I have lots of video to play, one day I couldn't play my video without quitting iTunes first. Now whenever I want to play a video, I need to quit iTunes because I didn't quit from after the previous time that I was playing a video clip from my library. I have reinstalled iTunes without effect.

I own a Sony Cyber-shot camera, and a 24 inch IMAC computer. I took a short video clip and downloaded it to Iphoto (no problem doing that). I then downloaded the clip to a 4 gpb flash drive, as an mp4 video. My problem is that my friends Microsoft based PC can't play it.

When I select any song from this one, specific album in my library, iTunes will hesitate for a second, and the Quicktime-esque player window will automatically appear too. This happens only with this one album, and it's very frustrating. I will attach a screenshot of the problem. And also, if I go to close this player window, the song stops.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIn iTunes on OS Lion on an iMac, I started getting an error message that the "video needs QuickTIme and it is no longer supported by iTunes." What gives? The files are m4v and won't play even 5 minutes after I download them.
If I download them to my MacBook then access them through the shared media, they will play and become part of the library on the iMac. Seems like a lot of bother just to watch a video.
Anyone have a clue about what's going on?

I've had iTunes 10 on my PPC Mac crash twice in the past hour while playing SD video that worked fine in iTunes 9 here. The first time iTunes itself crashed. The 2nd time it caused a kernel panic. Has anyone else had any issues playing video with iTunes 10, particularly under Leopard or a PPC machine under Leopard? I'm about ready to go back to iTunes 9 at this rate.

For whatever reason, as soon as I click one to play it pulls up the video player although the video screen remains blank. Fluke worked on older itunes versions, is there a new issue I don't know? Anyway to fix?

When I try to play a TV show purchased from iTunes that's in HD or HD-SD format, I get the following error (and no video): This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). Any way around this, or am I just stuck because this monitor is "old"?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI never noticed this on my last hp laptop but my new dell almost everything in itunes plays with the audio out of sync with the video. most noticeable on podcasts. my dell is not high end but it has duel core amd 64 4400 chips 2 gigs of ram. running xp. it has a built in nvidia geforce 6150l video card with a built in sound card. it has done this since I got it a month ago. it is not an issue playing dvd's in windows media player. just itunes. any clues?

I have a large external hardrive that I am using to backup my entire DVD collection in friendly .m4v format. Playing them on my Mac however opens iTunes and copies a file that is nearly 1GB to my local hard drive.
I am buying a new iMac and want to transfer my entire itunes library of music and video and my iphoto library. All this media is currently on 3 total external drives and I would like it all to live on one single external drive going forward.

-Downloaded a movie from a torrent site (Dont shoot me, I rented it like 6 times)...
-After download was complete, i opened it up...
-it was an .mp4 file and it played in Quicktime and I could see it AND hear it, everythings' fine...
-I drag the file into iMovie HD...
-After the clip (or movie) was imported I played it and it doesn't show video, i can only hear it.

When I click on them I can see the video but I would prefer to see an image which makes identifying each video much easier.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI did a shoot with audio on a green screen stage. I have some video clips of my actors shot on a RED Scarlett in 4K 29.97.I have audio clips recorded on a Zoom H4 with a boom mic at 16 bit 44.1 khz.
I take the 2 clips in FCP X and I create a synchronized clip. The video clip doesn't have an audio channel so I have to manually sync using the slate. I have the correct audio clip and the correct video clip, but the audio clip is longer than the video clip. It's just running a tad slower than the video clip. I tried creating a project in 44.1khz instead of 48khz and FCP X didn't treat it any differently.
I'm not too technically savvy when it comes to computers. I do amateur video editing with Final Cut Pro. I purchased a Mac Mini (2.0ghz, 1GB RAM, base model) and it's taking forever to render my 1.8gb clip. I think total render time with some music is about 1.5 hours as opposed to my old computer (a 2.4ghz penryn mbp, 2gb ram) which would do it in maybe 10 minutes I'd assume. My question to you all is, is my unit defective? Will upping the ram increase the clock speed or am I way in over my head purchasing this unit?

I'm importing 720p HD video from my new digicam, a Panasonic DMC-ZS3. After importing the video into iMovie, the speed of replay is way too fast (2-3x normal speed).
