Applications :: HD Movie Downloads Come To ITunes
Dec 5, 2010Just found this while browsing the iTunes movie store, you can now buy HD movies!! There is only a very small number of HD films available at the moment and they all seem to be reasonably priced. Can't wait for the HD library to be expanded.

This is the first time I've encountered this problem. I have watched the movie several times before. Do movies from iTunes expire?

Jun 22, 2010I am having an issue with iTunes (9.2) and a movie that I rented from the iTunes Store. Around a month I go I rented 'Borstal Boy' when it was the 99p Film of the Week. I then transfered this to my iPad to watch on the train, which I did. I have obviously synced back after this. Now everytime I download an app, or podcast etc, 'Borstal Boy' is automatically added to my download list and starts to re-download (1.08GB). If I cancel the download it automatically adds itself back into the list next time I download anything else. If I leave it to download and try to play it (to force it to recognise that it has been watched), it asks me to confirm that I accept I have 48 hours to watch it once it starts, then it says that "it is authorised to play on another computer or device". If I delete this, it will then just try and re-download. stop this from constantly trying to download? I've watched the film, and don't want it anymore.

Apr 18, 2012i normally rent a lot of movies from itunes to watch on my TV, but a couple times i have bought certain films, but when i log into my itunes it then tries and download the said movie(s) and i cancel it, because 1. this slows down my internet connection lots and 2. i dont want the movie stored on my MBP!

Apr 23, 2012I bought the film, "Woodstock," a couple of years ago thru iTunes. I see the film listed in iTunes and I see the actual file on my computer, but I cannot get it to play. It has played in the past. I was going to re-download thru iCloud, but it says it's already downloaded, which it is. I have also tried logging into iTunes using my other IDs but still it won't play. I also tried to open it in QuickTime, but I got this error message - <The document “Woodstock_ 3 Days of Peace and Music (Director's Cut).m4v” could not be opened. This content is not authorized.>

May 2, 2012I bought a DVD that included a digital copy. I've had these in the past they've always downloaded under the Purchased section of the itunes store and, at the same time, will show under my Movies playlist in itunes (the default playlist, it's not one I created). However, this time around I only see the movie under Purchased. I can drag it to Movies but it never goes there. I just need mine to show in my Movies playlist. It has been a while since I've downloaded anything through the store so maybe this is something new? I've looked at all of the movie info and metadata and there isn't anything out of the ordinary.

Aug 2, 2010I bought an album off iTunes a while ago but didn't download it immediately because of capping my internet data allowance and etc., - the net was slowed down to 64 kbps. Anyway, at the beginning of the month when I came back to download the album again it wasn't in the pending download section. I'm not sure where to find it or where to get the songs.

However, I went and tried to redownload an app I had previously installed and I am not allowed. It's under my email and apple ID, but my mom is on the same account, on her own computer. I want to have automatic downloads so I can use it for my iphone and ipad, but I don't want her song to end up going to my devices or laptop when she downloads from her own computer. is there a way to either turn off automatic downloads for just one computer, or get her a new account, but letting her transfer all of her music onto the new one?

Sep 4, 2014I have filmed using a Canon XF300 camera which produces MPEG -2 files on CF cards. I have used the highest quality setting - 1920x1080 i50 : this is broadcast standard.
I use FCP version 7.03 to log and transfer the material. I have edited a half hour project with various effects and that too has worked. BUT now I cannot find a way of EXPORTING this as a QT movie to copy onto a 4Gb DVD. I have tried various settings - Apple Pro Res 422 is the favourite but it produces huge files. I find the digital domain hasn't been covered well enough in the FCP version I have.

Apr 28, 2012I've deleted all the movies from my mac and when I open my system profile it shows I have 42GB of movies somewhere hidden on my macbook. I've tried searching .mov in my spotlight (which yields nothing) and manually searching through the iTunes folder and movies folder (which are empty).Where I can find these hidden movie files -- 42gb is pretty hefty.
