Feb 26, 2012I am in some sort of weird loop and cannot actually delete songs I purchased from the iTunes store.Â
1. I purchased the song on my iPhone
2. It automatically got downloaded to my iTunes on my Mac
3. I decided I don't want the song - I hit delete - it asks me to confirm if I want to delete from iCloud as well - I say yes - it asks me if I want to move the file to the trash - I say yes - and it temporarily disappears
4. Next time I sync my phone, it shows up again. No way to delete it directly from phone.Â
What's strange is shouldn't it delete it on my phone since I'm deleting it from iTunes before I sync?
I am scared to buy new songs now as I don't want to be stuck with them forever in case I don't like them..

One is to remove the song from my library and the other is delete the song from my computer permanently. I would like to delte the song from my computer, but the only option is "are you sure you want to remove the song from your itunes library"
I'm using a pc and have left my songs in their original location and have not imported them into itunes folder.

I copy "Classical Chillout" compilation album to itunes. 30 songs show up, each with their own (new) artist name, song name, and all within the album "Classical Chillout.
Instead of having:
SONG Adagio for Strings
ARTIST Samuel Barber
ALBUM Classical Chillout
I want to batch rename all songs so that the Album name becomes the Artist and each "Artist" name is inserted into the "Song" name

Dec 11, 2008I have a decent size music library(40+gig) on my late MB and i find that iTunes is slow to load when I open it and sometimes when im clicking around songs there is a half second pause before the song is highlighted and then starts to play. Since the program is pulling the info off the HD im thinking that if i got a higher capacity 7200 rpm drive that this would help (currently my stock 150gig only has 50gigs left) with this stutter or would upgrading to 4gig ram?

Apr 6, 2012I replaced an older lesser quality mp3 with a higher quality version by replacing the original file. I've done this hundreds of times without a problem. I'm using 10.6.1, and when I replaced a song in this manner yesterday, I am unable to click on the end of the timeline of the song. It will only advance to the :35 second mark left in the song. Fast forwarding through the song also stops at the same point. It refuses to advance beyond that :35 left mark except by letting it play normally. I know the new file advances fine in iTunes if I drag it into iTunes and create a duplicate version.Is there some metadata from the old file that is causing iTunes to think the new file ends early because it is a few megs larger? Can this be cleared by a method other than reimporing the song new? I'd like to keep the Date Added, Ratings, and Play count info.

Apr 11, 2012I downloaded a bunch of songs the other day and now realize one of the songs was the wrong version (wanted w/lyrics, got w/o). I KNOW I've done similiar before (downloaded dirty version, wanted clean) and I was able to click some where on something and get a credit for the incorrect song. I can't find it again. Does anyone know how I can "return" the song and get my money back??

Sep 10, 2010My itunes is not playing songs properly since I upgraded to itunes 10.
It played all songs fine before but since to upgrade the songs are jumping like they would if they were a scratched CD. The songs play fine coming from my ipod and my iphone. It's driving me crazy and I cant use my itunes anymore because of it.
I have no idea why this is happening or HOW I can fix it as I am a bit of a technotard.
