ITunes :: "in-app" Purchase Be Made Without A Password
May 3, 2012
Can a "In-App" purchase be made without entering my account password? My son was reviewing an app and when he left the site he found that a purchase had been made.
My password gets me into the iTunes store... but I can't make a purchase. The system askes for my user name & password, I enter it, and it just asks for the same info... over and over again. My signon & password seem to work for every other Apple site/function I've tested... but not for a purchase from iTunes.
This comes up a lot, usually while installing software. The latest one was while installing an update for Adobe Flash, OSX prompts for my username and password saying that the software needs to make changes. Is there a way to audit what changes have been made after a prompt like this occurs?
I'm basically trying to make a "save as" version of a project so I can change what I have without risk of losing everything I've done. But every time I save a new version of the project (and even rename it, store it on another drive, etc.), the changes I make to the new version are also made to the original.I'm also not getting the popup "duplicate project" window (which should give me a choice of where and how to save the project) I'm supposed to get when I click on "Duplicate Project." How can I simply save a fixed version of my project?Â
I recently bought a new car (a UK Toyota Auris - might be relevent), which has a USB port built-in for playing music from a USB stick.
"Great", I thought. I'd recently just converted all of my CD albums on my business Mac Pro. "Happy days."Â However, when I tried to play any of this music, the car's player would either recognise the album, and song title, but not play the song, or, just not recognise the music at all! "No Track" was the most common response.
Sometimes an album would work! But mostly they didnt'! I took the USB stick, and the DVD backup of all my music, and put them both into my home Windows 7 PC.
I copied the relevent tracks from the backup onto the PC, tried them using iTunes (all worked OK), then copied them onto the USB stick (which I'd re-formatted as FAT32, the format specified by the car's player).
But still the music is not reconised. I tried ripping a couple of CD's again, this time on my home PC using iTunes. STILL nothing worked in the car. I even had the car's player tested, and this checked out OK! I then resorted to trying Media Player 12 to rip a few albums. And these worked! I tried a few more. Still working!Â
Can anyone suggest to me why the iTunes ripped albums (either Mac or PC) refuse to be recognised by the car's player? And whether there might be a work-around, so that I could use the thousands of MP3s I've already made on my Mac without having to resort to re-ripping them all again on the PC?Â
I just went through the process of buying an app as a gift to be delivered via email. Typed my personal message to the recipient, confirmed the delivery address. Got the review screen. Then when I clocked to purchase the app, I got a security screen asking me to select 3 security questions and an alternate email address. Got immediate emails from Apple noting the changes to my account. But I never got an email confirming the gift purchase. How do I tell if it went through? The item is not listed in my purchases, but maybe that's by design?  Did the security question dialog hijack the purchase process?Â
(Also checked my credit card website, and it doesn't look like there's a pending charge yet. But I'd hate to purchase this app twice.)
I made a song in Cubase. I put it in my itunes library. When I sync my phone it says I don't have permission to sync my song. Problem noticed with iphone4s, using 6plus now, osx 10.6.8, itunes 100% up to date. It makes me laugh it's so ridiculous.
have just purchased an I-Pad and downloaded Pages from I-Tunes account onto my MacBook Pro, with the intention of syncing documents between the Macbook and my I-Pad via the Cloud... however, without noticing it at the time, I must have had a different user ID when I first registered in I-Tunes a couple of years ago [on the Macbook pro].When I bought my I-Pad a few weeks ago, I registered in the Cloud with a nice shiny new ID and now, of course, when I want to download the Pages App I've just purchased on from the MacBook onto my I-Pad, it won't recognise on the I-Pad interface that I've already bought it [under my old ID].
I ordered "The Pianist" in HD then when I clicked purchase, two versions of the movie are being downloaded. I wanted to know if it is possible to cancel the Non-HD one since I did not want to purchase that and I do not see the purpose of buying two versions of the same movie. Â
we lost an Ipod touch and someone tried to purchase from itunes. question is can apple see which device the attemped purchase came from. and from what IP address. to try to find the device were not running cloud so that isnt an option. trying to figue out if it went through my wifi which would narrow down the location
I've been looking for songs for a wedding. However, the song is so old, it can only be bought from the U.S. May I know how to do so when resides in Singapore?
I nearly purchased and downloaded James Cameron's Aliens, when I noticed below the purchase buttons the note that This movie will not be available from iTunes in the Cloud. Why? Isn't that point of a digital copy? I could just as easily buy a used DVD cheaper and rip it. The film is still for sale in the iTunes store, why could I not get it in the Cloud? Does this also mean I can't download it again if it's deleted?
I'm running iTunes 10.6.1 and Configurator 1.0.1. I just purchased 32 copies of an app for one of our school iPad carts. The last time I did this I made the purchase, ran iTunes, input the first app code, and downloaded the app.
Now when I input the code for a new app, it begins to download 32 copies of the the last app I bought, which was iMovie. I can cancel all of the downloads, but when I go in to add a another new app, it then starts to download 64 apps: 32 copies of iMovie and 32 copies of the app I just installed.Â
New computer new problems.. Videos purches in itunes will not play, the audio plays but no video. the same film will play with same display on apple tv just fine.
I obtained a song Banjo from iTunes. Now I want to remove it permanently from iTunes so it will not sync with my iPad or iPhone. I have removed the item from my Music Library and my iTunes Media on my Mac. Then I synch my iPad and then the song reappears in iTunes. I would like to remove the song from iTunes and the iPad and IPhone PERMANENTLY.
Is there a way to get your full iTunes purchase history from Apple? Things randomly stop showing up in our play lists. We've been using iTunes for years. We have numerous devices and teenagers making purchases. It is next to impossible to determine something is missing and to troubleshoot.
I'm on my 14th email to iTunes support and after 14 days of not being able to log into my iTunes account, I'm getting a bit desperate. Every time I log in, I'm redirected to the login screen that asks for my account name and password. I've reset my password 4x and Apple has done it twice. Still no change. I'm not getting any response that my password is wrong and I'm allowed to fill in my credentials as many times as I want. It's just redirecting me to the login screen and asking me again. If I log out and back in, it tells me after login that I need to press "ok" to verify my account information, after which it redirects me to... the login screen.Â
Why I cannot purchase videos with an English subtitles? I always stuck on movies which I want see on my iPad there are not much an English subtitles for Hard of Hearing and Deaf people?
When I transfer. I get told that 75 songs can't be do to an unauthirized computer. When I authorize the computer I get told it's already authorized. I repeated that sequence 3 times. no change.
