View 2 Replies View RelatedCan someone please help me figure out why it is that iTunes is now requiring that I enter my iTunes password seemingly every day for any new purchases I make, even though I've checked the checkbox to "remember password". I can't be sure but this behavior either started happening when I upgraded to Snow Leopard, or when I upgraded iTunes to version 9. I know this must have been addressed on these forums somewhere, but I wasn't able to come up with any thing meaningful when I did some searching for the answer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know why but a recently I've been asked to enter my icloud password related to my iCloud e-Mail address. stupidly, I've forgot what my password is. is there a chance to reset it somehow?Â
To explain the situation a bit better and what I've tried already, here a short discription of the situation:Â
- I do have a appleID that is called firstname.lastname@gmail.com the related password is appleID_Password1.
with this combination I also conduct my purchases in iTunes and the AppStore. But to rule this possibility already out: It doesn't let me access my iCloud eMail account in Apple Mail. Funny enough, though, when visiting iCloud.com this is the combination with which I log onto iCloud incl it's mail service within the web browser.Â
- the iCloud eMail address for whose password I am looking is called something like abcde@me.com. I have implemented it into my Apple Mail program running on Mac OS X Lion. Since setting up the account i've never ever been asked to enter my password. But now, out of a sudden, I was. And, of course, I couldn't remember it anymore. Hence, I don't receive any eMails sent to abcde@me.com anymore on my mac.Â
Can somebody tell me how to fix it, if it is not the password for my appleID??

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new Mac and had to deauthorize all computers in itunes because I had over 5. I authorized the current 2 computers but when I go to play some older music in itunes I get a pop up to authorize the computer with my old itunes account which hasn't been used for over 6-7 years. I have no clue as to what the password was and the e-mail on the account id is no longer valid. how to get access to this account or merge to my current account.

View 4 Replies View RelatedUsing the calculator in OS X, enter "-2/3", (minus two divided by three). What do you get?
My calculator reports that answer as 0.666. (Positive NOT negative which is the correct answer). Is anyone else having the same problem? The calculator is giving out wrong answers! I have calculator version 4.2 running on 10.5.8.
ive been having this problem for over a week now and i cant seem to find an answer on how to fix it.i recently downloaded a file which had some vsts in it(demo's)i installed them but ever since then i cant get past the initial desktop screen on my macbook pro.(you know just before your icons pop up on the desktop screen)
i keep getting the spinning wheel.
now ive tried every command under the sun to rectify this but its not working.its been suggested to me that i should boot from my install disk but after moving countries i lost it.i did happen to get a mac osx disk from a friend of mine but this only lets me get into a sreen where i can perform actions in disk utility and a few other irrelevant actions.i know what file has done this and i just want to be able to get into my harddrive and delete it.i was also under the impression that if i had a copy of osx i could boot from it.this to me meant that i could use my computer normally but bypass the internal startup but maybe im wrong in assuming that.
im at my wits end and very close to bringing it into a shop where ill more than likely be charged to have them do something i feel might be a simple fix.
I want to buy something on the APP Store but the store ask me the security questions. I just cannot remember the correct answers. Is there any way I can reset them?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got a letter from apple that my apple ID birthdate/security questions & answers had been changed. I think this was because of a previous letter that told me I had to update my account with the new security features, but I don't recall.Â
Anyway, I decided to check on the appleID site, got logged in, changed my password successfully, but I couldn't see how to change the security questions or answers - and the answers I did try submitting weren't accepted.Â
So now I'm stuck: my account is OK, my password is OK, but I can't remember the security answers and can't see how to change them.Â

Was updating some iOS apps, when the App Store (assuming it was the app store), requested my password a second time, and then proceeded to request security questions and answers..It looked like pushing, and since I'd not heard of Apple instituting this procedure I elected not to input the information.Feedback submitted to Apple on this..

I just got my MBP yesterday, and so far it's been incredibly frustrating. Trying to download Firefox, 3 separate times, I get "image corrupted" errors when I try to open the .dmg. This is probably the 10th+ time it's happened today errors ranging from "invalid checksum" (from Facetime, downloaded from Apple), to "error -199". Any ideas what's going on? The same things appear to be just find on my Mac Pro, and they're running the same software. Already ran verify/repair disk multiple times.
