I don't understand this message. I thought that if I bought a song or an app from my iPhone it would be brought to iTunes on my MacBook when I did a synch, or direclty from the store. How would I identify what items the message is referring to, and how would I add them to my library?

I purchased a song from the iTunes Store on my iPhone and wanted to sync it to my Mac. But it doesn't. I found out that its size is not there, but it is a "stream" (if I open the list in iTunes with all my songs on my iPhone), but it isn't! Any ideas what I can do now? I just purchased 3 audiobooks through iTunes to listen to on my iPhone 3GS (plenty of free memory). When viewing "books" in my Library in iTunes on my Mac, it shows the 3 books I successfully purchased on my Mac. However, when I sync my phone to my Mac, my purchased audiobooks are not syncing nor showing up no matter what I do. All my songs/music purchased always syncs perfectly, and I have everything checked in iTunes to sync properly for audiobooks: sync "audiobooks" is checked (only book showing up on iPhone is one I purchased on my iPhone so it downloaded directly there from iTunes), "purchased" & "audiobooks" playlist checked, etc. I bought these audiobooks directly through iTunes and they downloaded to my iTunes on my Mac properly, but just will NOT sync over to my iPhone for me to listen to them!

I have a gateway laptop running vista. I purchased 251 songs and videos on itunes. When I attempts to download I receives the error.
"Unable to check for available downloads. The network connection timed out.
Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."
After running all the useless itunes diags which pass. I contacted Apple and they told him that I needed to modify the network settings. I verified that all network setting where fine. Apple told me it was his computer so I bought a Mac and the error still continue on the new computer.

I am an iphone and ipad user and have just bought a MacBook Air. I have transferred items purchased bought on the ipad and iphone to my library and all my apps are appearing in iTunes on my new MacBook. However I cannot seem to use/launch the apps? They are not appearing under Finder > Applications and do not appear on the Desktop as I would have expected them to appear. Where are these apps or can I not use them on the MacBook?

I am using OSX Mail and a me.com address, via O2 broadband in the UK. About once a day, Mail, apparenty randomly, reloads dozens of recently read and deleted messages. So, just now for example, I appear to have 68 new messages, and it's all stuff I've dealt with already, some of it is in the InBox and some is filed in other Mailboxes - doesn't seem to make any difference. So now I'm getting duplicates and probably throwing out items I meant to keep.
This is just happening on my desktop iMac and is not replicated on my iPhone or Macbook Air. It feels as if the sync between the iMac and iCloud is somehow corrupting, if that's possible.
This has been going on for a few weeks and so isn't getting better on its own (as I have read in other postings). It also doesn't seem to be linked to any other event. The iMac is on all the time, either in use or asleep, and maybe gets restarted once a week.
I am wary of deleting things from the Library in case I either lose ALL my mail or it decides to replicate every message in the archive.

Trying to re-install Twitter from the Mac App Store. When I click "install" I get a prompt to type in my Apple ID (pre-filled with jonas.clement@hotmail.com; NOT ME). When I type my correct Apple ID and password in I get an "Error -4" message followed by "Unknown Error" message.
I have NO clue who jonas.clement@hotmail.com is. My account has not been hacked (at least no unauthorized purchases have been made). When I view my previously purchased apps, I see the whole list, Twitter, included...but I can't seem to download it.

Why am I getting this error message every time I open iTunes? I'm giving the option of Sync or don't Sync and click sync and there are no problems. Is it just for those people who are clueless about this stuff, since if 8.1 is your first install the default will be 256kbps?I ripped my entire library at 256kbps AAC (cbr). I have an Apogee Duet and Grado SR225 headphones and I can only just barely tell the difference between Apple Lossless or linear, and 256 AAC. Same goes for my home stereo system with Energy Pro 22 speakers and NAD 2200 amp and 1240 preamp and Rotel CD player. I don't have the best equipment in the world, but it certainly is good enough for these listening tests.Now, 128kbps is another story. I can definitely hear a difference between that and 256 or ALAC or linear.
