ITunes :: Cannot Locate Purchased Ringtones On IPhone 4
Apr 8, 2012
I have upgraded my iphone. I have successfully brought in all of my previous music and video downloaded from the cloud as well as contacts etc.; however, I am unable to do the same with my ringtones. I have tried searching under 'purchased" and nothing shows up. I have even tried from my itunes on my computer and still nothing.
I have purchased several ringtones using my iphone 4 and they do not appear in my itunes account in the purchased section. I had to plug into a different computer than I usually do to charge my phone and all of my ringtones are now gone. Do I have to repurchase tones?
I purchased new ringtones from my iPhone 6+ and they don't show up on my phone. I connected the phone to iTunes in attempt to transfer the purchases to my computer. These are the screens that appear.
This first screen shows all of the tones that I have purchased. Some have already synced to my phone from previous purchases. I then selected a ringtone then "ADD TO" button - see next screen..This screen allows me to view what's in my library and those I've purchased. See next screenWhen I add to library, the system does not let me complete the request (next screen)I get this next screen and am stuck.
Sync'd my iPhone with iTunes on my mac and lost all imported ringtones. I go to reset the alarm ringtone for example and cannot find any of my imported ringtones. My default imported ringtone for the phone still shows, but if I go to edit it, none of my imported ringtones show up as options. This has happened since the last s/w update for my iPhone (didn't happen before)...
I'm trying to upgrade my iPad one to the 5OS. When I try to sync a message comes up that says you haven't uploaded your purchased songs to your iTunes library. I don't want to lose any tunes so how do I find my purchased songs and sync with my library? I thought every time I synced that they go to my library automatically .
I just attempted to update my iPhone to IOS 5.1, but before the update started I got this message: "There are purchased items on the iPhone “Charles Bond’s iPhone” that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. You should transfer these items to your iTunes library before updating this iPhone. Are you sure you want to continue?"
I don't understand this message. I thought that if I bought a song or an app from my iPhone it would be brought to iTunes on my MacBook when I did a synch, or direclty from the store. How would I identify what items the message is referring to, and how would I add them to my library?
I recently bought an album via iTunes Music Store on my iPhone 4S, but I can't seem to figure out why it isn't syncing to my iTunes account on my computer. I am not using iTunes Match cloud or anything. This was happening even with automatic downloads set on iTunes, but I have since turned it off because I have bandwidth limits for my satellite Internet. One of the reasons I bought the album on my iPhone was so I could download it at a public WiFi.
All of my music purchased from iTunes is gone from my iPhone. When I open the app the page is blank. On my iPad I can open the app and see the music but cannot play anything or go to another page. All other apps and Internet work fine including iTunes Store. I have the latest updates. I want my music where did my songs go?
I purchased a song from the iTunes Store on my iPhone and wanted to sync it to my Mac. But it doesn't. I found out that its size is not there, but it is a "stream" (if I open the list in iTunes with all my songs on my iPhone), but it isn't! Any ideas what I can do now? I don't want to purchase the same song again to have it on my Mac and iPad.

A friend gifted an album to me. I entered the code and have downloaded the songs to my iphone. I signed in to the same account on my MBP but the songs are not appearing in the iTunes purchased list.
I purchased a song on my iPhone (iOS 8.1.1) and then later purchased the rest of the album. When I go then to my MacBook and open the album in iTunes (12.0.1.26) on Yosemite, for some reason at least half of the tracks aren't there. When I went to the iTunes store to try and re-download them to my iTunes, it told me that I'd already purchased them, yet it gave me no option to download anywhere that I could see. Is there an option somewhere within iTunes that I'm missing or is this a lost cause?
I just got a new Macbook and i'm trying to transfer music I already have on my iPhone 4 from the phone to the laptop... Shouldn't it already be in my purchased folder?
I just purchased 3 audiobooks through iTunes to listen to on my iPhone 3GS (plenty of free memory). When viewing "books" in my Library in iTunes on my Mac, it shows the 3 books I successfully purchased on my Mac. However, when I sync my phone to my Mac, my purchased audiobooks are not syncing nor showing up no matter what I do. All my songs/music purchased always syncs perfectly, and I have everything checked in iTunes to sync properly for audiobooks: sync "audiobooks" is checked (only book showing up on iPhone is one I purchased on my iPhone so it downloaded directly there from iTunes), "purchased" & "audiobooks" playlist checked, etc. I bought these audiobooks directly through iTunes and they downloaded to my iTunes on my Mac properly, but just will NOT sync over to my iPhone for me to listen to them!
I have updated my iPhone 5 to the 8.1.1 iOS, and am trying to clear space by removing songs from my phone. When I open my iTunes, it registers there are 243 songs on my phone, but when I open the music app on my phone there are 268 songs showing. So I can't delete the songs via my iTunes on my Macbook. Apple support first told me to turn off "Show All Music" under the Music tab in Settings, which I did. Then he told me to hold my finger over the song and "swipe left" to get the delete option. This works for any other song on my phone except for the ones that were iTunes purchases, including this just average U2 album that magically deposited itself as well. Do not know of any other way to remove songs from my phone. Possibly restoring the phone to original settings? I don't really want to do that.
Just got a new applie mac computer, i am syncing my iphone for the first time on it and im worried i will lose all the "purchased" songs on my iphone, with which i will have to re-purchase them all over again.
Recently purchased music and video appears in Purchased playlist, but not in Library. Tried reboot, toggling Match, Genius and Store on/off, now running out of ideas.

Having downloaded ringtones onto my phone I can actually use them as I cant transfer them over to the settings section of my phone. I have tried synching it with my Mac but ringtones does not dome up as an option in my library on iTunes.
I'm running 10.7.3 and locate my iPhone cannot locate my iMac when everything is checked?, i'm running 10.7.3 and locate my iPhone cannot locate my iMac when everything is checked?
I can't get Find my iPhone to locate my MBP 7,1, 2.4gHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB DDR3 Ram, 500GB hard drive with Lion 10.7.4. I tried turning off and on iCloud's Find my iPhone and re-installed the 10.7.4 service pack again. Both iCloud.com and the app doesn't locate my MBP.

I'm so confused by iTunes 9. I can't figure out how to a) identify songs which are eligible for ringtones (remember the little bell column that used to designate ringtone availability) and b) how to create the ringtone once I choose a song.
I have been able to pass my music from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 and iPad 2 but I cant figure out how to pass a ringtone I purchase on my iphone4 to my other iPhone4.
