As stated in the thread name, I have problems to add vidoes to iTunes. I converted them to .m4v format using Handbrake. Then I choose "Add file to Library" in iTunes but nothing happens after that.

I don't want the itunes store. I want itunes to find and recognize my own movies folder. I want to import into itunes video content that's already on my imac, so that I can transfer it to the iphone. I tried pressing the apple key + O to add media to the Library.

My sister uploaded videos on youtube of her wedding/holidays etc and I have them on my iTunes (there are about 20 of them!) but in the movie library it all looks a mess! Problem is, now I can't find those concerts on iTunes, I can still view them on the iPod, but I can't find access to them through iTunes to edit info/delete them if I want to. The only view option I get when the video is constrained within iTunes is Full Screen, all other options are greyed out. I don't want all my video automatically resized to max my iTunes window.

I've tried changing 'stores' but I get the usually message "Your Account is only valid to purchase items from the US store".I have read you can make a Canadian account, but was wondering if the Giftcards purchased in the American stores, can be used to top up Canadian Itunes Account.
I never noticed this on my last hp laptop but my new dell almost everything in itunes plays with the audio out of sync with the video. most noticeable on podcasts. my dell is not high end but it has duel core amd 64 4400 chips 2 gigs of ram. running xp. it has a built in nvidia geforce 6150l video card with a built in sound card. it has done this since I got it a month ago. it is not an issue playing dvd's in windows media player. just itunes. any clues?

Programs for simple tasks like uploading music onto devices should be efficently coded, not resource hogs that are incredibly unintuitive and needlessly complicated. Why can't we just drag and drop music and videos directly onto our phone like we can with just about every other media player? I already have all of my music organized just as I want it on my computer. Just let me drag the folders I want directly into the iPhone without having to bother with a 100mb download that runs like crap.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been loading my DVD collection onto my Time Capsule HD and watching them streaming through my ATV. However, I was going to try to organize the files better and rename the titles so the movie title came up as more recognizable then how it gets written into iTunes. When I try to rename the title by right clicking the movie then left clicking "get info", I type in the movie name that I want and I then get the dreaded rainbow wheel. I right click my iTunes on the dock and its saying 'application not responding" so I go ahead and "force quit". Of course, when I do this nothing is saved because it has not finished with the 'OK". I tried going to rename them on the TC and then the movies would not play any more. When I have waited for iTunes to finish and ok the name change I could no longer see the film that way either. It would come up with the player and would show the counter like it really is playing but no video or audio.
I really want to put the real names on the movies with what they are, its a little annoying to look at, for instance...the movie American Pie is titled "AMPIEDC_2_Title_1...The movie America's Sweethearts is titled DVD_VIDEO_Title_1.
This is what shows up in iTunes and subsequently on my ATV or home sharing anything which is quite annoying and unless you know that is how the DVD loaded itself you would not really know what the title of the movie is.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad an issue with my Macbook Pro recently in that it wouldn't start up. A friend got it sorted but when I booted up had to put all my details in and instal all new updates. I didn't lose any of my data from my machine it had all been moved to a Previous Systems folder on the hard drive. No problem, imported everything back to the current folder. Anyway as soon as I tried to watch anything that had been bought through the iTunes store wouldn't work. The screen opens and the timer ticks away like it's playing but no sound and just a grey box.

How to delete all music videos?
I don't watch music videos, at all. I grew out of that when MTV grew out of its value. I want to delete all the music videos that I've ever been forced to accept when I buy music from iTunes. They are many, and I'd prefer to just sort by type and neatly find all the videos.....but I can't.
Storage is cheap, but I just can't let gigs of it be used to store things I don't care about.

How to download SD video's from the ITunes store without making it complicated?
Right now, I am buying HD versions of videos so I can play them to their greatest on the Apple TV. I don't however want the HD version of the video on my iphone, SD is fine and doesn't take up huge amounts of space. Right now, I have to go the ITunes store on my iphone, search for the movie and then scroll to the bottom and click "Available in SD" and then click download.
Surely there has to be an easier way?! I should just be able to go to "Videos" on the iphone, and then download in SD, but it will only do it in HD and I cant afford to have a single file taking up 4gb of space.

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I have found that trying to take screenshots of videos I bought from iTunes won't work. The resulting image is just white and gray squares where the video should be. If I try to do +Shift+3 instead of +Shift, everything shows up, except the area where the video is. Is this a function Apple removed from Snow Leopard? When I tried to take a screenshot of an unprotected video, it worked fine.
