I have iTunes 9.0.2 and when I first upgraded to 9 I was able to view my Homescreen from the Applications tab and rearrange my apps. Lately all I've been seeing in the Applications tab is a list of my apps with check/uncheck marks next to them. The Homescreen view that should be right next to that is simply not there. Any ideas on what to do (besides reinstalling iTunes)?

Select Shuffle Mode. Pause your music, or make sure nothing is playing, then go to Minimize view.
Now hit FFW or REV. What appears in the track info box? Nothing, right? iTunes doesn't show you what song it has shuffled to. It only works if you are playing, not in pause.
Surely this is wrong? Sometimes you want to select song before playing it, right? This works fine on my Ipod. Everyone else have this problem?
Earlier tonight I opened iCal, only to find that none of my calendars were there. it was completely empty. However, when I changed the view from "Week" to "Month" all of my events were listed (in the proper color) on the appropriate day, but I still had no list of calendars on the left. Subsequent changes between "Day" "Week" and "Month" view continued to display the events properly, but nothing showed up in the calendar menu on the left.
I repaired permissions same thing happened.I trashed com.apple.ical pref (forgot the exact filename)�same behavior. I use .mac to sync between computers, and I use Missing Sync to sync to a Palm T|X.
I listen to and watch a lot of podcasts. Quite often, after I am done listening to a Audio Podcast I will watch a video podcast. Some times it gets stuck and won't play the video but plays audio fine. Anyone else have this problem?

When I tried to view one of the movies, quicktime opened with this message: "QuickTime Player is not authorized to play “Clara's Heart.m4v”. In order to play this content, please open it with iTunes" So, I tried to open with iTunes, and discovered that I couldn't.

View 15 Replies View RelatedAbout 3 weeks ago, I went out of town for a week then came back. When I started up my PPC G5 iMac, I went to open Safari....but it disappeared. The icon was still in the dock, but when I clicked on it, a translucent "?" showed up over it. I tried a Spotlight search for it, and nothing came up. Same thing happened with Preview. I thought my Aunt who was staying over didn't know how to use the Mac and might have accidentally deleted them, so I used Pacifist to reinstall Safari and Preview from the Leopard disc. No big deal.
Then today, I fire up Word, but same thing! Word disappeared! Same with Excel. No matter, reinstalled from the disc. After a couple of hours, I'm back again and this time I want to use Roxio Toast....gone. And this time, I don't have any install disc (lost it during moving). And I know my Aunt can't be responsible for Toast or Word disappearing, since she left yesterday afternoon; mom was using Word on my computer and I used Toast no more than 5 days ago.
So anyone have any clue what the heck is going on with my applications literally deleting themselves?
I have a security camera system at work & i need to pull video from it and view it on my MBP. The file it gives me when I output from the machine is an .arv, (which I have never heard of) but I cannot seem to find software (preferably freeware?) to read it. The system gives me a viewer ("DVR Viewer"), but it is an .exe, so it won't run on my system.

When the doc disappears from the bottom of my desktop I cannot downsize anything until it reappears. Very frustrating! I tried to find something in system preferences but couldn�t. I'm running Parallels with a Ubuntu VM to test my new NAS computer, but I can't seem to view the Ubuntu services with other computers on my network. Is there a setting or something that I can change that enables Parallels to share services across the network? Right now I'm limited to seeing services from Ubuntu with OS X on my MacBook running the VM.

Recently, my email from my IMAC starting asking me for my Password. It won't accept my PW however, I can go to Icloud and check my email that way (with same password info). Does anyone have any ideas of how I can resolve as I would prefer to check email from the Mail icon on my homescreen???

His had three columns that filled the top half with like artist, genre, album. And then the bottom half had the selection of whatever was highlighted on the top half.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone have any idea why iTunes 9.2 doesn't seem to wan to remember my view settings for that I've configured for each of the various sections of iTunes (i.e. Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, etc.)?
If I switch to my Apps section, I've noticed that it consistently shows me my list of apps in 'List View' which I hate. If I switch it to Icon View, then go about normal use of iTunes for a while (browse other sections, perhaps sync my iDevice, perhaps quit the app and re-open later to listen to music, etc...), upon returning to the Apps section, it will once again show me my Apps in 'List View'.
This is just one example, but it would seem that all of the view settings across the board are simply not how I had previously set them up, and changing them to the way I would like them to be setup only works temporarily (as everything strangely gets switched back again in the near future).
I have a massive iTunes library. I also know that I have used many iTunes store accounts, is there a way to see what accounts my iMac is authorized to play?
I do not have access to some of them any more and I want to reset the password and update each one to a newer email and write everything down somewhere.
I keep iTunes open and running at all times and haven't noticed any issues all day today. I just went into it to play a track and when I opened the album from grid view, the tracks seem to be invisible. I can click on them and play them,If I view in List or Cover Flow views, tracks show up fine. It's only Grid view that has problems. While it does show the grid of album art correctly, it's just when opening an album that a problem occurs. And I've confirmed that it's only in music albums, both in the main library and playlists, but not so in the Grid view of TV Shows; that functions properly and shows episodes when opened.
View 8 Replies View RelatedA couple of days ago I bought a new album off the iTunes Store. No issues were noted with the download but when I display the Music or Purchased lists of media in the Group View then iTunes displays the tracks like they are from separate albums. The tracks are part of a compilation album ("Eddie Halliwell Presents Fire It Up") but they should all be displayed as items of the same album as a list of tracks beside the album artwork.
I've attached to this post a screenshot of part of what I see, which shows a normal album at the top and a few of the fragmented tracks from the new album below. The Group View has been sorted by Album.
I have a batch of HD video downloads in my iTunes Store queue that I can't delete. Before it was annoying, having to purchase both the regular video and HD video, then delete the unwanted HD download from my queue list, but now it's a problem. I can't empty the unwanted HD downloads, and for me to download them all will tie up my connection for a week or more.

I'm really not sure if this is some stupid thing I'm missing, but I've never been able to choose 'Fan' view for any of my stacks, I only have List or Grid! I've tried it for all different sized folders, and I can't think why it's not there.

I have to add them, and then completely close out the IM and sign back on for it to begin showing their messages. How can I change this?
Happens with both my MBP and my MBA. Only about half of the google images (or pics anywhere for that matter) show up; the other half appear as question marks unless I right click and copy/paste the image address into the address bar of the browser.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI seam to have a problem with viewing thumbnails in Safari that has got me stumped.
When there is an attached thumbnail in a thread it won't open. Example, in the "Strange Snow Leopard menu" there is thumbnails which I can't see in Safari but I can see them if I use Firefox.
I have looked through the Safari settings but I can't find anything that says "click this too see thumbnails you idiot " anywhere.
One other thing that may be related, sometimes pictures don't show up and a little blue box with a question mark sits in there place.
Anybody off any help to this idiot or should I just revert back too Firefox?
iPhoto is corrupting my pictures after I edit them & I am not able to view the picture, in full screen mode & also find the original file. I am getting scared of this because my entire photo library is on iphoto & i don't have any backups. I know that's silly & I am going to create a back up now. But in the meanwhile, please help with this.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI am unable to view or download bank statements from our bank online using Safari. Also tried Firefox and it didn't work. Also unable to view, open, or download any other type of PDFs on my iMac since removing the hard drive, replacing it with a new one, and reinstalling OS X Lion 10.7.4. I didn't notice this problem until after installing the recent Updates for Safari 5.1.7 and OS X Lion 10.7.4, so I don't know if it could have anything to do with them or not. I am still in the process of reinstalling programs, but everything else seems to be working fine since the switch to the new hard drive except for not being able to view PDFs.
