I manage multiple iPads here at my school and had a question about iTunes backup. We want to have multiple backups from the past for each device so that we can restore the device from an old backup if something goes wrong. We have over 180 iPads so I need something quick and automated. We are also using a Mac Server if that helps any.

I decided to reorganize my iTunes library and delete all my songs to only re-add the stuff i listen to. Well all were deleted but two songs that refuse to go away. I select them both and hit delete or right click and then select delete from the menu but nothing, they are still there.

I know that I need to go to itunes and uncheck all of the songs from the "music" tab under where I see my iphone as a device, but it's still not working. I went on other discussion boards on here and read that I should try to uncheck the box to manually manage music and then try to uncheck them again, but now I have my entire itunes library on my phone, even though I unchecked all of the boxes of music that I don't want.

I listen to a lot of different types of stuff on my iPhone. One of my favorites has always been audiobooks. Lots of little 5 minute 'songs' that would play in order. It USED to be easy: listen to files in order, then delete them from iTunes as I go along, the next time I charged my phone, boom, all the stuff I was done with was gone. Bookmarking and file management took care of itself. All I had to do was keep my iTunes library neat and orderly.
No more. Now I have to screw around in the phone itself to do anything. This is obtuse and difficult since the larger keyboard and mouse are much easer to use than the tiny touch pad. But, it no longer seems to work.
Is this a feature I can somehow get back or is this part of the new apple scheme of things?
I bought songs on iTunes previously that i would like to not even show up on my iPad. I would like to keep the songs i listen to, but not the ones i want to. Is there a way to do this, and how?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi want to delete songs from my itunes library but want to be able to put them back on if i ever want them again. i have an external hard drive and i have like synced them or whatever is that enough?
View 1 Replies View Relateditunes has decided to go all wierd on me and started playing some of my songs but not playing others. When i try to play one that will not play i get the apple logo on the top of the screen where the amount of time your into the song is normally shown and no matter how many times i press play nothing happens.
Also the songs that won't play all are coming from the same folder and when i delete them and try to add them to the library nothing happens and they aren't added. When i try to play the songs from that folder using a program other than itunes the songs play fine.
I want to copy some educational audiobooks and songs for my child, but don't want he can delete it directly from iphone with simple whisk.I can't do it through parent control, alternatively players also all works with iPhone library, so if you delete something, it'll vanish everywhere in others iPhone player apps.

I have two computers and I would like to have my iTunes library on both. How do I download all my songs from iCloud without having to click on each one?
View 3 Replies View RelatedBasically somehow my iTunes got jacked up.. just the music part of it.. Anyway, they are all songs from my CDs or mp3's, but just as a failsafe, I would like to backup my entire iTunes library to my external hdd.
I would then like to delete all the songs from my iTunes, and from my iPhone. *edit* figure'd out how to remove all the songs from my iphone.. just unchecked all songs and sync'd.. now I just need to backup itunes and delete everything from it, then reput what I want back into itunes and resync.. sweet
After which, I would like to rebuild my iTunes library using my mp3's and CD's and basically start from scratch.. so that this time around I can properly name songs/albums/artwork/etc
Then I want to take this new iTunes library, and fill my iPhone back up with my new Library in Itunes..
so basically I just want to backup my itunes just incase for some reason I cannot find a particular CD or mp3 in my collection.
Just for the record, I am using a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard 10.6.2, and I have an iPhone 3GS 32GB running the latest 3.1.2 firmware (jailbroken using blackra1n rc3)

My computer says that the storage disk is almost full, and when I looked at my storage information it says I have too many movies. So I went back into iTunes and I try to delete my movies (which are all under iCloud) and they aren't removed from my computer nor does space clear on my computer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a pro musician with a large archive of personal music, nearly 60Gb, and didn't expect iCloud to try to upload the whole lot! So iTunes keeps crashing when trying to "Match". I just want a single Playlist with a few selected items to be available to Apple TV so how do I change things? As a result of trying to find a way into iCloud to amend things I started a process that threatened to erase all my Address Book and Calendar data and couldn't easily stop it - kept going round in circles! Lost all Calendar data on my computer so had to restore from Time Machine - how do I cancel that part of iCloud?
