ITunes :: List Apps By The Account That Purchased It?
Jul 4, 2012
I've got more than one person downloading apps to my iTunes, and so I'd like to list all apps purchased by one account (meaning the same email address). How can I separate apps like this? I can't seem to find any columns that I can add to the Apps tab to sort apps in this way.
Info:
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4), 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3, 16 GB RAM
I have purchased many apps in the last year or two with my iphone using apple apps but when I try to find those apps for downloading to my macbook air, they're not there. It makes it seem as if I need to repurchase them again using the same account. Is there something I need to do to find them?
My employer wants me to take a print out of all the apps ever purchased with their cost for our financial records. I scoured the internte but couldnt find any solution. All I can do is see the purchase history, but cant print it out. I tried printing my apps as songs, it does print a list but it doesnt give the the price.
The MacBook Pro that I have used for iTunes crashed yesterday, fortunately I have a Time Machine backup. I was informed that it was unlikely that I could repair the system given its age. With that understanding I began to restore my files etc onto our iMac system. I used the Data Migration tool and copied everything across.
For my music in iTunes I simply downloaded all of the songs from the cloud to the new system. All is well there. However I do not see any of the Apps that I have purchased previously on my older system. I was able to locate them on the Time Machine backup and I copied them to the following folder: Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Apps. When I restart iTunes they are not present in the Apps folder. How I can get iTunes to recognize these Apps or is there a way download purchased Apps from the iTunes store? I had the latest version of Mavericks installed
ok so every time i plug my iPhone 5s into my mac and open up iTunes to sync some music to my phone, i go to "music" and click the button "sync" at the bottom of the page in the iPhone music section. but all my apps gets transferred on my phone again even the apps that i deleted
Are apps purchased from iTunes only intended for devices, and not for iMac computers? I purchased two (AgingBooth & FatBooth), but the suffixes(?) are .ipa - not something my computer will open. I assume these downloads were intended for iPhone or iPad, but I thought I had selected for Mac Apps. Perhaps I would have to buy them from the App Store instead, but I just wanted to know so I did not make the same mistake in the future.
My Daughter was given an i-tunes voucher and set up an account on i-tunes and then purchased songs using the voucher. the trouble is, we had a single account that we used for purchasing songs so that we could all download the purchased songs. Now she has synced her i-phone against her new account but i'd simply like to bring the new songs she purchased back into the main library and keep it that way.
My daughter has purchased 300+ songs using my Apple ID.She now has her own Apple ID and I want to move all of her purchased music to her own account. I have a Mac, she has a PC - can this be done?
I have purchased several ringtones using my iphone 4 and they do not appear in my itunes account in the purchased section. I had to plug into a different computer than I usually do to charge my phone and all of my ringtones are now gone. Do I have to repurchase tones?
we set up OUR Apple account using my then wife's (now ex-wife's) e-mail address and created OUR apple ID account under her name. Fast forward eight years, it has now been two years since my divorce and I have tons of music that was purchased using my ex-wife's Apple account. During the last two years, playing the music that was purchased with her account has not been an issue. I select my music that I want to listen to, hit play and it played. But ever since the latest update from iTunes, I now have a HUGE issue. The latest update requires computers to now be "authorized" to play purchased music and any purchased music must now be verified by the account ID and password used to purchase the music. This has created a catastrophe because my ex-wife has now of course changed her Apple ID password which means I no longer have access to about $1000 worth of music because of this new authorization! This has made me livid to say the least because this seems to be an arbitrary and completely random bull crap requirement from Apple. I have tried to resolve this through Apple support but since it is now nearly impossible to speak to a human at Apple, the email method of communication has yielded diddly squat. I doubt this "forum method" will be any more productive but I have to try. I have begun a social media campaign against Apple's methods of burying random and arbitrary requirements deep within their regular software updates. I've already paid for the music once. I won't pay for it again.
Is there any way to de-authorize all computers associated with an iTunes account without going to each machine?
Reason being... I had a few computers that I've since reloaded that I forgot to de-authorize them before wiping them out. Unfortunately, they must be still in there because I'm not able to add any of my new reloaded machines. (says I've reached my 5 machine max)
My middle son is off to college this week (in Japan) and will be taking with him a new MacBook Air. Naturally, he wants to also take his music and apps that he has purchased over the years, which now reside on my iMac (the family's media hub) along with music and apps for all the other members of the family.
But I can't find any way to sort the music and apps by account, which means he'll have to go through the entire iTunes libray one song and one app at a time. That'll take way too much time.
Is there a way to easily identify the music and apps associated with a single iTunes account from among many accounts?
I also face this same prospect when the youngest child goes off to college in 3 years, so if I can figure this out for the middle child, it will save considerable time when the youngest gets her own Mac.
Paypal limited my account yesterday so do not use various IP addresses when you're paying using Paypal.
I'm thinking of opening a new account using a new email address. Therefore I have to open a new iTunes account too.
What I'm worried about are the sixty free apps I'm using on iPad. Will I be able to update free apps using the new account or I have to redownload all of them?
I accidently clicked the little x next to my purchase of Lion, and now it is not on my purchased apps list. How do I get it back on my purchased list, so I don't have to pay to download it again?

I am an iphone and ipad user and have just bought a MacBook Air. I have transferred items purchased bought on the ipad and iphone to my library and all my apps are appearing in iTunes on my new MacBook. However I cannot seem to use/launch the apps? They are not appearing under Finder > Applications and do not appear on the Desktop as I would have expected them to appear. Where are these apps or can I not use them on the MacBook?
I purchased quite a few apps on my husband's iTune because we synched on the same computer. Now that I am using the iCloud I want my own iTune account so that my husband's devices don't synch with my devices. Do I have to purchase the apps again in my new account or can I transfer them from my husband's account?
Running into the following problem. When I try to update some of my purchased apps, I get an error message stating that I need to sign into the account that I used to purchase the apps. I only have one Apple ID and use it to purchase apps. Now, I cannot perform any updates on these apps. I am worried that if I delete the apps and try to install them again through the Mac App Store, I will not be able to do so as I feel that the mapping between my account and the apps has been lost.
