set up an iCloud account on a Mac, does the iCloud data remain on Apple's servers or is it actually downloaded, updated, and saved somewhere locally, and therefore is subject to a Time Machine backup unless it is specifically excluded?
I have personal archive folders that were on my Mac but were not in MobileMe before I transitioned to ICloud. I exported all of them (as .mbox files) to my Mac Desktop. I see no Import function in iCloud mail. I do realize that Smart folders won't work in iCloud, but nearly all of the personal folders are regular folders. Is there a way to get these archives into iCloud mail? I don't want to have to create them all over again and mail every message to myself at my iCloud email address and file all of them to newly created folders.

When iCloud first arrived, I guess I signed up for it using my regular e-mail address. This e-mail address is at my own personal domain. I've had MobileMe and just got rid of it, essentially transferring it over to iCloud. So I now have two iCloud accounts, one set up for my personal e-mail, one with my old MobileMe stuff including my Calendar, Contacts, and Me.com E-mail (which I do use sometimes). What to do? I don't want 2, as it will get so confusing. Any way to combine? Can I get rid of the iCloud account set up to my personal domain email? Also, what about my iTunes Store account, which is set up with personal domin email?

I went out and bought a Drobo and threw 4, 500gb drives in it to host my media and Time Machine back ups for the house. I put that Drobo on my AEBS and share it over my network. It works very nicely.
However, when I go to work, I still want the same performance that I have at the house and afp is not giving me that performance. Choppy video and audio cut-outs are not gonna work. I have my entire iTunes library on the Drobo.
So with portability in mind, I went out and picked up a 500gb WD My Passport drive. Plugged it into my Mac and started copying my iTunes library to the WD. Call me an idiot because I didnt bother to format the drive, I left it at FAT32. I actually did this on purpose because I also want to be able to bring the WD to a friends house or work and share my iTunes library with anyone.
So, I successfully copy over all 200gbs of my iTunes library and change the drive location in iTunes to my new WD. All is well. iTunes is much more responsive as well.
Onto my question, how can I keep a copy of this drive? I buy and upload a lot of music so I can see this being an issue. I would love if Time Machine could somehow do it but it doesnt allow me to back up the drive. Should I just periodically copy and paste the entire drive to my Drobo? I still have a copy of the library on my Drobo for a backup, but I want to keep that copy as current as possible.
I realised a couple of days ago that several of my movies and tv shows that I purchased are no longer downloaded on my computer but are stored on the cloud. Now how do I get a backup on my drobo external disk? I don't want to fall or be without wifi and not being able to watch movies or tv shows.
Music has a download icon next to it, but that is not there for movies and tv shows. I have my itunes folder on my drobo, and want to keep it that way...

My personal iPhone is 64 GB and the work one is 16 GB so the data from my personal iPhone would would not fit on the work iPhone Both are running iOS 7.1.2 and the MBP is 10.9.4

My family shares a large iMac, i have my own personal account with my iTunes account on it. Most of my music that is on my iTunes is downloaded from my personal CDs, so when i sign in on iTunes on my newly bought MacBook Pro, it does not pick it up. I am trying to find a way to transfer my music on my personal iTunes on the family Mac to my new MacBook Pro.

After updating to iTunes 10.6 I can no longer open up Mail, iPhoto, Garage Band, none of my contacts display in Address Book. It is like this new update has broken all the internal links to my libraries. I have an older MacBook running Snow Leopard.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI regularly download my photos and videos from my iPhone to Aperture for storage. In my latest download approximately 100 videos and photos did not download successfully - I get a message "unsupported image format". They were deleted from my phone as the message stated they had downloaded successfully (which they hadn't). I can retrieve the photos via my Photo Stream but how can I retrieve the lost videos?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering if there was some way I could burn my iTunes videos onto a DVD so I can watch them on my TV? These are movies that I purchased from iTunes. I am running OS X 10.62. Any software that can burn DVD's?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been loading my DVD collection onto my Time Capsule HD and watching them streaming through my ATV. However, I was going to try to organize the files better and rename the titles so the movie title came up as more recognizable then how it gets written into iTunes. When I try to rename the title by right clicking the movie then left clicking "get info", I type in the movie name that I want and I then get the dreaded rainbow wheel. I right click my iTunes on the dock and its saying 'application not responding" so I go ahead and "force quit". Of course, when I do this nothing is saved because it has not finished with the 'OK". I tried going to rename them on the TC and then the movies would not play any more. When I have waited for iTunes to finish and ok the name change I could no longer see the film that way either. It would come up with the player and would show the counter like it really is playing but no video or audio.
I really want to put the real names on the movies with what they are, its a little annoying to look at, for instance...the movie American Pie is titled "AMPIEDC_2_Title_1...The movie America's Sweethearts is titled DVD_VIDEO_Title_1.
This is what shows up in iTunes and subsequently on my ATV or home sharing anything which is quite annoying and unless you know that is how the DVD loaded itself you would not really know what the title of the movie is.

View 13 Replies View RelatedHad an issue with my Macbook Pro recently in that it wouldn't start up. A friend got it sorted but when I booted up had to put all my details in and instal all new updates. I didn't lose any of my data from my machine it had all been moved to a Previous Systems folder on the hard drive. No problem, imported everything back to the current folder. Anyway as soon as I tried to watch anything that had been bought through the iTunes store wouldn't work. The screen opens and the timer ticks away like it's playing but no sound and just a grey box.

How to delete all music videos?
I don't watch music videos, at all. I grew out of that when MTV grew out of its value. I want to delete all the music videos that I've ever been forced to accept when I buy music from iTunes. They are many, and I'd prefer to just sort by type and neatly find all the videos.....but I can't.
Storage is cheap, but I just can't let gigs of it be used to store things I don't care about.
