I guess I'm just an old f*rt, but I have alot of trouble navigating my way around iTunes and the App Store.I have alot of old apps that I simply want to dump into the dumpster and be rid of forever.I cannot seem to find a way to permanently delete an app and have it go away forever.

So yesterday, after a good experience with iCloud backup and sync I decided to delete all my apps from iTunes library. I saved nearly 50GB (!). I decided to not sync apps from my iPad and iPhone to iTunes, so I unmarked that option on every device when connected to itunes. I only want to keep syncing TV Shows, Movies, Books and Photos from Aperture library. The problem is that every time I sync my device with iTunes, iTunes starts downloading apps from my iDevices (but not all of them). I've also turned off automatic downloading in iTunes/Preferences/Store, tried to sync via cable, wifi.

Under purchases I'm getting "you have not purchased any apps." Under Itunes in the Cloud all my apps are listed as hidden but when I click "view hidden purchases" it says I do not have any hidden purchases. I have three Macs and all are experiencing the same issue so this is an account problem and not a computer software problem. The funny thing is that it's still recognizing updates.Yes, I've tried signing out and back in to view my account with no luck. The only thing I did weird last night was I disabled the Itunes store and automatic downloading on one computer. This morning when I had the above problem I put all the settings back.Â

Receiving individual Final Cut X redemption codes for our fleet of MAC Minis begs the question; "How do we deploy this software". There must be a better(easier faster way) than to download, install and configure each machine separately. (This will take weeks). This software cannot, it seems, be deployed by Apple Remote Desktop. Earlier when i was using Internet Explorer in windows, i used to save in Favourites the various links of common web sites which i used to visit for avoiding searchng for these web sites again and again. Now, after switching to Apple, when i started using Safari, i was looking for similar Favourite folder to save common bookmarks, but i did not find any. Instead, i got one folder as Popular, which i feel as equivalent as Favourite in internet explorer.Â
Now, to organise the links in alphabetical order, i am unable to organise, since i did not find any option for the same.

I have a folder with many pictures in it. Right now, they are in a list sorted by name:

I would like to manually re-arrange a few so that it looks like this:

However, Finder won't let me take them out of their arrangement. When i try to drag a file down, it just snaps back to its original position.
I've set it as Arrange by-none and sort by-name, so shouldn't this let me move them?Â

When you sync your iPhone you sometimes get the following message:Â
Itunes has found purchased items on the iphone thats arenot present in your itunes library.Â
There are two reasons for this:
1. I have deleted apps in iTunes that I don't want, but not on the iPhone. I don't want to transfer the apps back to iTunes because I want them gone.
2. I have bought apps on the iPhone that I do want to keep. I want these transferred to iTunes.Â
So if I have both types 1 and 2 then there is no good answer. Preferably iTunes should offer to sync and choose which apps to transfer and what not to transfer. Is there a way to change this behaviour? By the time I sync I don't know what I've done so I'm usually not sure how to answer the question. Sometimes I like to bulk delete apps in iTunes--it is easier than doing it on the iPhone.

He asked me how he could make it so that he could organize all of his safari windows neatly on the display (automatically -- without manually dragging each one to it's corner on the respective display) so that he could have a bunch of safari windows open at the same time without overlapping each other. He came from Windows 7 and is used to the feature where you can drag a window to one side of the screen and have the window sized to the left half of the screen accordingly. He doesn't want exactly this, because that would waste a lot of the available real estate he has, but he needs something so that he doesn't have to drag 10 windows all across the landscape every time he opens safari.
