Mar 13, 2012I purchased a song from the iTunes Store on my iPhone and wanted to sync it to my Mac. But it doesn't. I found out that its size is not there, but it is a "stream" (if I open the list in iTunes with all my songs on my iPhone), but it isn't! Any ideas what I can do now? I don't want to purchase the same song again to have it on my Mac and iPad.

ITunes :: Purchased Audiobook, Won't Show Up On IPhone After Syncing
Jun 4, 2012I just purchased 3 audiobooks through iTunes to listen to on my iPhone 3GS (plenty of free memory). When viewing "books" in my Library in iTunes on my Mac, it shows the 3 books I successfully purchased on my Mac. However, when I sync my phone to my Mac, my purchased audiobooks are not syncing nor showing up no matter what I do. All my songs/music purchased always syncs perfectly, and I have everything checked in iTunes to sync properly for audiobooks: sync "audiobooks" is checked (only book showing up on iPhone is one I purchased on my iPhone so it downloaded directly there from iTunes), "purchased" & "audiobooks" playlist checked, etc. I bought these audiobooks directly through iTunes and they downloaded to my iTunes on my Mac properly, but just will NOT sync over to my iPhone for me to listen to them!

Jul 2, 2012I have purchased many apps in the last year or two with my iphone using apple apps but when I try to find those apps for downloading to my macbook air, they're not there. It makes it seem as if I need to repurchase them again using the same account. Is there something I need to do to find them?

Jun 2, 2014After updating my itunes to the latest version [11.2.1 (1)], i keep getting this pop-up window (the obscured gibberish is my email address):
Not only is it annoying and locks me from using itunes until i hit the 'sync' button, it also prevents me from updating podcasts. it just keeps popping up over and over.
Everything in the "Authorize this Computer..." menu checks out and i've only had my one account on this computer and iphone. everything has been fine until the software update.

Aug 25, 2014The MacBook Pro that I have used for iTunes crashed yesterday, fortunately I have a Time Machine backup. I was informed that it was unlikely that I could repair the system given its age. With that understanding I began to restore my files etc onto our iMac system. I used the Data Migration tool and copied everything across.
For my music in iTunes I simply downloaded all of the songs from the cloud to the new system. All is well there. However I do not see any of the Apps that I have purchased previously on my older system. I was able to locate them on the Time Machine backup and I copied them to the following folder: Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Apps. When I restart iTunes they are not present in the Apps folder. How I can get iTunes to recognize these Apps or is there a way download purchased Apps from the iTunes store? I had the latest version of Mavericks installed

May 10, 2012When you sync your iPhone you sometimes get the following message:
Itunes has found purchased items on the iphone thats arenot present in your itunes library.
There are two reasons for this:
1. I have deleted apps in iTunes that I don't want, but not on the iPhone. I don't want to transfer the apps back to iTunes because I want them gone.
2. I have bought apps on the iPhone that I do want to keep. I want these transferred to iTunes.
So if I have both types 1 and 2 then there is no good answer. Preferably iTunes should offer to sync and choose which apps to transfer and what not to transfer. Is there a way to change this behaviour? By the time I sync I don't know what I've done so I'm usually not sure how to answer the question. Sometimes I like to bulk delete apps in iTunes--it is easier than doing it on the iPhone.

You should transfer these items to your iTunes library before updating this iPhone. Are you sure you want to continue?"
I don't understand this message. I thought that if I bought a song or an app from my iPhone it would be brought to iTunes on my MacBook when I did a synch, or direclty from the store. How would I identify what items the message is referring to, and how would I add them to my library?

I am not using iTunes Match cloud or anything. This was happening even with automatic downloads set on iTunes, but I have since turned it off because I have bandwidth limits for my satellite Internet. One of the reasons I bought the album on my iPhone was so I could download it at a public WiFi.

I purchased two (AgingBooth & FatBooth), but the suffixes(?) are .ipa - not something my computer will open. I assume these downloads were intended for iPhone or iPad, but I thought I had selected for Mac Apps. Perhaps I would have to buy them from the App Store instead, but I just wanted to know so I did not make the same mistake in the future.

Mar 23, 2012So yesterday, after a good experience with iCloud backup and sync I decided to delete all my apps from iTunes library. I saved nearly 50GB (!). I decided to not sync apps from my iPad and iPhone to iTunes, so I unmarked that option on every device when connected to itunes. I only want to keep syncing TV Shows, Movies, Books and Photos from Aperture library.The problem is that every time I sync my device with iTunes, iTunes starts downloading apps from my iDevices (but not all of them). I've also turned off automatic downloading in iTunes/Preferences/Store, tried to sync via cable, wifi.

Dec 4, 2014I purchased a song on my iPhone (iOS 8.1.1) and then later purchased the rest of the album. When I go then to my MacBook and open the album in iTunes (12.0.1.26) on Yosemite, for some reason at least half of the tracks aren't there. When I went to the iTunes store to try and re-download them to my iTunes, it told me that I'd already purchased them, yet it gave me no option to download anywhere that I could see. Is there an option somewhere within iTunes that I'm missing or is this a lost cause?

Mar 25, 2010I purchased a couple TV shows on my iPhone, and they synced to my Mac.
I watched them on my Mac, and deleted them off my iPhone to save space, given their size. I also do NOT have the "sync new TV shows" box checked.
Yet, the shows keep re-syncing and loading onto my iPhone every time I sync. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that I purchased them on my iPhone. But how do I make this stop?

Feb 19, 2012My laptop got stolen a few weeks ago, i've replaced it with a new MBP, and fortunatley I done a full backup at xmas time, so my computer is just like it was on the 23rd of December 2011. However, my iphone has a ton of new photos, music and playlists on it since that date.
Now I want to keep all these tracks, playlists and photos, but i don't no how to go about it.
If i plug it in to the MBP now, won't itunes back sync and delete all the new stuff?

My default imported ringtone for the phone still shows, but if I go to edit it, none of my imported ringtones show up as options.
